Anyone else? I know I'm an early bird. BFP yesterday and today (AF was due today)

Already a mix of impatient and freaking eat.

Need to stop googling and reading statistics that stress me out. Hoping I feel a bit more chilled when I get to 12 weeks

Also don't know when to tell family, friends, work. DH and I live (temporarily, but temporarily like the next 6 months) in an annex at my parents so we will see them all the time. Sure my Mum will guess something is up. Best friends? manager? work friends?

Thinking I will end up telling my parents quite soon. but DHs parents, and best friends, say 8 weeks? no way I can wait until 12 weeks I dont think which I know is 'traditional'

its all a minefield to me!

Do I ring the Drs now? wait? Will the DRs care yet?

the questions!

After doing three tests with a positive result each time I went to see the dr yesterday. I thought he'd also do a test but he didn't. I feel like I need his confirmation to actually trust the result. Anyone else feel like that? Anyway on a nicer note, I floated about in work today knowing I've got a super exciting secret! GrinGrinGrin

Bisset80 · 18/10/2017 15:09

Congratulations @arlington that's amazing, is this your first through ivf (if you don't mind me asking Smile)

@fine I know how you feel, you want to enjoy it but scared to, after my last pregnancy (I had went into early labour) I had suffered with antenatal depression but this time round I am depression free so want to enjoy it as I didn't last time but I'm scared at the same time!!

@mrs you're welcome Smile and again I know how you feel I need confirmation also haha can't wait to see my mw and have my first scan to confirm its real haha xxx

meow1989 · 18/10/2017 15:36

Is anyone thinking of having a private early scan? I think I'll have one at 7+5 (Saturday so hubs can come) for reassurance!

Feeling pretty good today, slight back twinges and boobs still sore, could do with a nap but ok, test positive again this morning 😅

Only 35 weeks and 6 days to go haha!

Congrats to new bfp ladies!

CrmbleBee · 18/10/2017 17:13

Mine is booked for 8 weeks (ish). :)

MrsWWright · 18/10/2017 17:33

@meow1989 I'm thinking of an early scan too to put my mind at ease.
@Bisset80 I had pre and post natal depression my last pregnancy too. I'm hoping to put all my last regrets behind me as it still makes me feel guilty.
Here's to enjoying pregnancy and new babies!! Grin❤️

Bisset80 · 19/10/2017 07:28

@Mrs the guilt is the worst!! Yes I totally agree here's to us enjoying this one guilt free Grin xx

MrsWWright · 19/10/2017 08:27

@Bisset80 we told our mums yesterday. Feels a bit more real now I've shared the news. Have any of you ladies told anyone yet? Xx

Bisset80 · 19/10/2017 08:37

I've told my mam, my aunty and sister in law, we are going to see dh parents n xt weekend so will tell them then, but that's it for now waiting to tell my dd when I know I'm in the clear xxx

shortcake76 · 19/10/2017 09:27

Only myself, DH and in-laws know. We're telling my parents face to face Saturday. The reason we told in-laws first was because they're 6 hours away in the car and on holiday this weekend so DH wanted to tell them before they went. Though my MIL isn't happy with him as he phoned Tuesday and went on about his job situation for 20 mins first before throwing the oh and by the way....!!!

meow1989 · 19/10/2017 09:46

I know that then millions of tests I've done can't be wrong but I felt like I wouldn't believe it until it was there clearly in writing.

Had a completely "not pregnant" clear blue digi this time last week and feeling rotten with a sore throat today so tested again to make myself feel better.

Girls... it's official! ❤️❤️❤️

Maybe I'll stop testing now 😅

meow1989 · 19/10/2017 09:47

Also sorry for the over excitement!

Bisset80 · 19/10/2017 13:28

@short my dh parents live 6 hours away, we are going down next weekend to tell them then, hopefully this time round they will be happy as last time MIL wernt best pleased to start off with!!!!

Hahahaha @meow bless you!!!! Xxx

Flyingfruit · 19/10/2017 13:37

Is anyone else getting bursts of a really hot face? Sounds crazy but my cheeks literally look bright red and it normally lasts half hour or so and then happens again throughout the day. Can’t see anywhere that describes this as a symptom!

meow1989 · 19/10/2017 14:17

@Flyingfruit I get the occasional hot flush and wake up really hot and sweaty at nene guy, sort of the same thing?

Flyingfruit · 19/10/2017 14:32

Not sure, the rest of me is cold just feels like my face might burst in to flames 😂

Junibug · 19/10/2017 14:36

Hi all!

First time poster (long term lurker) here so forgive me if I get some of the acronyms wrong Grin

Just found out yesterday that I'm at least 5 weeks gone, well, according to online calculator and First Response test! Got midwife appt booked in 6th Nov but might try book an early scan before then.

Anyone know if the first midwife appt will include a scan?

All v. exciting - am 39 and only got married 5 weeks ago so we knew we wanted to get pregnant quite quickly. Am surprised it was this quick though! DH extremely chuffed Smile

Bisset80 · 19/10/2017 15:17

@juni congratulations!!! You're first mw won't include a scan but I think you can go privately to get an early one, you're first one through mw will be about 12 weeks Smile welcome to the club!! Xx

MrsWWright · 19/10/2017 17:43

@Junibug ha. I'm the same. I got married 3 weeks ago and bam, PG! lol

Ilovechocolatetoomuch · 19/10/2017 20:11

I have told my 3 closest friends. Both my parents died last year I would have most definitely told my mum by now if she was here. Not one single symptom yet apart from achy boobs. Looking forward to getting through the weekend and being 6 weeks.

Veggiehappy · 19/10/2017 20:31

@flyingfluke I was in a meeting today and while normally I go a bit red I had total hot flush and could feel myself sweating. Not sure what was going on there!!

My period is due today or tomorrow so I 'm still hoping that it doesn't come. I did the other clearblue in the packet today and the line was much stronger than when I did it earlier in the week so just hoping for the best!! I've felt the odd wave of feeling sick a couple of times...but felt fine today aside from hot flush!

Bluesnail · 19/10/2017 20:32

Hello all, got my positive result yesterday morning and I'm still in shock! Due 23 June, I am experiencing mild cramping which worried me but seems totally normal according to Google, and my boobs have started to hurt and look a bit more veiny. Still can't quite believe it!

Chocness · 19/10/2017 21:45

To all you ladies due June 2018. 💐

I’m due back end of June, only tested this morning so still in shock but the excitement is starting to settle in. My DH is over the moon which helps a lot! This will be our second DC.

lookingforthecorkscrew · 19/10/2017 21:51

Due on the 19th here. But so very 😬 about it all.

Junibug · 20/10/2017 08:50

Congrats to everyone due! My cramps have been pretty severe these past 48hrs so am hoping its nothing sinister. Keep telling myself that this could be entirely normal - my low pain threshold probably doesn't help! Confused

Maincat · 20/10/2017 10:49

Hello all! I'm also due mid-june. About 5 weeks so far, but feeling nervous after a miscarriage 15 months ago. It's taken a long time to get pregnant again!

I've also had cramps, hot flushes and mild nausea, but this all feels very different to the last one so fingers crossed. Trying to be positive but not get too excited yet, it's a hard balance! Nerves are getting the better of me at times.

Fingers crossed for everyone. Xx
