Second stretch and sweep - any hope??

Had one last week which appears to have done diddly squat. Any likelihood this one will be any different. 40+3 now

Jelly with my dd I was booked in for induction at 7.30 on monday morn and she was born naturally at 7.11 so its possible. Jadey good news about baby scan

Morning ladies. No, no change between any of my sweeps but ironically i had a student do it yesterday who in my (now expert opinion ) was brilliant. Doubt it will work as i assume this means as everyone has been telling me that my body hasnt been ready but i am so pleased i tried again. Not anything else i couldve done to avoid any chemical intervention now. Least he should be here by the weekend and then i will feel like an embarrassed plonker for getting so wound up for 2 weeks.
Was up half the night with back spasms on left side (not labour symptoms) dunno where that came from but jesus that hurt. All i could think was 'let contractions be easier than this!!' I think I'm in for a shock lol. Good practice for breathing techniques though!!
I love the idea of treating yourself everyday btw (although i have eaten my weight in cake the past few weeks haha) so thats given me something to ponder this morn.

Im off for induction today 😭 but also 😆 cos hopefully some point by thurs this will all be over and i will have my baby boy here!!! Good luck everyone else!!

Aww Jelly that's horrible I hope your back stops playing up. Is it definitely not to do with Labour? Cause some women get Labour pains in their back. My backs in tatters this is my first baby and I really did not expect to be so huge and uncomfortable. I am I lubyloo 5ft 3 and normally a size 8-10 with lil size C babalons. I have put on 4 stone with this pregnancy. My ass is trying to catch up with my belly and looks like pizza dough that someone stuck their fingers in. 😂 My lil babalons are now saggy with stretch marks round my nipples. And my poor legs and feet have been swollen terribly. Have been wearing super sexy compression socks for the last 2 weeks and they've helped. 😃 will all be worth it I no but Jesus Christ I didn't think I'd be sat here in my size 18-20 pants lol. Never mind I really can't wait to meet her and kiss her all over her lil face.😙

Lubyloo I can't believe they said that about it being super painful and stuff like that. Some bloody midwives really need to be taught bedside manner. I mean for f**k sake. Try not to stress and have a lil look online at natural ways you could try to get the baby to turn again. Honestly sometimes I think these midwives and doctors can tell you far to much detail.😡

My treat today is a waddle along the sea front. Last time I did that I had my show later that day. But my poor back did pay for it.xxx

I've eaten my own body weight in cake recently.... Daily treats is a good idea. I'm going to attempt a cinema trip on Thurs if nothing has happened by then.

No i dont think back ache was a labour thing as only on left side? Was spasming every 10mins and lasting about 10min a time. Just horrid. I assume its just the weight of carrying baby thats finally got to me. Stopped in the early hours which is good but does mean i am a proper zombie today. Feet up afternoon i think.

No, not a squeek here. My boy is going to make me wait til the last min! Tomorrow will be my last day before going to be induced (and maybe before becoming a mum!) 50% excited 50% nervous!! I am going to try and relax tomorrow - face masks, greys anatomy binge, whatever food I fancy etc....feels very strange

Oooof I love Bakewell tart! I made my macaroons too but tbf they are pretty easy to make. Never baked so much since being pregnant, don’t think DP is complaining though ha. Your chill day tomorrow sounds lovely, no doubt that means your little man is going to interrupt it by kicking things off!

Aaaaaaaah fuck fuckity fuck fuck fuck! Just been woken up by my phone buzzing like crazy. Another birth announcement from my NCT group. Thats 6/8 babies born now - the eldest being 6 weeks and several being around 4 weeks!!

Being stuck at the back suuuuuuuuucks I'm likely to be last, as the other person is due before me (we're both overdue now) and I imagine she only has a couple more days before they induce.

Sorry Lemondrop its crap isnt it. Your cinema visit is a good plan. Sods law says once you have paid over the odds to watch a film for 2 hours waters will break ten minutes after the opening credits . I am wide awake tonight, 3ish hours of sleep. not tired now but I know when dd gets up in an hour i will suddenly be knackered. fucking hormones

Ah Lemon, i am the same as you....8/10 NCTs born and we were meant to be second. I had an announcement yesterday whos baby was 18 days early so now we are almost set to be last ..what makes itl worse is the stories. Yesterdays announcement was an induction so i wanted to know the details but now i am potentially 18hrs away from getting the call to go in i am bricking it (my hosp start ringing at 1am....)

Best of luck with the cinema. I also think it would be a good prompt for waters (i Shouldve gone....i can imagine a cry of 'oh shit.....oh yes!!!' Hahaha.
