It was ok thanks @ew1990

We got a referral to the dietician to help with weaning and also a speech and language therapist because I mentioned her tongue gets in the way when she's feeding ... one thing after another 🙄😄

ew1990 · 08/04/2018 23:19

Hope it all goes well, when are you starting weaning? DD is 5 and a bit months now, she's still awake 😳 I don't know how I'm going to cope with 12 hour shifts where I have to leave the house at 6:30

mrsjkerry · 09/04/2018 11:38

Haha oh god when did she go down @ew? Our baby goes down around 7/8 now. She usually needs feeding 10/11 and still wakes a lot in the night maybe around 1,3&5. Ex.haus.ted. Is an understatement!

Oh my god that shouldn't have posted so many times; it kept saying unsuccessful!

ew1990 · 09/04/2018 13:30

She finally went around 12ish, she goes to sleep at around 9 but will only have a 30 min nap and then no matter what I do she won't go back to sleep and then wants another bottle around 11:30 - I'm just hoping eventually she starts to go earlier

WasThatPlaceTHESUN · 09/04/2018 14:24

These babies really are trying to make us as tired as possible aren't they! DD goes down really well at between 7 and 7.30pm, then wakes for a feed at 11/12ish but is then up every 2 hours without fail until morning. I know it could be worse but my god I'm exhausted 😴

lydiangel83 · 09/04/2018 15:06

@mrsjkerry I feel your pain? How did you get a dietician referral, via GP?

OP posts:
mrsjkerry · 10/04/2018 18:29

@lydiangel83 I kept going into the GP insisting there was an allergy of some kind. Eventually they referred me to a paediatrician at our hospital and it was him that sorted out the referral to a dietician.

lydiangel83 · 11/04/2018 07:20

@mrsjkerry what made you think there was an allergy? More sleepless nights here, DH says let's try just letting her cry but I can't :(

It started with constipation on regular formula. So we moved to comfort formula and her poo was explosive. Then the reflux came. So we were given medication for that. Then the eczema cane. Again, given cream for that. But she never seemed comfortable in sleep. Was always crying in her sleep and would wake up crying. Then she started rubbing all over her face like she was itchy rather than tired...

What's your LO's sleep like usually? Ours still isn't great. Last night she went down easily at 7, was awake before 11 needing milk. Then was sort of half awake half asleep all night kicking and moving around. In the end I got her in bed with us at 1, she slept until 5...then was awake for an hour, and just woke up for the day now (8). It sucks!!!

mrsjkerry · 25/04/2018 14:54

How is everyone doing ??

ew1990 · 25/04/2018 15:14

We are good - DD is 6 months old a week today!! Started weaning a couple of days ago, I wanted to do baby led but I'm too scared so doing purees - how are you?

TheLionQueen1 · 26/04/2018 11:47

We're doing well! Back to work next week for me, I can't believe it's gone so quickly! DS still lactose intolerant so weaning is fun Confused How are you?

lydiangel83 · 26/04/2018 21:32

@TheLionQueen1 we have been told L may have CMPA and she was calmer when I was off dairy but then still slept badly! Consultant said our trial was inconclusive but deep down I just don't think dairy is the issue. Two weeks back on dairy and she did become more fractious for a day or two, although now I have kept a food diary it was days I had a decaf coffee. Of course this could be pure circumstance! I love the idea of baby led weaning but panic when she gags and want to get more calories in her on the off chance she sleeps better at night! (She is big enough already so not worried about growth). Second night in her own cot tonight - I end up getting up loads tho so not much fun really!

@lydiangel83 my husband wants to put Baby in her own room but I don't want to!!! 1) i would miss her
2) if you had to wake up you'd have to walk further!!! 😄

TheLionQueen1 · 27/04/2018 15:19

I've had DS out for about a month because I had a cold and didn't want to cough in his face all night it's great he sleeps so much better and so do it, but I do miss him! He goes down at 6.30pm, wakes for a feed around 4am then back to bed until 7.30ish! How did your little one get on last night @lydiangel83 ? Hope you get everything sorted with food

lydiangel83 · 28/04/2018 18:15

OMG @TheLionQueen1 that is amazing sleep I am so jealous!

How's everyone doing? @MSH2010 how are you and the twins?

TheLionQueen1 · 30/05/2018 12:05

All good here, back to work and little man is 8 months next week, can't believe it! All sorts of allergies though Confused

How are you getting on @ew1990?

ew1990 · 30/05/2018 21:09

Oh god hope it's going well though - are you mamasinpyjamas on instagram @lydiangel83 I love seeing your posts! Your life looks so excitiing with all the food 😂😂

All good here DD has finally learnt to sit up - she's 7 month on Sunday and eats absolutely anything you put in front of her!

lydiangel83 · 19/07/2018 23:00

@ew1990 yes that's me :) I love food lol! L is still not crawling at nearly 9 months but so alert and interactive so I guess they all do things in their own time!

@TheLionQueen1 what allergies do u guys have? I've been dairy free since easter and weaning Liliana dairy free and she is so much calmer than she used to be.
