Had one last week which appears to have done diddly squat. Any likelihood this one will be any different. 40+3 now Sad

Congratulations 10storey! Our DCs share a birthdate - I had a baby girl at 9.42 this morning. I'm glad that's over! Good luck to those still waiting xx

10storeylovesong · 01/10/2017 00:27

Congratulations to you as well donkey! How're you finding your first night home? After literally half hour sleep all day baby Dylan has been attached to my boob since 7.15 and just screams continuously if I try to put him down. I'm so tired I could sleep standing up and worried that he's not getting enough from me

Lemondrop99 · 01/10/2017 00:39

Congratulations donkey!

Wow 10, that sounds utterly exhausting

Jelly, I can totally relate to the September/October thing. It's really weird, because my due date was on the final day in September so I always knew there was a good chance it would be October. However actually faced with the reality of an October baby after months of saying I'm due in September is really weird. I hope your induction goes smoothly. It's a full moon on Thursday which might help move us all along!

Jadeybaby85 · 01/10/2017 01:02

Bring on the full moon!
Congratulations Donkey.xxxxxxxxx🤗

silkybear · 01/10/2017 03:07

Yey congrats Donkey! 10, he's probably just a bit unsettled til your milk comes in, hopefully it will get easier once it does. I found having dd in a sling was easier initially as she would only sleep on me for first few nights and went nuts at being put down. still waiting here. had painful braxtons for 4 hours this eve my tummy was solid the whole time and have been throwing up all day, but here I am at 3am and everything has stopped. Again. Seeing my midwife on monday who told me last fortnight that she doubts i will make it to due date as baby is 'so ready' Angry

donkey86 · 01/10/2017 06:55

10 - I wish I was home! We've had to stay overnight for extra monitoring because DD swallowed meoconium. I'm on a postnatal ward with several other women and crying babies - not exactly conducive to sleep/recovery. But at least it means there are staff around to reassure that all the crying is normal - which I'm sure it is for your DS too. I second the 'could sleep standing up' feeling!

Jadeybaby85 · 01/10/2017 08:25

Another night of false hope. So cheesed off!!😣

silkybear · 01/10/2017 08:33

Jadeybaby85 · 01/10/2017 09:57

Really am getting annoyed with people telling me she'll come when she's ready.😠 don't they think I no that. I've changed my what's app status to "No baby is still not here yes I have bounced on my ball eaten loads of curries etc and yes I will let you all no when something happens"
I no it's really bitchy but I couldn't help myself. Also snapped at my DB this morning and felt bad after cuz he's been so lush. Bought me flowers yesterday to try and cheer me up. Had a good cry this morning. Never mind girlys I'm glad I have you to talk to.xxx didn't help that my mum got my hopes up last night. She said that after her show with both me and my brothers pregnancys she had us within 24 hours 😞. Cheers mum lol.xx

Lemondrop99 · 01/10/2017 10:18

Jadey, maybe turn your phone off for the day? I'm certainly tempted to!

Jellybabie3 · 01/10/2017 10:24

Whatsapp is SO being turned off this week. My whole family did a sweep stake but noone betted beyond today. I am just waiting for the comments.......what i find annoying is very few people actually ask/or sympathise with how I am doing. Just 'where is he'. Not being a brat but it would be nice if one of them realised being 8 days overdue means I am a broken husk of my former self......

Noone but you all and DH know that I am due for induction on Thursday. I cant bear the thought of the questions/comments/advice.....

Can I join you all on labour watch? Due date tomorrow but due to DS2 arriving 2.5 weeks early (went in to labour at work) I over-confidently expected a September baby and have been on high alert for signs for weeks, so am feeling glum this morning that it didn't happen Sad
A week of on-off painful BH, some strong and regular enough to wake me through the night, doesn't help! I have lost some bits of plug a week ago and a bit more yesterday/today but think there's more to come. For the previous 2 I didn't lose it until well in to labour though.

I feel your pain with the constant questioning - mil is staying with us and is not very patient, every time I see her she asks 'do you feel anything yet?', taking much self control not to snap at her!

