Had one last week which appears to have done diddly squat. Any likelihood this one will be any different. 40+3 now Sad

Yes I'm in the same position Jelly. Almost all of my group were bought forward to 37 weeks (c sections and inductions) for a variety of reasons, plus one premature birth. So on actual dates, I should have been in the middle but reality has not worked out like that!

Ha, right now I'd happily pay £20+ for cinema tickets and miss the movie if it gets things going Grin I think my DH is my frustrated with the limbo than I am.

Jelly, totally get why you're nervous but on the plus side, you'll get to meet your baby very soon and pregnancy will be over! I hope it all goes well. I know one person who went into labour with just the pessary, and my SIL's second baby came flying out after having her waters broken. So it may be a relatively quick, straightforward process for you. Fingers crossed.

Well in brighter news, I've been offered a midwife run complimentary therapy session today (aromatherapy, acupressure and something with warm sticks?!) that they offer to overdue women. Hopefully it will get things moving, but if not, it should at least me nice and relaxing.

And there's always the full moon tomorrow 🤞🏻

Jellybabie3 · 04/10/2017 11:40

Ooo that sounds good Lemondrop i hope it pays off too!! I forgot about the full moon....we will all be celebrating tomorrow!!

Yay Jelly!!!! I really hope this is it for you and that you get your water birth. Whatever happens, it sounds like baby is ready to arrive very soon. I'll be cheering for you!

Awww Jadey, its rubbish, isn't it? Fingers crossed for that second sweep today.

Ladies, a friend just sent me this and it cracked me up so sharing here in the hope it makes you laugh too

Jadeybaby85 · 05/10/2017 10:05

Awwww good jellie.x I'll be thinking of you today.xxx

Jadeybaby85 · 05/10/2017 10:11

Really love that video it's fantastic.xx

10storeylovesong · 05/10/2017 12:16

I've been following hoping to see another baby on the thread soon. I really hope you get your water birth jelly

LubyLoo222 · 05/10/2017 14:14

My induction was started but not progressed, then the next day in hospital i started labouring on my own and I had my little boy early this morning 😍 so worth the wait! Hope you have a baby jelly

Lemondrop99 · 05/10/2017 14:49

Amazing news!!! Huge congratulations Luby!! Flowers

Hoping the lack of update from Jelly means that she's busy having her baby Grin

Jadeybaby85 · 05/10/2017 15:03

So had my 2nd sweep today. Baby is still no closer than last sweep. Still 2cm dilated and very comfy where she is. If I haven't had her by Tuesday morning then they've booked me in for an induction so she will be here whatever the weather by Tuesday 10th or early Wednesday 11th. So hopefully I'll go into labour before Tuesday.🙄

Lemondrop99 · 05/10/2017 15:06

Ah that's frustrating Jadey. Still you never know, looks like at least two people here managed to ultimately dodge induction, so fingers crossed baby makes a surprise earlier appearance.

Jadeybaby85 · 05/10/2017 15:36

I really hope so. If I have to have an induction then I can't have her at my chosen hospital 😣😔 which is poop. So really hoping she comes out before Tuesday. 🤞🤞🤞🤞

silkybear · 05/10/2017 21:07

A frustrating day here as I had contractions coming every 2 mins all afternoon and went into hospital tonight only to be told it was just v intense braxtons and cervix isnt ready. Of course it all stopped as soon as I went in! feel like an idiot its my 2nd baby so i should know the difference Sad oooh congrats to Luby though Grin enjoy the snuggles!

Jadeybaby85 · 05/10/2017 22:11

Sorry Luby didn't see your post earlier. Massive congratulations. Xxxxxxxxxxxx😍😍😍

Jadeybaby85 · 05/10/2017 22:13

Silkybear don't be silly. You shouldn't feel stupid every pregnancy is different.xx that must of been really frustrating and upsetting for you.xx I hope your ok.xx sending you lots of hugs.xx let's keep our fingers and toes crossed for lots of strong contractions coming our way.xxx

silkybear · 06/10/2017 06:45

cheers Jadey. crossing my legs today though as its the only day in 2 months i havent got childcare available. might mean i have to do part or all of labour on my own so dh can take dd. have prepared for the possibility but it would be weird not having him there. Brew fingers crossed for everyone today xxx

Lemondrop99 · 06/10/2017 10:18

Ah that must have been so frustrating Silky.

