Ive really struggled today with pains across mid to lower bump and back. Only about 3 bh/contractions all day but feeling like nasty constipation/trapped wind pain and a nightmare trying to stand up. Almost like intense stitch/pulling. Spent most of the afternoon sat on loo to relieve pressure (nothing else doing). Think my back is knackered from hip circles on the ball!! Not fun atm

Glad I'm not the only one up. Went up to bed at 8.30 tonight. Fell straight to sleep woke up 20 mins ago for my 1st wee. Now I'm wide awake. I looked at my phone thinking it must be about midnight and it was 10.22! Is that all!!!☹ so I've taken my pillow downstairs. Now I'm led on the sofa contemplating a film on Netflix. Been getting weird contraction style pains on and off all day. But this lil one has cried wolf before.
I find my back hurts after two many hip circles on my ball to. Try bouncing for a bit instead. 🤗

I fell asleep at 8.30 i felt shattered, woken a few times in the night to them but mainly not bad enough to stop me sleeping. Been up since 5.30am and only had a few 😭😭😭

Sorry to hear nothing happening yet Luby, it sucks. I'm really struggling this morning and I feel like a complete twat because I'm only 39+5 but my hormones are all over the place. Veering from hysterical crying to PMT rage all day every day. Never had this with DD even at 42 weeks, was bored and frustrated but no emotional rollercoaster like this. I feel ridiculous as this could easily go on for another 2 weeks or more and I feel like I'm totally losing my shit already!

Well after no signs or twinges at all yesterday, my waters broke at 10.15 last night as I was cleaning teeth to go to bed then contractions started while in the car on the way to the hospital and 8lb 8oz of gorgeous little boy arrived at 5.12 am today. I'm so in love.

OMG!!! That's amazing news 10! Congratulations, I'm so happy that you had a relatively quick labour. And after no twinges.....well that gives me some hope!

Thanks all. At 10pm I actually told bump that I was disappointed in him as it would have been ideal as my 4 year old was having a sleepover with his aunt. 15 mins later it all kicked off. There is definitely hope. Even while on the phone about waters going, I'd not had a single contraction. I was 6cm by the time I got to hospital!

I’m joining the club here! Currently sat on the ball, drinking RLT after doing some nipple tweaking. C’mon baby boy I want to meet you already! I’m 39+5 so not quite past my due date yet but keen to get things moving. Had absolutely no signs whatsoever so far but I’ve been lucky to have a very straightforward pregnancy so thinking I’ll probs go overdue.

Has anyone else tried visualisation? Baby was moving so much as I was doing some last night but clearly didn’t work!

Well hello over here Gimble 😉 I think there are a fair few of us now spanning the "please hurry up baby" threads. I had some painful tightenings a couple of hours ago that were convincing enough to start timing them... but now sat with the tens machine on perched on my yoga ball and they've already gone, so chalking that one up to a false start! Boooooooo.

Hi folks, I'm joining the gang too, 40+2, bouncing on ball right now, been on long walk, not sure I can face sex but might try later it's my partners birthday today! Also got some clary sage oil on the go... so uncomfortable now, want to give this baby a cuddle soon!

Hello new peeps. So just had a show and trying not to leap up and down with excitement as I no it doesn't necessarily mean labour is imminent. But got I hope it is. Sat here bouncing on my ball and going up and down the stairs. Obviously not at the same time lol now that would be silly. 🤣 I am 40+2 got a feeling my sleep won't come at all tonight. It's shit enough as it is. But now I've had a show I'm guna be to excited and full.of anticipation.

Ooh exciting @Jadeybaby85! If I were you I’d try and have a sleep now if you can just in case labour does begin and before the contractions get too uncomfortable. But obviously could all be nothing, typically!

Nipple tweaking didn’t seem to do anything for me but then I’ve been expressing for the last few weeks so maybe my boobs aren’t as sensitive to it or something.

Hows things your way jelly i was in hospital today for monitoring AGAIN and was good to see the machine picking up contractions so i know they are real and not just wishful thinking!

Oh thats good, must be a relief! Hope your OK? I am OK thanks just trying to stay calm. Realised i have got too worked up about baby coming which esp now i know i wont be having a September baby is easier to do. Daft really, but October it shall be!!. Being induced Thursday so just trying to get my head around that. Still havent had a show or anything so i am anticipating going the whole hog now. Not ideal but thats the way it goes sometimes i guess! Leaves me 4 days to take a deep breath and rest up. Funny how when your 'goals' arent achieved per say you relax. Hope some more babies are en route from this thread
