extremely embarrassing but desperate..

I'm 18 weeks pregnant. Been constipated for about 2 weeks nothing too major or difficult and always managed to get everything out Blush

(This is where I get graphic)

However today went to the toilet and got a few tiny tiny balls of poo out and can feel there's a massive part stuck up there , I can not get this piece out its soooo uncomfortable! I tried having my feet placed up higher to try and help but nothing! I can't get past "turtle head" (oh god so embarrassedBlushSad) it's stuck up there and I had to give up , when I "wiped" there was blood I assume from me pushing so hard. I can't physically get fingers up as its RIGHT THERE..

I am truly mortified posting this but i really hope someone can advise me on what to do I'm terrified Sad

Keep logging in (no pun intended) to see if you’ve been yet.
They always come out eventually. Good luck x

The impossible poo Grin

Sukitakeitoff · 23/09/2017 22:45

Place marking. Love a live poo thread Grin

Sukitakeitoff · 23/09/2017 22:48

Sorry hope that didn't seem unkind Blush

I agree we should feel less shame in talking about poo - and bodily functions in general. Hope it's all over soon and not too painful!

King Kongs poo 😂

ScotsLamb · 24/09/2017 10:23

Any feedback? Do we have a birth announcement?

MsP0b · 24/09/2017 10:50

I bought a toddler toilet step from IKEA to use as a squatty step... so much easier to get those rock hard preggo poos out now.

Hairgician · 24/09/2017 11:36

Ooh a live poo thread nowGrin

Hope op getting somewhere with it!!

User24689 · 24/09/2017 12:12

Sympathies OP! I have had this in both my pregnancies. A month or 2 ago I had to about my DH to come to the rescue at 6am because my 2 year old was staring at me curiously waiting for me to finish my poo and it was completely stuck and I was trying not to cry. it was agony. Since then I have been taking lactulose every night before bed and keeping on top of that has sorted me out. It is safe to take right through pregnancy.

Are you on iron supplements? They can cause constipation.

Hope you've had some relief, I know exactly how you feel Flowers

TickettyB · 24/09/2017 13:34

Not sure if anyone has mentioned dark chocolate but my mum advised me to eat this after childbirth (she had six of us so I trusted her advice). It works so well. Also putting feet on a stool.

namechangeforpost · 24/09/2017 14:13

I CAN NOT get this big bit out , I'm tears and panicking like mad.

Don't know what to do Sad

are you a hundred percent sure you are pushing poo, and not a prolapse or haemorrhoid?

KermitsLoveChild · 24/09/2017 14:15

You poor soul, you must be so uncomfortable.

As a PP has said have you tried putting a finger into your vagina and pressing on the back wall? This can help ‘remould’ it a bit as well as assist with the downward pressure.

namechangeforpost · 24/09/2017 14:18

Yes 100% it's a huge piece of poo

Yes I've tried this, also tried putting fingers up and I can't , I haven't slept in 2 nights now due to discomfort all I want is relief and sleep Sad

Have you been to the chemist?

Fannyfannakerpants · 24/09/2017 14:54

How has it taken me to pregnancy number 3 to find out about kiwis? They're going on the shopping list tomorrow!
Go and speak to a Dr or pharmacist OP. It won't be anything that they haven't heard thousands of times.

Ledkr · 24/09/2017 15:05

Prune juice worked for me. Maybe have a warm bath?
I'd be frantic as well. Maybe see dr or midwife tomorrow for a mocrolax enema

DownstairsMixUp · 24/09/2017 15:14

Poor op, did you try the glycerine? Was the only thing that worked for me to

Drop your inhibitions, get some lubricant and/or warm water, get your fingers up there and dig it out with your bare hands. It might disgust you to start with but the relief will be immense. You might have an element of prolapse (look up rectocele) which means it won't come out with all the prune juice in the world because it is stuck in the wrong place. I have a friend with severe prolapse issues and she does variations of this several times a week. Good luck

namechangeforpost · 24/09/2017 15:24

I've got an OOH appointment at 7pm I'm really really hoping they can do something Sad

littlecabbages · 24/09/2017 15:28

Oh no OP this sounds like a nightmare.

I may or may not have known someone who used their child’s plastic teaspoon to scoop it out before. I assume the spoon went straight in the bin after! Well gosh I bloody hope so 💩

Falconhoof1 · 24/09/2017 16:17

Don't know if this has been suggested but (and I was told this by a professional) of the poo is literally right there, put your thumb up your vagina and push against the back wall. Hth!

Falconhoof1 · 24/09/2017 16:25

Sorry just saw this has been mentioned!
