Anyone else? I know I'm an early bird. BFP yesterday and today (AF was due today)

Already a mix of impatient and freaking eat.

Need to stop googling and reading statistics that stress me out. Hoping I feel a bit more chilled when I get to 12 weeks

Also don't know when to tell family, friends, work. DH and I live (temporarily, but temporarily like the next 6 months) in an annex at my parents so we will see them all the time. Sure my Mum will guess something is up. Best friends? manager? work friends?

Thinking I will end up telling my parents quite soon. but DHs parents, and best friends, say 8 weeks? no way I can wait until 12 weeks I dont think which I know is 'traditional'

its all a minefield to me!

Do I ring the Drs now? wait? Will the DRs care yet?

the questions!

@Bisset80 tried to get a gp appointment but nothing until the walk in tomorrow morning.
I still have some period type pain but not bleeding yet. I'm sure it's not possible to get a negative frer and still be pregnant Sad

jemk83 · 23/10/2017 18:03

Hi,

Hope you don't mind me joining, I got my BFP last week and due 25th June. Very excited but also nervous until we get past the 12 week mark. How do you just chill out and enjoy the experience rather than freaking out at every little thing?! Oh yes, this is our first pregnancy so everything is brand new to us!

Finefineanddandy · 23/10/2017 18:16

User247 have you got an early pregnancy unit at the hospital near you? I didn't have to use it when I was pregnant before but a friend at the time hadn't a few early scans as an emergency.i don't know at what point in pregnancy they will do that but you could always ring and ask? Welcome all the new people!

Bisset80 · 23/10/2017 18:20

@user you can get a negative test if you're pregnant. You can't get a positive one if you're not pregnant, like it's been mentioned don't you have an early pregnancy unit?? You should go down ASAP hun x

Hi @jemk congratulations on your bfp!!! Haha I don't think we every settle especially on a first pregnancy as we don't know what to expect haha but enjoy every moment as it goes by very quick, do you have any apps on your phone or anything they are usually good to help guide you xxx

Is anyone else waking up drenched in sweat at night? So yucky 😔 am Ill at the moment too with the cold from hell but had this before too. Internet seems to say it’s normal though gp I saw last week wasn’t sure 🙄

Congrats @jemk83 !

jemk83 · 23/10/2017 19:02

Thanks @bisset80! Just the one app which I'm enjoying and bought a couple of books so far too. I think distraction is probably key for me just now, lol! We are also waiting to complete on a new house and the solicitor keeps telling us to 'be patient', so between that and waiting for the 12 week scan, I'm going out of my mind! Smile

Bisset80 · 23/10/2017 19:14

@meow not this time but last time I did, it was hurrendous!! Hope I don't get it back this time!!!

@jemk hahaha exciting times!!! And you have all us on hand to chat to also to help distract you!! Xx

Welcome, @jemk83! Our first too and I'm already impatient for things to happen, like scans! As I'm 36 I'm hoping they'll offer me an early scan. We're due June 27th.

Ilovechocolatetoomuch · 24/10/2017 09:36

I did wake up very hot and sweaty but I think it has got mild so not sure if it's related

user246775435865466 · 24/10/2017 13:27

Update: had bad cramping all late last night but it's eased off this morning. I attended the gp walk in who sent me to the epu for scan, test showed negative. Epu refused scan as too early to see anything but said to come back tomorrow for blood test as they were closing. Epu only open 9-11.
Called gp back who said I can do bloods at the surgery in the morning instead of going back to epu and queuing.

What a wasted morning I feel like I'm just waiting for af to arrive now.
I hope everyone else is doing ok x

meow1989 · 24/10/2017 13:47

Oh @user246775435865466 I’m so sorry you’re having to go through all this Flowers

user246775435865466 · 24/10/2017 14:18

Thank you meow! I wonder how long I'll have to wait for bleeding to start. I've had a mmc before but started bleeding the day af was due but now I'm three days late.

Ilovechocolatetoomuch · 25/10/2017 13:21

User how did u get on this morning?

user246775435865466 · 25/10/2017 13:47

Hi everyone
I started bleeding this morning, it's not heavy but it is bright red blood. I went and got my bloods taken anyway but I'm sure I'm no longer pregnant and it was a mmc. Life sucks sometimes.
Anyhoo... chin up!
Good luck ladies thanks for all your supportSmile

Ilovechocolatetoomuch · 25/10/2017 17:11
