@lydiangel83 you can buy a machine that does it for you...I think it’s called epi-no and I will be investigating...

As for doing the massage myself, @Jessiecat27 @Missonhartbaby your partner is supposed to do it for you!! There’s no way I could reach down there 😄

@MistyBxx welcome back!! Missed you! I went to Tenerife and Vegas while pregnant. It’s fine. Take dips in the pool and sit more in the shade. Also, there plenty of pregnant people living and working in hot countries you’ll be fine.

@MistyBxx thanks for asking. 21 weeks - wow, that's flying by! I'm up and down. Really miss my little bean, but yesterday was the first day in nearly six weeks where I didn't cry. Going to the GP tonight to follow up and talk about counselling if needed. What I found hard about my MMC was that baby was on track with heartbeat and growth at 8 weeks, yet a week later he (I'm convinced it was a boy) died, although I didn't find out until the 12 week scan.
We are TTC again but I'm terrified. Terrified it'll take ages to conceive (my body has been doing some weird things) and terrified that if I do get pregnant again, I'll have another MC. It's scary.

lydiangel83 · 03/10/2017 07:44

@mrsjkerry machine sounds terrifying!

@Flatwhite31 thinking of you and counselling sounds like a positive step x

MistyBxx · 03/10/2017 10:23

Ohh @Flatwhite31 I completely understand your fears chick, your mind will be going into overdrive. It is hard coz as you said, you saw a heartbeat and everything appeared so you had no reason to think otherwise and to find out so suddenly must have been a massive shock. With me, my symptoms stopped overnight almost, I KNEW something wasn't right and when they said at 7 weeks that I only looked 4 or 5, it was confirmed. There was no baby left to see, just an empty sac, it had been reabsorbed if it had even grown at all. But to actually see a normal baby at 8 weeks and then know it died a week later must be awful. I bet you look back and torture yourself like wondering what happened. I defo agree counselling is worth a shot! Just keep talking about it, it is the best thing to do. And I know it's terrifying the thought of it happening again but the way I see it is you've had your bad luck now, you've had your "statistic" the next time will he different. And it's not easy for me to say that coz I felt the exact same but it happened for me, and it will happen for you I'm sure. Defo look after yourself and take all the time you need lovely xx

Bobbiepin · 03/10/2017 17:57

@flatwhite I'm pleased to hear you've had an easier day, hopefully many more to come. Counselling sounds like a great idea, at least something to help you whilst your TTC again. Praying it works for you this time.

ew1990 · 03/10/2017 18:04

@Flatwhite31 I hope your gp visit went well Flowers

Flatwhite31 · 03/10/2017 18:48

Thank you so much @MistyBxx, @ew1990 and @Bobbiepin. The GP was wonderful. She was so supportive, said all the right things and was an excellent listener. Unfortunately there is nothing on offer in my area, and both charities I have contacted have nothing in my area either, but I have referred myself to Talking Therapies to try and deal with the anxieties I've developed since the MMC. It is shocking that there is nothing available that's specific to pregnancy loss though!

Bobbiepin · 03/10/2017 20:18

You're right that is shocking. Did you speak to bliss? Could they help at all?

mrsjkerry · 04/10/2017 16:43

Anyone else absolutely shattered?

@mrsjkerry I am, I had midwife today I was meant to ask her to test my blood for iron levels but forgot Confused I've got 3 12 hour shifts in a row next week and a study day at work I don't know how I'm gunna go on!

TheLionQueen1 · 04/10/2017 17:04

I am @mrsjkerry but that's because I've had a horrendous two days!

We were taken in to hospital for monitoring after reduced movement at MW yesterday, whilst there they discovered we had preeclampsia. I released myself late last night as they wanted to induce but with 10 women ahead of us I decided to come home and get sleep. Have gone back today and they are so busy they have closed the unit so have now been booked in for induction tomorrow morning.

I'm pooping myself now it's actually here and happening, have had a stretch and sweep so hoping it happens naturally before pessary tomorrow morning.

