@Utter congratulations on your little girl. Have been thinking of you this week 💗

Hazandduck · 08/12/2017 10:40

@Amyb Matilda had her tongue tie cut on Monday and I love feeding her now. Really hope this happens for you and Eliza. I’m still expressing a bit so DH can still feed her a couple of feeds, but she actually struggles more now to feed on a bottle since having her tongue cut. X

AmyB1986 · 08/12/2017 15:17

@Hazandduck it's sorted Eliza's feeding issues too instantly. I had her weighed yesterday and she's gained 1lb 6oz in 13 days which is tremendous! Feeding is a pleasure, she's satisfied and sleeping soundly. Reflux has resolved, we've had no vomiting since Tuesday, she's not gassy and troubled by wind anymore. The trauma of the procedure itself is well worth it for a happier baby in the long run. Eliza doesn't get how to work feeding from a bottle, she could before but would choke to the point it scared me even though she was on a super slow paced teat! She's not had a bottle since Sunday evening, expressing and freezing my milk still though. I'm so engorged now she is feeding properly, they seem to be filling up really fast as she's draining them completely each feed!

@AnUtterIdiot congratulations on your little girl, I'm glad you have a positive birth given the circumstances. I'm sure your son will be watching over you all.

Brenna24 · 09/12/2017 14:55

Just catching up. I have been AWOL as things have been manic and quite hard in my family and I have not had a moment to myself. All seems well with baby though. I will be 31 weeks on monday and he or she is a right little wriggler. Last weekend we went to see my niece and meet my new great niece. I have a lovely picture of her sleeping on my bump (while my little horror tried to kick her off in jealousy Grin ).

I am so sorry about your little boy Utter, but I am really glad that he went peacefully in a safe place and not after birth and lots of poking around. Somehow that does seem kinder. Congratulations on your wee girl though. I hope you are really enjoying the time with her and get to say goodbye to the other wee one as you have planned.

I hope all is well Mama

Welcome to all the new people.

Just having a quick nosey through.

@AnUtterIdiot Congratulations on your baby girl. After everything it must be such a relief

Eastend2015 · 10/12/2017 15:22

Hi all- no good news for me unfortunately. Hormone levels have only increased from 918 to 1020 in 48 hours so looks like the pregnancy is failing. I have to go in for yet another scan tomorrow before the hospital will discuss options as apparently they still can’t rule out an ectopic given my history. I’m absolutely gutted of course but even more annoyed with all the back and forth with the hospital, which’ll be even more difficult tomorrow given the snow.

mogulfield · 10/12/2017 15:27

east sorry to hear that, at least you’re finally getting some answers. I hope you can get to the hospital, we’re totally snowed in here (about 10 inches of snow on our drive!), so glad I’m not near my due date yet.

brenna I hope family stuff isn’t too stressful, we’re getting there now 😃

Any news mamma? Hope all is well

LisaSimpsonsbff · 10/12/2017 15:38

I'm so sorry, east - that's exactly how my last one ended, a shit and inconclusive scan at 6.5 weeks with impending miscarriage confirmed with betas. It's horrible and I'm so sorry you have to go through loss again. Lots of Flowers and thinking of you

Lifeofpies · 10/12/2017 18:06

So sorry to hear this news, East. It’s horrible unfair and so stressful when there is uncertainty. I hope you get answers soon, and if it is definitely bad news then they let you take whatever option works best for you. We’re all here if you want to chat. Hope your DH is being understanding Xx

notparticularlypatient · 10/12/2017 18:42

So sorry, east. It all seems so unfair. Hope you get some conclusive answers at the hospital tomorrow. Thinking of you.

MsJuniper · 10/12/2017 19:19

So sorry, @Eastend2015. It's so unfair and even worse to have to keep waiting before it's confirmed and you can do something about it. Hope there are no complications and you can get some answers. Thanks

brogueish · 10/12/2017 19:30

So sorry, east. The back and forthing in limbo is just awful. My thoughts are with you - be kind to yourself Flowers

Eastend2015 · 10/12/2017 19:39

Thanks all, have started bleeding which is a relief in some ways. At least my body is not totally out of sync! No pain or cramping though. Hopefully this’ll pass quickly and naturally. So sorry for bringing the thread down!

