Anyone else? I know I'm an early bird. BFP yesterday and today (AF was due today)

Already a mix of impatient and freaking eat.

Need to stop googling and reading statistics that stress me out. Hoping I feel a bit more chilled when I get to 12 weeks

Also don't know when to tell family, friends, work. DH and I live (temporarily, but temporarily like the next 6 months) in an annex at my parents so we will see them all the time. Sure my Mum will guess something is up. Best friends? manager? work friends?

Thinking I will end up telling my parents quite soon. but DHs parents, and best friends, say 8 weeks? no way I can wait until 12 weeks I dont think which I know is 'traditional'

its all a minefield to me!

Do I ring the Drs now? wait? Will the DRs care yet?

the questions!

Thank you @Fineyeah the hospital I'm at says I can go in everyday for a scan if I want to, they want to keep my stress levels down and are happy to accommodate me, so really happy just knowing that! Xx

lookingforthecorkscrew · 17/10/2017 10:27

June baby here too, due on the 19th - though I’m v 😬 about it all.

Arlington77 · 17/10/2017 12:39

So nice to find you all on here - thanks for kicking this off MegEmski!
Just jumping in here because I'm due in June too, all being well...
Currently 6 weeks. Just so terrified about losing it (this is my first pregnancy after several failed IVF cycles) and in agony of waiting until the first scan in 2 weeks' time... what if there's no heartbeat etc. I've already posted about this on '5 week cramping' thread, sorry to repeat myself.
It's such an amazing feeling (well, apart from the painful boobs, inability to sleep, craving for caffeine/sherry, and twinges of nausea) but I am also incredibly scared at the thought of losing this baby... and like everyone else, I know the stats for miscarrying are high.
anyway, lovely to make the acquaintance of some June-babies-to-be! xxx

Ilovechocolatetoomuch · 17/10/2017 12:42

Arlington I know how u feel. Took us 2 years for this one and just about to start fertility treatment.. Miscarriage is all I think about its horrible. I read that once you get to 6 weeks it is only 10% chance which is really small (I keep telling myself)

meow1989 · 17/10/2017 13:07

I'm on the anxious train too ladies and we we've been blessed that we've fallen on our second cycle. Think I'm now up to about test 10 to check line getting stronger, which thankfully it is. Am officially 4 weeks now but not due on till between tomorrow or Friday (got first bfp super early - Thursday which is at least 6 days before af due) Started to get excited today and think we'll tell parents this weekend when I'm officially late. Feel like I won't believe it until it shows on digi though (and waiting till sat (ie: late) as they're so bloody expensive).

Love to those who have experienced loss and a long journey to get here and fingers crossed for us all for healthy pregnancies x (I know, x's are so unmumsnet!)

Bisset80 · 17/10/2017 19:43

I love we all have each other for support here!!! Let's boost each other up, we can do this!!!

What I can't do tho is this back ache that's hit me like a train!! Has any one else got back ache this early on? I'd it normal?? Xx

alpal1989 · 17/10/2017 20:03

Hi, just wanted to jump on this thread too. Got BFP on Friday (4+3 today) and feeling that nervous worry already that it's not going to last. I already have a 19mth old and had a mc before her. Just want the first 12 weeks to go really quickly!! No symptoms yet, not sure if that is good sign or not...

Weareboatsremember · 17/10/2017 20:05

Hi guys. I got my bfp today, and am due 22nd June. Cautiously excited (had a mmc nearly 3 years ago and it put me off trying again for a very long time). Already have a dd who is 4.
I'm not telling anyone until Christmas!
Congrats on all the other bfps. I hope they all stick, mine included

meow1989 · 17/10/2017 20:08

@Bisset80 I've had an achey lower back this evening (4+1) which massively panicked me because I normally get this before af. After an obsessive google I have come to the conclusion that it is in fact normal 👍🏻

Bisset80 · 17/10/2017 20:35

@meow thank God!! I Googled also but think it's better when you can speak to someone who is in the same boat, makes you feel calmer!!

Congrats on your bfp ladies xxx

Bisset80 · 17/10/2017 20:38

@alpal don't complain about the no symptoms yet!! Enjoy it haha that's what I've done in non intentional brag way saying I had no symptoms and now the past 2 days been hit with the lower back pain!! I'm 6+3 in a way it feels good because it makes it feel real, but now I'm like I should have kept my mouth shut haha xx

thinpigeon · 17/10/2017 20:58

I'm 5+4 and also have the back pain. Nausea faded slightly today so was feeling a bit better than the last week but then the back pain kicked in. Not sure which I prefer to be honest....

