Hi ladies,

as I know there have been several early birds who had a BFP with due date in July, I thought I’d set up a thread here.

Baby: #1

Oh really?! I’ve been too scared to google! Haha. I got pg with my other 3 really easily and never used opks or the likes, just DTD lots!

lgh05 · 25/10/2017 08:53

What a funny day for us! Let's write it off, try and stay relaxed today and tomorrow is a new day!

Becparks · 25/10/2017 09:01

My nausea has started this morning. It’s very low level but defo there. My cycles are weird so due date is 2nd July according to lmp but reckon it’s a bit earlier... so I am about 4.5 weeks now

18mnthsandcounting · 25/10/2017 09:26

I’ve felt nauseous as well today but I’m sure it’s too early I’m only 4 weeks?!

HoldTightPretendItsAPlan · 25/10/2017 10:20

Hi, can I (tentatively) join you all?

Age: 28
Baby: #1
TTC: 5 cycles / 8 months
BFP: 12dpo on 22.10.17
Due according to Natural Cycles app: 04.07.2018

I had an early loss just before 6 weeks in mid-September, and this is the first cycle after. I'm so anxious!

Up to now I've had sore boobs, getting worse as the day goes on, and some low-level nausea. I've moved onto decaf drinks, and I'm telling myself that it means I don't have to worry about caffeine in chocolate.

I'm hoping & praying that this is a sticky bean.

hopegg · 25/10/2017 10:39

Hi ladies,

Holdtight-Welcome! Sorry to hear about loss. Sore boobs isn't nice but at least with symptoms you know it's still happening.

Im baby #1 and just can't tell whither it's ok to get all excited yet or if I should wait until the scan. I'm leaning towards excited but my partner is firmly in the wait till the scan camp.

Beginning to feel the nausea this morning and crazy thirsty all the time!

Vonni1 · 25/10/2017 10:46

Hey all

I’d like to join this thread too.

Age -31
Cycle -3
BFP - 13 days after OV on the 20th october
Due- 1st July
Child # 1.

Boobs hurt a lot. Had very vivid dreams and a bit of soreness early on but ok now. Strangely enough I keep forgetting because otherwise I feel fine! Seeing the midwife on the 9th November for my first appointment. DH is as excited as I am which is a relief. Bracing myself for life turned upside down!

JB1983 · 25/10/2017 10:50

Hi can I tentatively join. Got a squinter this morning at 10DPO.
Still very early days but hoping this is a sticky little bean. Will no doubt be spending the whole first trimester in a panic due to a loss at 14weeks earlier this summer.

Age:33
TTC #1
Due: 8th July 18

Will retest on Friday and hopefully see some line progression.

Peanutty86 · 25/10/2017 12:02

Hi to all the new ladies!

Anyone else paranoid that people ‘just know’? I told husband last night and he said he wants to wait to tell anyone until we’ve had the 12 week scan. I said no chance I’m not telling my family before as they would be who I’d talk if I was to miss-carry. He’s happy for me to tell them.
But I’m at work and feel like people are looking at me and think ‘oh god she’s pregnant.’ Yesterday I messaged a colleague and when he came back to me about 20 mins later I said oh sorry I can’t even remember why I messaged you. So he said ‘there are two reasons for this: you’re getting old or you’re pregnant!’ I just replied ‘oh yeah it’s my birthday next week.....!’ But still, very paranoid.

I also had a loss in the summer JB it’s hard to get excited I feel anxious and I will until I know everything is ok x

Becparks · 25/10/2017 13:56

I don’t see any issue in telling people - even my kids know...if it doesn’t work out it doesn’t work out and it’s good to have support around... kids have been told it doesn’t always stick! My oh is the opposite - in Gibraltar they don’t have the 12 week rule! I’m not telling Work though till I have to...at least after Christmas 🎄

Becparks · 25/10/2017 13:57

Also I don’t know how you waited to tell your husband! That’s some self control :) mine was with me in the loo hehe 😂

Hulaballoo · 25/10/2017 14:04

Wish no time to read all so a quick hello! I'm at a theme park today!!! So I've got a terrible migraine.... Cough cough.... 😳 will catch up with posts properly when back home lol. Welcome to everyone new. 😁

hopegg · 25/10/2017 14:56

I wonder if the men want to wait until the scan because it all feels a bit unreal to them? I can feel that my body is doing stuff it doesn't normally but they don't get that. I'm hoping my partner will be happier telling people after our 1st midwife appointment on 15th Nov

Winterfellismyhome · 25/10/2017 15:01

Hi all! Took a first response and a clear blue yesterday which were both positive. AF due today. Had cramping so took a clearblue weekly test which put me at 2-3 weeks Smile

Going to Disney in a month! ConfusedBlush

@Becparks it was for many reasons. Two of them are I didn’t want to get his hopes up before AF was due and also, he met a customer at the football on Sunday so came home tipsy, Monday we went out for a big family meal and he ended up quite drunk. (He really doesn’t drink often!)

Peanutty86 · 25/10/2017 18:17

@lgh05 @Hulaballoo I just had a theory: Monday night I had a good meal out and ate loads. Next day quote strong line. Tuesday night however I had soup with bread, tiny bit fainter line. Guess it was just more liquid in my body....? I can’t stop testing. I just had another 40 ICs delivered 🙈

OP posts:
lgh05 · 25/10/2017 18:29

@Peanutty86 (like your theory) you are also hysterical with the test ordering! My DH he put a ban on me now, I am only testing Friday now with a regular test. Confused

lgh05 · 25/10/2017 18:30

What are ICs? Sorry not used to the abbreviations

Peanutty86 · 25/10/2017 18:34

@lgh05 he doesn’t know..... Just ordered 4 x FRER for £15 off amazon because I need to see the line getting darker. Where I come from, you have your first scan around 6-8 weeks to check everything is in the right place. If you can’t see the heartbeat yet they have you come back a couple of weeks later. And then again around 13 weeks. Waiting for a scan for 12 weeks here is torture.
I’ve just booked flights to go tell my family so will be 6 weeks when I’m there. Doubt that you’ll see a heartbeat but still hoping my midwife sister can sneak me into the hospital for a cheeky scan to calm nerves....

Becparks · 25/10/2017 18:47

I just don’t know how you kept it quiet! Well done :)

Somethininthewater · 25/10/2017 19:24

In a bit of a muddle here... anyone else had implantation bleeding around 10dpo? Got a very faint positive yesterday but had red/pink spotting today that has now turned brown... stories happy endings welcome x

Becparks · 25/10/2017 19:33

Sorry my dear I’ve never had implantation bleeding so can’t comment. Just wanted to give a response - keeping everything crossed for you x

Peanutty86 · 25/10/2017 19:40

@Somethininthewater sorry if this is a stupid question, but I thought your body only produces hcg after implantation, so I doubt there could be a positive test before implantation? As u don’t think blood would hang around in your uterus for 24 hours, come out and still be pink? Don’t quote me on it, I’ve not googled it. But honestly darling try not to worry. So so sooooo many women have spotting! Are you taking your BBT? I still do and every morning I wake up I’m anxious it might go down but so far its moste gone up. Other option would be to speak to your GP to do blood tests?

OP posts:
Peanutty86 · 25/10/2017 19:43

You guys, I’ve just done another FRER as the ICs don’t really show anything and I worried after this morning... Line from now at 13dpo is darker than 12&13 dpo. Thank f**k for that!