Oh I have also already called DH home on a false alarm Blush Luckily it was pretty much the end of the day anyway and my doctor had just scared me by warning that labour might be very fast and advised me to call straight away, but still embarrassing!

GimbleInTheWabe · 01/10/2017 10:32

Pj day for me too @Jellybabie3. Epically threw up last night after horrid nausea. Obviously the entire time thinking “could this be a sign?!” But woke up this morning and have def not had a baby haha. I never even got any morning sickness at all so why im getting weird nighttime nausea now is not fair!

Jellybabie3 · 01/10/2017 11:42

Nausea is a 'good' sign though. Fingers crossed for you xx

Welcome newbies.x feeling a little better now after going to tkmax and buying a lil new born sleeping bag.😍 retail therapy. I was sick twice yesterday to and never got and morning sickness at the beginning. Still getting cramps but no baba yet. Going round FIL's later for dinner. And my DIL who is 2 weeks behind me and having a boy will be there. She always says she'll come when she's ready. Easy for her to say she's not overdue yet and there not letting her go over either.
I'm having a growth scan tomorrow cuz she's been measuring big from the start. Why they've left it this long to give me a growth scan it's beyond me. Why give it after my due date??? It's playing on my mind. 😔

Jadeybaby85 · 02/10/2017 21:53

Baby is measuring exactly 40 weeks and 4 days which is what she is. Her estimated weight right now is spot on as it should be a 7lb 14oz which is fab. Sonographer said she's never known a baby so perfect with there measurements as her. I'm sooooooo relieved the only thing that could be slightly long for her is her legs but not abnormally long. Really relieved and really happy that she's not a chunk.😃😋🤰🏼💓.xxx how are all of you other ladies getting on?xx

GimbleInTheWabe · 02/10/2017 22:24

Good news @Jadeybaby85! Looks like baby will probs be at least 8lbs by the time they come out then. What kind of birth are you hoping for?

Well I’m officially at my due date today but unsurprisingly no sign of baby yet!
I’ve felt very tired and hungry today though and had increased cm so fingers crossed these are all good signs and he’ll make his entrance in the next couple of days.

Jellybabie3 · 02/10/2017 22:39

Thsts great news Jadey Smile

i have had third stretch n sweep tonight at hosp at 41+2. Due for induction thurs so bit of a long shot but you never know!

Lemondrop99 · 02/10/2017 23:04

Lovely news Jadey.

Really hoping your sweep works Jelly. Third time lucky?! Has there been any change between this sweep and the last?

I had my first sweep today. Absolutely nothing afterwards though. Not a twinge.

Jadeybaby85 · 02/10/2017 23:27

I'm hoping for water birth but we'll see. Happy due date day 🤗. Hopefully won't be that long.x

Jellie wow third sweep bet your counting the days til Thursday.xx

Lemondrop... I had my first sweep on due date which was Thursday and didn't have anything til 5pm on Saturday when I had a show. And nothing since.x so don't loose hope yet.xx

Girls I read somewhere that to get yourself through going overdue to give yourself a different treat for every day you go over due. Plan it out. Doesn't have to be big. Example. Monday buy my fav cake. Tuesday watch my favourite film. Wednesday have one glass of my fav wine. Thursday.. buy myself a little treat. Etc etc.xx helps a little.xx😃

silkybear · 03/10/2017 06:21

i saw midwife 2 weeks ago who said with all my symptoms and how low baby is she would be very surprised if I went past due date (yesterday). had another mw app yesterday (different midwife) and turns out baby is now back to back. She told me it probably means a slower more painful labour likely to end up instrumental again and my symptoms dont mean much as I still could go 2 weeks over again Hmm so that was a ray of fucking sunshine. spent all yesterday throwing up and with constant periody pains so this news was not welcome. I like the tip about a treat a day Jadey, im going to go out and get cake later and trying to take DD out for short walks every day. lots of sweeping going on between you all so hopefully some good news on the thread soon Flowers