1234meg · 17/10/2017 21:59

Congrats on your pregnacy MegEmski. I'm going through a kinda similar situation and was wondering if anyone could shed some light - I had a early miscarriage late august and my period after that lasted from 11th sept - 22nd sept so I wasn't quite sure when my next period after that one would be due however I havent come on since then and have been feeling slightly tired, gassy and have been having some mood swings (not sure if these are actually symptoms) so any way I've taken 3 pregnancy test over the past 24 hours and all 3 have come up with a really faint line so I assume this is a positive but I'm not sure why it would be so faint? I also don't feel overly pregnant apart from them slight "symptoms" I put above.
From my calculations using a baby calculator thingyy due date would be 25th June 2018!

MrsWWright · 17/10/2017 22:39

Hi ladies.
I've just found out I'm pregnant. Due 23rd June 18.
Hope you are all keeping well.
I've been lucky enough to have a child (quite some time ago) he's 13 now.
I just got married 3 weeks ago and found out we were expecting on the way home from honeymoon. 😂Grin
Looking forward to getting to know you ladies xx

alpal1989 · 18/10/2017 07:05

@bisset80 will keep quiet and just enjoy it! Although paranoia did get the better of me and did another test last night just to double check! Yep, still bfp Smile. Good luck everyone on this journey!

MrsWWright · 18/10/2017 07:24

What does bfp mean? Lol x

Bisset80 · 18/10/2017 07:39

@Mrs it means big fat positive Smile

Arlington77 · 18/10/2017 09:31

so lovely to hear from you girls going through the super-early nervous time too - hello @ilovechocolate and @bisset and @meow and @mrs and @alpal and everyone.
I'm starting to think already that I'm boring my husband to death with all this pregnancy talk so I am going to make a resolution not to overdo it, and instead we can all bore each other to death on here??! please feel free to bore me...
I can't believe you're all brave enough to have done repeated pregnancy tests - I waited until 17 days after embryo transfer to test, because I was so terrified - I could have tested from 12/13 days - and even then my fella had to frog-march me to the bathroom and basically make me do it. I was putting it off because of the disappointment.
still wracked with fear about the 30th October scan!
lovely to make your acquaintances. does anyone else at 6 weeks only have mild nausea? I'm not complaining - I know it gets a lot worse than this - just wondering.
much love and healthy-baby-development-dust xx

Flyingfruit · 18/10/2017 09:54

Can I join you ladies? I’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow. Got my BFP on Sunday. Due around 21st June 2018

alpal1989 · 18/10/2017 12:48

I had forgotten how all consuming the overthinking was! Trying to concentrate at work and really all I am thinking about is new baby! Trying not to get too excited - the first 12 weeks are so hard as def won't tell work until 12 week scan!

Bisset80 · 18/10/2017 13:14

@alpal haha same here spent a fortune on tests, got appointment with mw 3rd November, she wants to push for me to have the stitch in!! Arghhhhhhhhhhhh so yo take my mind off it just spent 30 on newlook on line have a fab sale on ladies on maternity wear Wink I'm trying not to get over to excited but can't help it!! Made my dh watch 3 episodes of obem!!! Well he's got to get used to it hahaha xx

Bisset80 · 18/10/2017 13:15

@arlington nope I have no nausea 6+4 counting my lucky stars haha xx

Arlington77 · 18/10/2017 13:35

@Bisset80 ok that's reassuring to know you don't have nausea yet :-) and you're making me chuckle about New Look online (I may head over and take a peek myself...)
I think we're almost the same stage: I'm 6 weeks and 3 days (exactly, because it was IVF) xx

Finefineanddandy · 18/10/2017 14:08

How is everyone? The nausea has started now I'm six weeks but still much much less than my last baby - I guess each pregnancy really is different. I understand trying not to think about it too much until the 12 week scan, but I've decided that it would be awful if anything happens either way so I'm just going to try and enjoy it and let my mind have a little wonder into thinking about names!

MrsWWright · 18/10/2017 14:45

@Bisset80 thank you. I'll get the hang of this!! Grin