All a high shock when we wanted a MW led waterbirth and now we are consultant led and induction Sad

Still it means I'll meet my little boy by Sunday at the latest!

mrsjkerry · 04/10/2017 17:06

Wow @TheLionQueen1 how exciting!!!! You’ll have to send us a picture!!

Good luck 😬

OP posts:
ew1990 · 04/10/2017 17:07

@TheLionQueen1 oh my god! I hope your ok? Hopefully things start off for you naturally before the morning,

TheLionQueen1 · 04/10/2017 17:10

I will do! I wasn't ok last night, I was so shocked and we'd been on an assessment unit from 5pm-1am with no food and I'd barely slept, had just about prepared myself for it today then sent home again! At least it gives me some time to get over the shock and triple check I have everything but still it's scary!

lydiangel83 · 04/10/2017 17:28

@TheLionQueen1 I bet you were shocked wow! Sounds like an unpleasant experience but hopefully things will get better from here. Good luck with everything and keep us posted!

Bobbiepin · 04/10/2017 17:37

@Thelionqueen1 that's so scary and exciting! Baby will be here soon! Hope things kick off naturally for you.

Missonhartbaby · 04/10/2017 17:49

@TheLionQueen1 that's so exciting! Hopefully the stretch and sweep will be enough, can you feel anything happening yet? Did you have any signs of pre eclampsia at all? I'm feeling awful at the moment, headache, cramping, aching everywhere and I'm exhausted! Good luck with everything! Meeting him by Sunday is so exciting... I'm kinda jealous!

TheLionQueen1 · 04/10/2017 18:02

@Missonhartbaby no none I feel like there is a lot of pressure and period pains but had had that for almost a week and when they checked my cervix last night it wasn't ripe, baby in perfect position though. They also said they think he's 7 1/2lb which I can just about cope with pushing out, I told her not to tell me if he was over 9lb

My blood pressure went up last week but only slightly and no protein in wee! Worryingly I had a protein check at 3pm at MW yesterday and that was negative but my samples when I got to hospital were positive so don't think the surgeries have the best tests . Am only borderline so hope all is ok, not sure whether they would induce or just be monitoring me if I wasn't so late on in pregnancy anyway.

How many weeks has everyone else got left? @Bobbiepin you must be pretty close aren't you?

TheLionQueen1 · 04/10/2017 18:03

There were smiley faces in that when I did it! Obviously I wasn't really worried about the 9lb was only joking wth her!

mrsjkerry · 04/10/2017 18:12

@TheLionQueen1 how many weeks are you now?

I’m 35 xx

OP posts:
Missonhartbaby · 04/10/2017 18:33

@TheLionQueen1 your right that is slightly worrying! I haven't been feeling great at all atm so bit worried about my midwife appt tomorrow, just hope everything's fine and she tells me baby is gonna be on his way soon!! I'm 38+1... Hoping to go into labour next week after I've had my parent craft day but so I'm not this uncomfortable for too much longer. ..one can wish! Haha. 7 1/2lb is a pretty good weight! I got told if I go to full term my little man is like to be about 8 1/2lb so hoping I don't go over!!!

TheLionQueen1 · 04/10/2017 18:34

39+2 so hopefully pretty good to go!

Not long left then @mrsjkerry ! When did you say you were finishing work, you waiting until half term?

TheLionQueen1 · 04/10/2017 18:36

Ah fingers crossed for you @Missonhartbaby ! Can't believe we are all at the stage already, I remember writing on that first thread literally just finding out, it's mad we are here already!!

ew1990 · 04/10/2017 18:36

I'm 34+4 and it's dragging now, midwife next booked me in for an appointment when I'm 38+4 as I've got a scan in between now and then so she said I will see a midwife then, she told me I might have had baby by my next appointment with her!

Missonhartbaby · 04/10/2017 19:01

I know not long to go for everyone! It's gone so fast in some ways and so slow in others!
@ew1990 my midwife appt have always been pretty far apart aswell! Think it must be a good thing! I was always told you have to see them every two weeks and every week near the end but it's probs averaged at once a month! Ha
Anybody else having extreme thirst at the moment? I am literally so thirsty and my lips are super dry... Do you reckon it's the change in the weather?
