Thanks for your replies. I've been given lactulose and got a lot of wind but still haven't managed. Today is day 3, I'm not that regular anyway I just want to get it over with cos it'll only get easier from there.

How is your healing going? I can't wait for the pain to ease.

ew1990 · 16/11/2017 19:56

I don't think I went for 4 days. Now it's just normal and no pain at all.

lydiangel83 · 17/11/2017 08:53

@Squigglefish my worst pain was / is coccyx pain from forceps / labour. Couldn’t even roll over in bed to start with was so painful. Easing off now but still can’t sit in a hard chair :-/ hardly felt stitches so that’s one grace at least altho now worried about my back as doesn’t feel right and already have issues that I don’t want to get worse

Squigglefish · 17/11/2017 13:29

Oh gosh my back has been off too😐 sometimes my coccyx is crunching and my pelvis too.

@ew1990 that's reassuring, the first will be the worst. Just wish it would happen.

It's emotional, the first timers are all graduating ❤

NC1990 · 20/11/2017 05:03

I feel ready to crack. Haven't slept at all so far tonight, Layla just will not go down. Multiple feeds, but fussing everytime she comes off. Think she may have caught a cold too as she's snorting and sneezing constantly.

I could just cry I'm so exhausted.

FirsttimemumJan18 · 20/11/2017 05:30

Ok to pop up here?

I’m Getting induced at 39 Weeks (5 Jan) cause I’m an older first time mum and they don’t want me to go full term...original EDD 12 Jan.

Have had a good first pregnancy, kept busy, Active, embracing everything pregnancy has thrown at me....until now!... but need to be honest & finding it much harder now @ almost 33 Weeks.

My big hips ache sooo bad at night that I’m awake regularly anytime from 2am-6am. I have a sharp pain on the right side of my tummy, a GP said I had SPD but the consultant said I didn’t & since Friday horrendous Sciatica has suddenly kicked in down my right side to the point it’s effecting my walking. 😩

I’m also becoming quite tearful too 😢 I need to get a grip!! My DP and I have wanted this little one for so long and we are having a little girl after an emotional IVF journey. I’m excited to meet her of course, just finding the whole thing a bit much at the mo.

I’m off teaching in Manchester for two days so should help to take my mind off things. Sorry to sound down. I feel extremely lucky to be having this little girl but just don’t seem to be coping at the mo...quite embarrassing really!!!

ScotsLamb · 20/11/2017 06:40

Hi @FirsttimemumJan18 hope you are well apart from the aches and pains. They are also getting me down. I’m surprised how much they are affecting me and I feel a bit of a woose as I only feel like I have a bigger tummy.
There is a first tie pregnancy thread called “First Time Pregnancy (5)” where all us preggos are spending our time moaning. You should pop on there too.

lydiangel83 · 20/11/2017 07:35

@NC1990 hand hold I feel your pain just without the cold. Will not sleep or stop grizzling. Getting unhelpful advice from my DM who thinks babies only cry if they are hungry does not help

Thanks lydiangel83, everything seems so much worse in the cold dead of night! DH took her through to our spare bedroom at 6am and fortunately she fell asleep after a bit of fussing. Still feel like a zombie but that's just the newborn life isn't it 🙈

THirdEeye · 20/11/2017 10:03

NC

I feel exhausted as well!

Although I’m mixed feeding, baby third still cluster feeds late afternoon and the early hours. Also, if l hear crying (when DH is up with baby), I still wake up and then can’t get back to sleep!

Does anyone else’s baby, grunt/groan etc whilst sleeping? It’s not all the time, but seems to be more so at night.

Does anyone have any suggestions....dummy?

Squigglefish · 20/11/2017 11:51

@THirdEeye our baby grunts and groans too and sometimes breathes very fast, the midwife said she is dreaming. I can't help but lay awake listening.

redfragglebiker · 20/11/2017 12:10

Newbie to this thread too. Ftm due on Thursday with a baby girl and very much fed up of pregnancy now. Feels like I've been pregnant Forever with no end in sight!

ew1990 · 20/11/2017 12:18

@Squigglefish I know what you mean about the breathing fast, it scared me at first, izzy makes so much noise I think she's awake but she's flat out

lydiangel83 · 20/11/2017 17:48

@GingerHanna can’t remember if you’re on here already but tagging for support from other first time mums xx

Anyone else finding baby sleeping less and crying more? Liliana is 3 wks tomorrow and it’s a nightmare! Plus my mum has made me paranoid I’m not feeding enough plus I’m on second week of antibiotics for UTI this time (mastitis last week) so am worried about impact on milk supply

Squigglefish · 21/11/2017 22:15

Silly question but, tomorrow we are going out with our baby for the first time to visit my father in law. I am bottle feeding, how do I pack sterilised bottles in our bag? 🙈

ew1990 · 21/11/2017 23:10

@Squigglefish I just put them in? With the lids on so nothing can touch the teat/inside the bottle x

FirsttimemumJan18 · 22/11/2017 03:26

Thank you...I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels like this! Will check out the thread 👌

Squigglefish · 22/11/2017 18:13

That's what I'm just going to do, I had read somethibg crazy about putting it in a sterilised box! Its easy to be over cautious but that's silly. Going tomorrow now in stead Smile x
