@WasThatPlaceTHESUN I'm not sure my baby has anything to regress from! She has always been, and continues to be, a terrible sleeper!! I'd hate my husband to be away I'm not sure I could cope at all...
It will 100% pass and your husband will be back to tare over 😄

@wasthatplace are you me? We are well into the 4 month sleep regression, DH has been away with work all week (coming home tonight) and the night before last I was trying my best to hold back tears as DD woke up half an hour after I finally managed to get her down at 4am.

Huge empathy your way. How do we solve this sleep regression thing?

TheLionQueen1 · 09/03/2018 22:13

@mrsjkerry he's on nutramigen which he's prescribed, it's been brilliant, unfortunately his eczema is still bad though he has already been through 2 sessions of steroid cream and I can't use anything on his skin other then specialised stuff. Before he would scrunch up in pain, be hungry but with the first gulp start crying and didn't poo much, also the smell of his farts was outrageous, it was the health visitor who smelt it and suggested we go to the dr and see about the intolerance, fortunately she agreed and put him straight on it, within days he was a different baby!

Flatwhite32 · 10/03/2018 14:55

Aww thank you @Bobbiepin! I'm doing ok thank you. Am very nearly 21 weeks. 20 week scan was normal (thank god) and we are expecting a little girl. Still nervous, but taking each day as it comes.

@Bobbiepin it sucks doesn't it! I can't tell you how many times I've googled 'how long does the sleep regression last' Blush (and ignored every answer that says it might last for months...).

DH recently went to pick up our new car 600 miles away and drove it back home, I was sooo jealous of the peace he must have had 🙈

Bobbiepin · 10/03/2018 21:17

It's how it makes me question everything I do over the night that's worse than the sleep deprivation. I'm feeding her when she wakes up because 8/10 she'll go for at least 15 mins which makes me believe she is actually hungry rather than comfort feeding but I'm concerned I'm introducing a bad sleep association & wondering whether we should start sleep training. I just don't know and it really makes me question my supposed "instinct" Sad

@flatwhite31 That's great news, you're doing so well. I'll be thinking of you especially on mother's day tomorrow.

MistyBxx · 19/03/2018 22:51

Hi girlies @Flatwhite32 amazing news about the scan!! This next 20 weeks will fly! I thought it would drag but it really didn't!! You'll have loads more appts after 26w and time will just go and I promise you will start to feel more relaxed!

My poo situation got worst before it got better 😩 people will ask in years to come how I spent my first Mother's Day and I will NOT be telling them that I spent 2 hours on the toilet in my parents house picking actual poo out of my butt while my family looked after my baby downstairs. It was hell, I'm not even kidding. I almost phoned 999 coz I felt like I was going to explode and yet my butt (much like my dickhead cervix!) didn't want to open!! I had suppositories off the midwife the next day and things have been getting easier since I'm glad to say!

Sienna has got wind 😖 she cries and doesn't settle all night, pulling her legs up and squealing, it's pitiful. She also struggles to burp (or I struggle to burp her I should say) so she's on infacol and today the health visitor told me I could be causing it by the amount of chocolate I eat on a daily basis (it's actually loads, I craved chocolate in my pregnancy and it hasn't stopped since the birth but now I'm going cold turkey to see if it makes a difference. She just can't sleep, we are awake from 9/10pm til 4/5am! Crying, feeding, trying to burp with varying results, changing and repeat for hours and hours. It's exhausting and soul destroying!
Any tips for windy and unsettled babies??

ew1990 · 19/03/2018 23:32

Have you tried the tiger in a tree hold? Google it lol, or putting her front down over your knees so her head is kind of hanging over but support her head and rub her back? Izzy had it terrible and we used dentinox- luckily not at 4.5 months she doesn't suffer anymore

ew1990 · 09/04/2018 21:40

@Flatwhite32 how are you? Can't be long left now?

