Hi ladies,

as I know there have been several early birds who had a BFP with due date in July, I thought I’d set up a thread here.

Age: 31 (in a week 😫)
Baby: #1
TTC: 1.5 cycles
BFP: 10dpo on 22.10.17
Due date according to OV: 04.07.2018

@Lemontwist Thank you! It's actually the first time I've thrown up, up until now it has been lingering nausea. Sod's law that it would happen when I'm in a public place surrounded by people and have no escape (sudden wave arrived between stations!), and when I have to go straight to a meeting afterwards, munching Smints and reeking of perfume-disguised bile... ! Grin

Lemontwist · 28/11/2017 19:06

Hellybelly I didn't feel sick at all with my first 2 pregnancies. Its only this time. Embrace it, believe me Smile

Heregoes I'm sure you were fine and no one noticed a thing Grin

MissyEm · 28/11/2017 19:53

God I never thought of public place situations. What do you do to prepare? Smints and gum ....... Small plastic bag?!

Heregoeseverything · 28/11/2017 20:01

@Missyem On reflection, yes that sounds like a good kit... but I was rather taken by surprise!! In future I may carry for a bag for emergencies. Also Smints and body spray (Boots had Impulse on offer so I grabbed one and smelt of teenage girl all day - an improvement on bile).

bathandpjs · 28/11/2017 20:02

Does anyone else not feel pregnant in the slightest?

LucyDolly · 29/11/2017 08:11

Hi all 👋🏼 I’m Lucy 29.

I joined days ago but I didn’t get the confirmation to I’m so happy to finally be able to comment as I have been reading all the posts.

I found out on Friday that I’m pregnant with my first!
Smile
I went for my flu jab and knew I was a few days late which for me NEVER happens but I had been super ill for two weeks before so didn’t really think much of it . Pharmacist was is there a possibility you could be pregnant? And I went I suppose...but nooo I won’t be will I? She just laughed and went get a test!

Anyway got home took two tests and sure enough positive! I’m so reassured by your comments as my first thoughts was oh my god no .,:I can’t be...then like NUMB.

Me and other half only met in feb but we bought a house in sept...it’s been a whirlwind but we can go into that another time. So we weren’t “trying” but we weren’t using anything. In October I got really sad when I came on as I felt pregnant just before! Had a good cry so when this happened the next month you can imagine my emotions!

It’s taken a few days to settle in. I handed the oh and the test when he got home and he went what does that mean ? (Just the cheap ones) but he too is now really excited.

I would value any support possible as I do feel so scared at the moment, it’s a shock! Also having just moved miles away I have no friends local so I’m already thinking god I’m going to be so lonely!

Anyway I’m writing far too much!

Lucy x

Ps symptoms so far: boobs feel bigger (I too hold them when I go downstairs ha!) lower “period type” pains last week but they have got much less, headaches. A bit of naesea here and there . Craving fizzy pop as always thirsty!

LucyDolly · 29/11/2017 08:20

Ps due date 27th July so may need to join August group if there is one ha :)?

Dorabean · 29/11/2017 08:25

Congratulations @LucyDolly Thanks. I should be due around the same time as you!

LucyDolly · 29/11/2017 08:56

Thanks @dorabean :) congratulations to you too! Is it your first?

Forgot to say main over symptom THE BLOAT! Literally feel like a balloon

Dorabean · 29/11/2017 09:12

@LucyDolly it's my 2nd pregnancy but I lost my son at 24 weeks earlier this year. So I'm a little anxious about this one!

Haha the bloating can be a little annoying but once that bump starts to form it's great Smile. I didn't get to get much bigger the first time, I was quite small compared to someone else I knew at the same point in their pregnancy!

LucyDolly · 29/11/2017 09:32

Gosh sending a hug! That must have been tremendously hard for you and your partner! I would be deverstated even now!
Positive vibes - everything is going to be fine this time round! :) HUG!

Can I ask have you told anyone else yet?do you plan to before 12 week scan?

AKP79 · 29/11/2017 11:20

Can you help me ladies with trying to determine my due date... this is a bit of a long shot, but for about a week before I had my positive test I knew I was pregnant (fourth pregnancy, first successful, next two were MMC). So I tested every day and they were all negative until 10 November when the test showed positive.

The problem I have is I have no idea when my previous period was (I had an extremely stressful September/October and my period was the last thing on my mind). We were really trying so I wasn't tracking my dates either.

So... any chance anyone can help? Saw my midwife yesterday hoping I might get a dating scan especially with my history of MMCs but she said no.

Really want to work out how far I am and my due date...