Well I went for it yesterday, despite not believing in all the old wives tales, I did the bloody lot pretty much! Plus all the oils and acupressure tips I was given in my complimentary therapy session. Aaaaaand nada. Full moon, you let me down!!! Officially sulking now.

Lemondrop99 · 06/10/2017 10:19

Also, hoping for exciting news from Jelly to cheer me up!

silkybear · 07/10/2017 19:55

Wish I hadn't read the 'signs of labour' thread that is currently trending, everyone is saying they had barely any warning and baby just popped out early. Smug bastards Wink

How is everyone? Hope you are all doing ok

GimbleInTheWabe · 07/10/2017 21:39

I’m slowly going out of my mind @silkybear! 40+5 here without a whisper of any kind of sign or symptom. Obviously doing my best to distract myself and enjoy these last days of freedom but finding it really difficult, I just wanna meet my little boy already!

silkybear · 07/10/2017 22:53

I'm 40+5 as well Gimble but had every symptom going since 37 weeks so every day I think it's gonna happen, then nothing. With my DD I went to 42 weeks but had no symptoms with her til a few days before. Not sure which scenario is worse to be honest, they both suck. hope it won't be much longer for either of us!

Jadeybaby85 · 08/10/2017 03:19

Gimble and silky I totally feel your pain. I'm now 41+3 been 2cm dilated for 2 weeks. Been having strong BH and mild contractions since 37 weeks and still nothing. 😔 I'm really scared about being induced which I'm booked for Tuesday. Really really hoping she will be here before then. My SIL has been 2 weeks behind me with her first and I am now rapidly catching up with her due date which is Friday 13th 😞. Neither of us want to go into labour at the same time. I'm really fed up now girls. Led here now with my DB snoring away next to me and I'm fighting the urge to whack him with a pillow 😉. Hoping for good news from you girls on here soon.xx

Jellybabie3 · 08/10/2017 07:41

Hi all. So good news! My boy is here Smile although labour was trickier than i thought! Can you believe it that contractions started just a few hours before i got called to come in for an induction! If ur interested heres how it went.... So that induction was cancelled although after a whole day of them 3min apart and becoming very strong we bit the bullet and went to hosp only to be sent home as i was only 1cm....i literally cried as i couldnt bare thought of going back home as i had terrible back ache (to say the very least). Anyway about 12 hours later went in again writhing in pain....told again only 1cm Sad was given a water injection in back......literally the most painful thing i have ever had done and did not work!!! Went home again only for waters to break 7 hours later. Hosp still refused to take me in as only 3cm. After another night of no sleep due to the back pain i called hosp again who finally took me in and gave me diamorphine - literally the best thing ever. Contractions ramped up to early hours yesterday morn to reach 10cm (so 48hr+ latent llt phase!!) to then see babys heart rate plummet - an ultrasound showed he was back to back and had head stuck on pelvis which was making it swell. Rushed down to theatre for a spinal block for an attempt at a forcep turn of baby which also failed - baby was delivered safely about 20min later by emergency cat 1 cesarean Shock its been a tough week for me and DH but despite that we are totally besotted with our little boy. Both mum and baby staying in hosp for a few days to recover but cant wait to take him home Grin

Yey and Wow what an ordeal Jelly congratulations. What did you call him?

Well guess what ladies my sister in law who I mentioned in my last post who is not due until.the 13th is currently in labour having gone into hospital 4 hrs ago 😣 am happy for her but very jealous. How can I be this sodden late????? 10 days over today. Been having stronger contractions last night than normal but due to this never amounting to anything I have ignored them. Timed them just now and they are like 30 mins apart so no hope there. 😞 so fed up.xxx
