Hi, I'm new to the pregnancy board. I've just found out that I am pregnant with my 2nd (4 weeks today) and the NHS calculator says all being well I will be due around 12th May.

I couldn't see any threads for May yet - anyone just found out and want to join me?

DS has just turned 7 so I'm a bit rusty on this whole pregnancy thing!

Just try to remember that it could be anything. Try to just stay calm until you receive your scan or some advice. I know it's easier said than done but just take care of yourself and relax as much as you can. And stay away from Google, it's not your friend!

87arshaw · 01/10/2017 21:21

Hi All,
I'm new to mumsnet and this is my first pregnancy. I'm 6/7 weeks and due 23rd May. I'm excited to find this thread although I'm not entirely sure what all of the abbreviations mean! I'm happy to find others in the same boat as I haven't told anyone yet.

How's is everyone feeling? I have good and bad days. I mostly feel tired, on/off nausea and my boobs have gotten bigger. I find the nausea pretty awful, I don't know what to eat to feel better. I usually don't eat carbs apart from at breakfast but I'm having to eat more bread to get through the day.

Hope everyone is managing well x

Jaronior · 01/10/2017 22:34

@Member171204 twins!! How amazing- congrats x

Hill1991 · 02/10/2017 14:35

Hi all just wondering is anyone getting cravings in the middle of the night I had to wake my fiancé up at half 2 just so I could go to asda to get an ice pop safe to say there is about 40 in our freezer now Smile

Hannahf89 · 02/10/2017 16:35

@Hill1991 that's so funny! Probably not for your husband though!

I'm not getting any cravings yet, just some foods that I used to like knock me sick. Like @87arshaw I'm eating a lot of bread.

lottiec1 · 02/10/2017 16:45

@Hill1991 I wouldn't say I have cravings but I have gone through a ridiculous amount of satsumas in the last week!!

I'm finding I'm really repulsed by some smells. OH is a smoker and I can barely be in the same house as him after he's smoked. If I've got to give up gin then they are gonna have to go!!

Anybody else irrationally emotional?! Blush

Hannahf89 · 02/10/2017 17:04

@lottiec1 I'm with you on the gin, I miss it so much! I hate OH drinking when I can't.

I've been very irrationally emotional the past week. I had a courier coming to pick a parcel up on Friday. He said the barcode was wrong and that he couldn't take it and I uncontrollably started crying my eyes out. He still didn't take it...

AlexsMum89 · 02/10/2017 19:23

I'm definitely unreasonable at the moment. I can't bear anything close to my face (so dh isn't even allowed a cuddle!) Noises irritate me, touching me irritates me etc etc

I haven't had any cravings yet, but last week I had no appetite for food at all. Now I have no self control with food, if it's in front of me I'm eating it! And it's not exactly fruit and veg Blush it's like I'm just a bottomless pit right now

McTootBlowsOnHisBagpipe · 03/10/2017 08:02

Haha @Alexsmum89 my DP just read your description and said that that is a perfect description of me at the moment too. I actually thought my moods weren't too bad at the moment, but apparently they are. Just the sound of DP gulping a drink makes me want to shout at him.

No cravings for me either, I'm still very anti food. Although I had a good day yesterday where I managed a small bowl of pasta, however was up at 6.30 this morning being sick. Urgh.

AlexsMum89 · 03/10/2017 17:49

Omg the drink gulping!

I'm 6 weeks pregnant and maybe due around 26th may.
I've had some cramping and small amount of blood this morning so I'm praying everything is still ok. Doctor has booked me in for a scan Thursday morning. Hoping I'm still in the May club x

LadyPug · 03/10/2017 18:13

Try not to worry Sham I'm a week ahead of you but a week ago I had exactly the same, got sent for a scan and baby was all good :-)

Shammeyuk · 03/10/2017 18:30

Ladyplug that's reassuring, I posted on here this morning and have had lots of lovely replies. I cannot help worrying but it's great to know it doesn't necessarily mean the worst. Can I ask how much blood you had, I was in such a panic I didn't have a good look. Mine was more of a mucus/blood and was a few wipes (not soaking the tissue or anything) and had nothing since. I still have a bit of what feels like period pains but no more bleeding.

LadyPug · 03/10/2017 18:38

Hehe ladyplug! That's a much more fun name, I might change it! Haha. I had the same, it was brown and mixed with mucus, anywhere between size of a 5 pence piece and a two pence piece depending on different toilet times, it lasted on and off for a week, they don't know why but baby is ok which is the main thing. I've also been having period type pains!

Shammeyuk · 03/10/2017 19:00

How odd I just hit reply so no idea how I changed your name haha. Ladyplug sounds very apt for our conversation.
Mine wasn't brown, more pinky but as I said I wish I had taken more notice of it rather than panicking.

LadyPug · 03/10/2017 19:20

Hehehe it is! Don't panic, I had to see doctor yesterday (not pregnancy related) but she told me bleeding in pregnancy is really common and as long as you're not in lots of pain or losing lots of blood not to worry too much

rasberryandlime · 03/10/2017 20:25

@Shammeyuk @LadyPug am going through exactly the same, have been bleeding on and off for a few weeks now, alternating between light brown discharge and occasionally fresh red blood. Never a lot but enough to panic me. Absolutely terrifying isn't it the minute you see blood. Had another early scan yesterday and was told I have a Subchorionic hemorrhage, basically a small bleed within the uterus that has been causing the bleeding. Good news is at the moment it is well away from baby and baby is doing fine, but can't help worrying none the less. Relieved though to finally have a cause from the bleeding and that it's not coming from baby. Anybody else been diagnosed with one of these?

LadyPug · 03/10/2017 20:51

I didn't have that raspberry but scan ended abruptly as I nearly fainted so they didn't get a look at my ovaries!

Mayah · 04/10/2017 00:00

Oh deary me, I've just been to the gym for the first time since I found out I was pregnant. I've now come home to a little blood when I wipe. It's pink with mucus but gosh did it scare me! I really hope it was just a coincidence that I started to spot the day I go to gym and not because of gym Blush I'm 6 weeks today.

Yorkie17 · 04/10/2017 08:29

Hi Ladies,
I'm now 7+5 and have been dipping in and out of this thread and all your comments have been really helpful and reassuring.
A side from the overwhelming tiredness and sickness I have felt OK.....until the last few days!
Literally everything is irritating me and I'm being totally unreasonable.
My poor husband is of course getting the brunt of it but I just can't help it.
If he so much as breathes it makes me want to throw something at him! Help! Xx

McTootBlowsOnHisBagpipe · 04/10/2017 10:06

Raspberry my early scan showed I had (or have) a subchorionic harmatoma but she said it was outside of the sac and nothing to worry about. She said I may have some more bleeding or it may be absorbed by my body. I know it's not the same as you but thought I would just say.

Yorkie, I'm 9 weeks now and can just about tolerate my DP, the mere sound of him eating or breathing made me hate him a few weeks ago though! There are still some things he does which make me angry but it has lessened 😂

McTootBlowsOnHisBagpipe · 04/10/2017 10:06

Or haematoma even 🙄

Bunnyfluffy · 04/10/2017 10:22

7 weeks today and sick as a dog Sad
Haven't been able to go to work all week. Feel terrible and so miserable. I thought pregnancy was meant to be full of joy and excitement but all I feel is misery

Hill1991 · 04/10/2017 12:26

Bunnyfluffy I was like that a few weeks ago I ended up having 2 weeks off work and since I’ve been back I’m only back 2 part days a week as that’s all I can manage at the minute, have you tryed anything for the sickness ginger is meant to be good and try eating smaller meal more often as when I get hungry my sickness gets worse
