Lion queen love the picture! Congratulations Smile

I’m due at the beginning of November, I’ve posted a little on the other threads but tend to lurk more.

I’m booked though to have baby next week, but I don’t feel read6 at all! So much to do still.

TheLionQueen1 · 21/10/2017 08:54

@THirdEeye I thought I was totally ready, bought everything and really impatient to meet him but then when they said about inducing me and it suddenly became real then I started panicking I totally wasn't ready! I'm not sure you ever feel ready!

Do you know what you're having?

lydiangel83 · 21/10/2017 09:12

Aahhh @TheLionQueen1 sooo adorable! I love the duck towel, too cute!

Thanks @lydiangel83 , I've only bought funny little towels, got a lush hungry caterpillar one as well! He's going to hate me when he's an adult and I've saved all these pictures!!

lydiangel83 · 21/10/2017 14:00

@TheLionQueen1 so adorable! Good to know re bathing as I wasn’t sure how that all worked! I’ve bought a lot of cute bear hoods towels/ sleepsuits and cardis as they are gender neutral so I can’t wait to dress ours up in them!!

OMG @TheLionQueen1 he is adorable.

Missonhartbaby · 21/10/2017 20:22

Baby Max born today at 13.25 :) pretty traumatic experience... 5 hours of active pushing but no such luck ended up being rushed to theatre for forceps and episiotomy. He was back to back and had swelling on his head so got stuck!!! Still totally worth it though 😍😍😍

mrsjkerry · 21/10/2017 21:11

@Missonhartbaby what a cutie!! All these babies dropping makes me want mine nowwwww. How many weeks were you again?

meltingmarshmallows · 21/10/2017 21:37

Aw beautiful babies! How exciting! Only just found this thread again ... I’m 36w now and counting down the weeks.

ew1990 · 21/10/2017 21:41

@Missonhartbaby congratulations! I had about ten minutes of period pains before, thought it was starting, but they've gone now

Missonhartbaby · 22/10/2017 06:51

Thanks ladies!
@TheLionQueen1 thank you, we went for Arthur as a middle name aswell so now his initials are mad!!! Haha. Seemed fitting considering the drama of yesterday!
@mrsjkerry thanks :) I was 40 +4 had a sweep at 4 pm at 4+2 and labour started the next evening!

Missonhartbaby · 22/10/2017 06:53

@ew1990 mine definitely felt like period pains, the pain was all really low down and constant with then waves when it was a lot worse, once they got about every 5 mins I went to hospital. Initially she said I was still only 2cm but then checked again after 2 hours and I was 7! So glad I chose not to go home. I do think you just know when it's happening!

lydiangel83 · 22/10/2017 07:01

@Missonhartbaby ahhh huge congratulations he is perfect! Just beautiful! Max is one of our options and Arthur is sweet too. Good description of contractions thank you hard to know what to look out for! Labour sounds less than ideal but so pleased he arrived safely and hope you are on the mend soon xx

Been packing the hospital bag this weekend and would love to know if there’s anything you girls who’ve had their babies found essential or wished to god you’d had?? Advice please 😊

TheLionQueen1 · 22/10/2017 08:25

I went through about 4 bottles of lucozade sport because needed energy but couldn't cope with food and also used a lot of lip balm because dry mouth, particularly with gas and air @mrsjkerry !

Missonhartbaby · 23/10/2017 11:24

@lydiangel83 thank you :) we're both doing great, get to come home today! The main thing I've taken away from it is that it will probably not go to plan! And the things you thought you might like you won't or won't work for you... e.g. I couldn't push enough in the pool so had to come out even though I really wanted a water birth but it just wasn't working for me!
@mrsjkerry lipbalm is a must! And a hairband. Loads of drinks and snacks for afterwards. I had a twirl and a cuppa after my labour and it was the best thing ever! Also I think nice toiletries and something nicer to wear after is important because it just makes you feel much better!!

Missonhartbaby · 23/10/2017 11:30

Also lanisoh nipple cream has been a godsend for me, if your breastfeeding and it works they'll be on constantly and they will get sore! If you have an easy labour though you'll be out before you need it but I've been in for two days and it's been amazing for me!

lydiangel83 · 25/10/2017 09:29