Lifeofpies · 10/12/2017 20:06

Do not say sorry. Carry on posting as much as you like - we’ve all been where you are (as you have, sadly). Flowers

mogulfield · 11/12/2017 03:52

east that’s what this thread is for, talk as much as you want. It’s a hard thing to go through and often we can’t approach people in real life. Flowers
After my MMC I was relieved when the bleeding started, by the time I found out things had gone wrong I really wanted everything over and done with. Look after yourself, make sure you rest lots and take your time.

zaalitje · 11/12/2017 04:28

So sorry to hear your news east

I'm panicking, just over 15 weeks and have my first cervical length check today, as well as something being not right there I'm also worried that they'll pick up something with the baby, no heartbeat or a delay in growth. Every scan brings out the worst anxiety in me and I don't know how to stop that.
I just can't see a lovely snuggly baby in my future so I'm constantly expecting the worst.

hotcookie · 11/12/2017 08:00

Sorry to hear your news east take care of yourself

zaa good luck at the scan today, I know the anxiety is awful, I hope today settles it slightly for you .

I have a migraine, paracetemol & caffeine done nothing, trying to decide if I can make it into work.

Eastend2015 · 11/12/2017 08:39

Thanks all, passed a number of clots this morning with no pain so hoping that’s it. I’ve never miscarried naturally before so I don’t really know what to expect. Any advice?

MsJuniper · 11/12/2017 09:23

@Eastend2015 I'm really sorry you are going through this. I hope it means that the risk of an ectopic is low. Apart from any medical advice after your scan, I'd stock up on pads that you feel comfortable in (ironically the slim postpartum pads from Boots were best for me but I had to send DH to get them as I couldn't face buying them) and some comforting, simple foods to keep your strength up (I mainly wanted fruit & toast). Drink plenty of water too. You will still have the hormone slide and need some time to process your loss so do be kind to yourself. Thanks

Lifeofpies · 11/12/2017 11:04

Good luck today, zaa
Sorry about the migraine, cookie, hope it goes quickly.

There’s a good thread in the miscarriage section with practical tips, eastend. I hope it goes quickly and as painlessly as possible. X

Phoned for booking in today, 22nd Dec, but feel like a fraud for some reason. Think I’ll try and get another scan in before then as I hate the idea of booking in then having another MMC.

Brenna24 · 11/12/2017 11:09

I am so sorry Eastend. Don't apologise for posting on here though. We are all here for you and understand where you are right now. Big unmumsnetty hugs from here.

I hope today goes well Zaa.

Glad all is well with you Mogul. Family stuff not directly stressful for me, but it is horrible seeing my sister very vulnerable and upset. Luckily she lives very close to me (for now) and is spending most days here, so I can help both practically and emotionally. I feel upset seeing her in such a state and would not be surprised if she is living with us by the time this baby is born - I am so glad DH is Italian and considers such living arrangements between family normal. Thankfully it is as unthinkable to him as me that she would go anywhere else.

In other happy news that I forgot to mention last time we went to meet my new great niece a week ago sunday and i have a lovely picture of her at 18 days old sleeping on top of my bump (who was furious and trying to kick her off Grin ).

31 weeks today and only 1 week to my next scan.

Thanks all. I wish you all the best with your pregnancies and hope to see you back on this thread soon! X

Brenna24 · 11/12/2017 13:01

I hope you are back soon too Flowers

LisaSimpsonsbff · 11/12/2017 13:05

Wishing you the absolute best, eastend - hope you and DH are able to really take of yourselves and each other through all this, and that you get the successful pregnancy you deserve very, very soon Flowers

zaalitje · 11/12/2017 16:23

Cervical length scan was ok, showed a healthy 44mm cervix with no funneling, so I can put my IC concerns to one side for a week or so.

Got a glimpse of bub too 😍