Flatwhite32 · 10/04/2018 07:32

Hi @ew1990! Currently 25 weeks and feeling baby girl kicking away in there! Thank you so much for asking. How are you all doing? Has your little girl's sleep improved at all @MistyBxx? X

MistyBxx · 07/05/2018 14:53

Hi girlies, hope you're all ok. Sienna is almost 10 weeks now and we are almost getting the hang of life 😂 man it's hard work. Exhausting, emotional, stressful but amazing, extraordinary and no feeling like it 😍 literally nobody can prepare you for it!
I'm exclusively breastfeeding which is lovely but sooooo hard, it's really demanding. I've never slept longer than 4 hours a night in 10 weeks! Most the time it's 2-3 hours max. And I'm tying to get her on a bottle just once a day but she's having none of it 🙈 she loves the boob too much lol. It's ok for now but I'd love to just get drunk one night after almost a year and I can't 😩 also a bit worried about going back to work. Only got 3 months left.
@Flatwhite32 how are you getting on chicky? @ew1990 @mrsjkerry how are your babes??
Here's my beautiful girl, growing every day 💗

MistyBxx · 07/05/2018 14:54

Aww misty shes beautiful- Izzy is 6 month old now! She's learnt how to roll over and say mama! It's the cutest thing ever - izzy is bottle fed and she went through a stage off not drinking from her normal bottles it was a nightmare so I tried her with a poundshop one and she drank the lot 🙄 xx

Flatwhite32 · 07/05/2018 16:30

Aww @MistyBxx she is gorgeous!

@ew1990 I can't believe your DD is 6 months old already! That has flown by.

I'm good thank you. 29 weeks today! Feel like I'm getting bigger by the day! Have gained a stone and a half! Shock

ew1990 · 07/05/2018 17:44

@Flatwhite32 I know! It goes too fast - not long left for you now, I'm back in work in 8 weeks 😢. Weanings going good she likes her food!

MistyBxx · 08/05/2018 09:07

Ohhh @ew1990 she is lush 😍 I've tried Poundland bottles with Sienna but no good 😖 stressing me out. Can't believe she's 6 months, time really does fly. Can't believe how much Sienna has changed in 10 weeks, I wish I could remember the first 3 weeks but it was such a blur, I was in shock, trauma after the birth, zero sleep, I've blocked it all out lol.
Aww @Flatwhite32 29 weeks!! Amazing!! Not long at all now!! Xx

mrsjkerry · 08/05/2018 09:14

@MistyBxx it is such hard work. I've spent so many days wishing I were back in work but now that I've got 6 weeks left I am so anxious about going back, i don't want to!!

RE the bottle, my friend had same problem and tried the latex teats & little bottles they give you in the hospital. Worth a try?

Haha @ew1990 Izzy is so cute. My little lady still licks the spoon. Hasn't quite got the hang! Here she is enjoying baby sensory 💕

@mrsjkerry look at her hair 😍 izzy is a right little baldie 😂

MistyBxx · 06/07/2018 22:01

Hi girlies! Hope you're all well. Sienna is happy and thriving with me 😍 still breastfeeding which I adore and she's still really not liking a bottle which is a pain 😖 but generally we are loving life 💕 literally never been so happy. Enjoying the amazing weather and spending as much time together doing lovely things as we can before I go back to work.
I'm never on mumsnet at all any more but I don't feel like I can let go of this thread until @Flatwhite32 gets to the end of her journey... and begins her new one! 37 weeks now???
Here's my darling girl at 4 months 💕

Flatwhite32 · 06/07/2018 22:11

@MistyBxx she's beautiful! What a happy face! I'm 37+4, and had my last day at work today! What a journey since my MMC last year. Just want her here safe and sound! When are you back at work?

TheLionQueen1 · 06/07/2018 23:13

She's beautiful @MistyBxx my little one is now 9 months old, I still can't believe it. Have been back at work for 3 months, time is flying by. Enjoy the rest of your maternity and @Flatwhite32 enjoy the rest of your pregnancy! Hope you aren't suffering too much in this heat x

ew1990 · 06/07/2018 23:15

Ahh misty she's gorgeous! DD is 8 months now - I'm back to work on Monday - was due back 2 weeks ago but took annual leave

@TheLionQueen1 how did you find going back to work? I'm dreading it,

I always wonder how @MSH2010 and the twins are doing

Flat not long for you now!

MistyBxx · 07/07/2018 00:33

Thanks girls, she's lush. That face melts me every day 😍 she's got a tooth!! At 4 months 🙈 trying to teach her not to use it when feeding lol 😂
So glad everyone is doing well. I can stay off til Feb next year but my mat pay ends on 16th this month and will only have smp then which is impossible to live on... so may have to go back very soon 😩😩😩
@Flatwhite32 I hope the next few weeks go peacefully and smoothly. We both had a horrible experience with the mmc but look at us now with our rainbows 🌈 wishing you a calm, beautiful and straightforward birth... but it rarely happens that way lol so wishing you strength and determination to get through it 😂
