Thankyou ladies 💖
mamma aww Twins! But the wrong way round..eek! They better get moving before they get stuck hehe. Are you planning on birthing vaginally or with a CS? X

WLMcI · 12/11/2017 10:47

@Hazandduck I was thinking about you the other day and wondering how week 39 was going, so exciting!!! I have mattress jealousy, I'd kill for 1 night of my hips not feeling like they are on fire. I've tried everything but it's the extra weight on my front plus the fact I have to sleep oddly propped up sideways due to never-ceasing heartburn, and all my weight falls onto my hips. Better get a waterproof cover on that lovely new mattress though LOL Wink

@mammabear mine has always been breech at scans (33+3 now), but I haven't had a scan for a month so I hope it has moved. I have a mw appointment next Monday so I'll ask her to check and then we'll see what we can do. I'll try anything to not have a C-section! My mother had me manipulated by hand very late on as I was breech; perhaps you'll find a consultant who is willing to do that, although with twins I imagine it's complicated (what isn't with twins!) X

theotherendofthesockportal · 12/11/2017 18:18

@mammabear4 my DD was a breech baby. Since she came 3 weeks ago I become a bit obsessed about breech birth. I found a good group on Facebook called Breech Birth UK, you may find them helpful toI. I’ve seen s few twin mums post on there. It’s a closed group but the played me to join fairly quickly.

Smurf123 · 13/11/2017 16:56

Hope everyone is going well! I've been a bit quiet on here but had my big scan today and was feeling anxious in the run up to it!
Baby looking good so far can't believe I'm now 21+3 and touch wood everything is looking good so far.
Like others have said on here I still find it incredibly hard to look past just getting to the next scan and don't think too far ahead.
Definitely feeling little movements have helped reassure me... Although I sometimes want to stay lying flat in bed just to feel them.. And need to remind myself that little baby does actually sleep occasionally lol

Ah thank you @WLM, I can’t believe I am now officially 1 hour and 3 minutes overdue! I’d lived in hope I would be early or at least on time...meh! I feel you on the crushing hip pain, and I sleep with 5 pillows and 3 little cushions to help with the heartburn too! This morning I thought I would actually have to phone my husband to help me get out of bed because I could not physically sit up and thought I was going to have to wet the bed 😂🙈 I ended up rolling on my side and wriggling off the edge like a seal. Dignity: gone!

@Smurf lovely news about your scan and glad all was ok :) The movements are the best feeling in the world.

@AnUtter that’s good news they are monitoring you, is the itching improving at all?

GreyCloudsToday · 14/11/2017 10:37

Hi All. Thanks for the advice Waterfeature and Brenna. I'm definitely wishing away every hour of the day. I feel pretty low but just trying to grin and bear it. Still no symptoms, and I'm 5w tomorrow. At least I tend to mc early (by 7 weeks). Hoping that my rampant self-medication with aspirin and folic acid will change something this time around.

It's beautiful to hear about all the growing bumps, Smurf and how wonderful to have twins Mamma. I hope your LO will be here soon Hazandduck. I hope you don't have OC AnUtterIdiot and that you feel better soon.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 14/11/2017 10:47

Greyclouds im 5 week tomorrow too :)
And apart from abit of on and off nausea i feel completely normal. It's still soooo early though so don't worry yourself, Some people wouldn't even realise they were pregnant this early on if they wasn't trying and testing. Keep postive xx

I'm booking a scan for 10weeks since the baby passed away at 9+5 last time even though i didn't mc until 12+5. I need the reassurance before christmas!

Haz aww bless you hehe. Not long now and you'll have a baby in your arms :) xx

halloumisandwich · 14/11/2017 11:40

Hi all. Great to hear good news from smurf, and not long to go now Haz, hope baby arrives speedily!
Had my 12 week scan this morning - all was good, baby was wiggling around in there! I still can't quite believe it!
I'm also self medicating on asprin grey after 2 miscarriages so I'm hoping it's done the trick for me, or I was just unlucky having 2 in a row. I think the anxiety got worse for me as I got nearer the point I'd lost the previous 2, but you just have to take it a day at a time, and time will pass, however slowly it seems to be creeping by at the moment.

Hazandduck · 14/11/2017 12:04

Thanks everyone!
@Halloumi congratulations on your 12 week scan! Wonderful news :)
@Grey and @Blue those early weeks are the worst! But a lot of people don’t get symptoms until later, if at all. My only symptoms at that stage were like I was going to come on my period...I found them really similar! Which was torture...crossing everything that the time flies for you both xx

GreyCloudsToday · 14/11/2017 12:11

Congratulations Halloumi Flowers and brilliant to hear a positive story after 2 mcs and aspirin. I'm in exactly the same boat.

Wow Bluee we are due date twins! Crossing everything we get there safely this time round. I might book an early scan as well.

I hope your baby is with you v. soon Hazandduck. How exciting!

I'm actually considering having aspirin.. but I'm waiting for a doctors appointment to discuss it as I've had 2 in a row also. I'm anti any meds usually- i wouldn't really take things to benefit me but I'd do anything to keep this baby.
Grey- I'm 4+6 off lmp but I'll prob be put back at a scan due to when i think i ovulated. I spoke to the community midwife yesterday so im waiting for my appointment to come through. It all seems so unreal at the moment! X

Hazandduck · 14/11/2017 18:02

I had 2 in a row too and bought lots of baby aspirin but never actually plucked up the nerve to take it in my third pregnancy. They are still in the medicine drawer untouched! I don’t know why I didn’t take them because everything I heard and read said it wouldn’t cause any harm. X

whyhastherumgone · 14/11/2017 18:06

Hi everyone, I dived out for a while as I'm out this time sadly. Found out at 20 week scan that baby had a severe heart defect - when this was checked with a cardio specialist it became clear that it wasn't survivable and could be down to a genetic issue. Hospital have been fantastic and we have had lots of tests to see if they can establish whether it is a genetic issue, whether one of us carries the gene, and how this will affect our chances in future.
I went into hospital on Saturday and was induced - it was very hard but we got through it and it wasn't as bad as I was expecting, but the recovery is going to be tough I know. We're both trying to focus on the positives that we found out now rather than later, and that hopefully the tests will be conclusive in one way or another so that when we are ready to try again sometime next year we will know what we are dealing with.
I wasn't going to come and post on here as I didn't want to bring you all down, but you've been so supportive since the beginning I didn't want to just never come back.
I really hope all your pregnancies go smoothly for you, and hopefully I will be back on these threads at some point in the future - I think if I ever get pregnant again that's going to be the hardest part of it all to be honest. I can't quite imagine it right now, but fingers crossed it will work out for us one way or another.

Good luck all xx