Fullofqs · 29/11/2017 11:28

Hi ladies, is this thread still active? Thought I'd join in :) currently 7 weeks and 4 days gone

Age: 27
Baby: #1
TTC: Been off contraception for about 5 years but haven't been trying until recently, so about 6 months I guess :)
BFP: 25/11/2017
Due date according to OV: 14.07.2018

Dorabean · 29/11/2017 13:04

@AKP79 I thought they may have given you an early scan having had 2 miscarriages? I'm having an early scan this time round and that would really help you! Maybe speak to your GP too?

@LucyDolly Thank you. It has been so hard and I really hope that this pregnancy works out for us! We need it! We've told both our Mums and one of my sisters, we felt we needed the support with being a bit worried with previous experiences. Last time we waited until after 12 weeks to tell friends and extended family. Our parents and siblings knew before the scan though! Have you told anyone?

AKP79 · 29/11/2017 13:36

Hi Dorabean thank you. I was really hoping for an early scan but they wont in this area until you've had 3 in a row or if you're bleeding. It might be worth a call to the GP though...

Dorabean · 29/11/2017 13:50

Yes I would! It'll reassure you as well! Let us know how you get on Smile

Windowgazer123 · 01/12/2017 22:28

Hello. Is everyone waiting for their 12 week or has anyone decided to go for an earlier one??
My 12 week is in January and I don't feel I can wait that long..
how about anyone else??

hannknitted · 02/12/2017 00:39

@Windowgazer123 I'll be 12 weeks in January too - booked in for a private early scan on 21st Dec when I'll be 8+3, purely for some reassurance so we can tell some close family over Christmas.

Probably wouldn't have gone for an early scan if it wasn't for the time of year - but we just thought that it would be really hard to keep it a secret over the Christmas period when there is generally a lot of socialising and drinking going on with our families, and also that it would be a nice time to share the news - we don't live near either of our families and don't always get to spend a lot of time with them so Christmas is the perfect opportunity for us to share the news face to face Smile

Windowgazer123 · 02/12/2017 10:12

@hannknitted Makes total sense. How lovely that will be. You are 3 days behind me.
I think I'm going to have an early scan at wk 7/8 but then I'm also debating whether or not to have the Harmony test. But they are expensive too and I don't want to go overboard.

Anyone else thinking of a harmony test?

Stacy07 · 02/12/2017 10:14

Hi everyone.

I’m 32, got my BFP very early on when I think I was around 4 weeks. I’m 7+1 today and think my due date will be around 20/07/18!

This is my second pregnancy. DS is coming up for 7 in Jan and this baby is with my new partner.
Was extremely gobsmacked, nervous, scared when first found out as I’m naturally a worrier and wondering how whole family dynamics was going to work out, my bf was very happy from word go but a little concerned how I was so terrified but just took a few days to come round and get used to the idea, think was just a shock and now I’m delighted and we will just need to make things work!

Didn’t have any sickness etc with first pregnancy. This one is very different, boobs are incredibly sore, a lot of cramping pains, stitch like pains at side, back pain, feeling sick and constant sore heads?

I’ve told only close family, mum Dad brother and his fiancée and same on my boyfriends side. Very nervous about telling my work and DS’ Dad.

18mnthsandcounting · 02/12/2017 11:06

I’ve been for an early scan (private) today at 9+1 baby is healthy, this is my first baby had two previous mmc. Had to have an early one for piece of mind! Got my next scan booked for 10 days time (nhs) I also agree with you ladies I couldn’t wait any longer so glad I’ve been and know all is good. Fingers crossed for you ladies 🤞🏼

suz1rr · 02/12/2017 21:09

Hi, just joining this thread. I'm 32, have a 17 month old DS, and I'm due on 31st July (according to app) so only just making this group! :)
Sickness started 2 days ago, had it until 24 weeks with my little boy, really hoping it doesn't last as long....!

LucyDolly · 03/12/2017 08:09

We are doing similar to @hannknitted
Booked private one half price at a new place in Prescot (£25) for Saturday before Christmas - I cannot WAIT- so we can tell mums on Xmas day Smile

I will be 9 weeks then :) with it being my first and as I do suffer from anxiety ( not on meds) I don’t think I could have waited untill 12 weeks but I know 9 weeks is still not the “safe zone” but positive vibes everything will be fine xx

LucyDolly · 03/12/2017 08:12

@18mnthsandcounting congrats bet it was amazing to see ! Did you see a heartbeat? How exciting!

@Stacy07 congrats!

@Dorabean I personally haven’t told anyone yet OH has told his best friend

18mnthsandcounting · 03/12/2017 16:44

@lucydolly yes we did was amazing! X
