Hi, I'm new to the pregnancy board. I've just found out that I am pregnant with my 2nd (4 weeks today) and the NHS calculator says all being well I will be due around 12th May.

I couldn't see any threads for May yet - anyone just found out and want to join me?

DS has just turned 7 so I'm a bit rusty on this whole pregnancy thing!

@hannahf89 I've also been having a bit of brown spotting, it was just a small amount over the past few days, I think it's left over from last period though from what I've read. Glad I've seen someone else with it though, makes me relax a little!

McTootBlowsOnHisBagpipe · 20/09/2017 18:46

Hi all, hope you don't mind me joining in too? I think my due date will be around 9th may. I miscarried back in June so constantly on edge at the moment, had a bit of spotting so had a scan yesterday which showed baby's heartbeat and everything is as it should be. The nausea and sickness is something else though. This will be my 4th baby, but I've never experienced it this bad before. Been off sick from work for 3 days so far, and going to the doctors tomorrow as I can't function. It's even waking me up at night!

Hannahf89 · 20/09/2017 19:07

@DaisyMay25 I'm glad I'm not alone. It's weird how much I worry - I thought I'd find out and just be on cloud 9! How far on are you? I'm 4 + 4.

Have people booked in for their first appointment with the midwife. I've read that you can either go to your GP or midwife at the hospital. Not sure what's generally done...so new to this!

DaisyMay25 · 20/09/2017 19:14

@Hannahf89 I worry far too much too, got cramps sometimes too but only mild ones, I'm 5+3 but only found out yesterday! (I took tests a week ago but they was negative but after dreaming all Monday night about taking tests I took on as soon as I woke up)

I went to the doctors yesterday and they put me in the book for the midwife who called me today. I'm booked in to see her 4th October

Jade1928 · 20/09/2017 19:16

Hi all,

Congratulations on all your pregnancy's :D

I found out a few weeks ago my Fiancé and I are expecting our 1st... Due date approximately 6th May 2018. So currently 7wk + 3.

Got my booking appointment date through today for next week 28th. All starting to feel a bit more real now :D

Manctart · 20/09/2017 19:25

Hello ladies can I join? I am 5+6 but have already had a few problems with spotting/bleeding and have had to go to the EPU. If it all turns out OK (fingers crossed!!) I will be due on 18th May. I thought TTC was stressful but I think I feel even more stressed out now!! Is anyone else anxious?!

Loopylasso79 · 20/09/2017 19:37

Congratulations, yes I feel terribly anxious wish I could relax it's an awful feeling.

DaisyMay25 · 20/09/2017 19:39

Just wondering, has anyone told anyone else yet?
I've told my manager because I've been so light headed on the verge of passing out a few times.
My fiancé is dying to tell his brother but I know we should wait until 12 weeks but I just don't know if we can haha

MumRuns77 · 20/09/2017 19:48

Hey guys! Can I join you? 4 weeks pregnant, EDD 27 May.

Got a DS who is 13 months. Last time my boobs were heavy and super sensitive by this stage. This time, I've just had the mild cramping I had last time and that some of you are experiencing. Fingers crossed.

I'm 40 - are there any other older Mums?

Jade1928 · 20/09/2017 19:55

@DaisyMay25 I had to tell my manager the other day as I have been signed off work with suspected HG, as I've had really bad all day morning sickness. The only time it seems to clear up is in the evening about this time.

Sorry hope you don't mind me joining this thread but as it's our first, I'm finding the information on here very useful and its nice meeting fellow May 2018 mums to be :D

Jade1928 · 20/09/2017 19:58

We have also told parents on both sides, as couldn't contain the excitement. Fingers crossed it all goes okay. Everyone else we are waiting until about 12wks to tell them.

DaisyMay25 · 20/09/2017 20:00

@Jade1928 oh no, poor you! I haven't actually been sick thankfully just got that horrible stomach churning feeling all day with being lightheaded!
How far along are you?

MummyOf1Boy · 20/09/2017 20:02

Hi all, i got my BFP last week after 16 months ttc. If my dates are right ill be due 26th May 🎉 it still doesnt feel real xxx

Loopylasso79 · 20/09/2017 20:05

Just my partner and Mam do far. Will need to let my boss know. I've actually been on the sick for 2 weeks with a suspected ovarian cyst!

Bunnyfluffy · 20/09/2017 20:21

We've told parents on both sides. Figured out I'd want them to know / like their support if the worst were to happen.

Planning on getting an early scan, after that we might tell our siblings.

Won't tell anyone else until 12 week scan, but won't go to extreme lengths to hide it. I'm naturally very small and already got a sticky out belly (probably bloating). So I'm prepared for people to notice!

Not planning on telling work until 12 week scan, although if I'm sick will have to say something earlier.

Nervous as I've got a couple of overseas trips with work over the next month!

Congrats & welcome to all the new ladies.

LadyPug · 20/09/2017 21:02

Welcome to the newbies! We've not told anyone yet. I'm actually pretty worried that I feel so fine, I know every pregnancy is different but I have zero boob pain, zero sickness pretty much, even my tiredness isn't crippling like it was last time. Surely I should feel more than a few cramps?! What if It's ectopic? (I know nothing about ectopic, just scaring myself!) or what if the tests are wrong and I'm not really pregnant? I realise I'm rambling but just don't feel remotely pregnant!

Jade1928 · 20/09/2017 21:40

@DaisyMay25 I am currently 7+3 , I have been fine up until mid last week, I was hoping I was going to get away with it, hoping it wont last too much longer. Apart from sickness the only other sign I have had is tiredness. So in a way the MS has given me a bit of reassurance as I worried I wasn't experiencing many symptoms.

rasberryandlime · 20/09/2017 21:51

@LadyPug totally get you, I have zero symptoms as well, apart the worrying cramps which feel like constant period pain. It's just so hard not to worry about everything

LadyPug · 20/09/2017 22:16

So hard raspberry I'm like come onnnnnn symptoms! Where are you?!?!

MumRuns77 · 20/09/2017 22:36

@Ladypug. Mixed feelings for me - felt so crap last time and loving work at the moment so don't want to be sick. But hope it isn't a sign that things aren't happening as they should. Fingers crossed for all of us. Xxx

Kit17 · 21/09/2017 06:47

Surely I can't be getting bigger already? I'm only 5wks but my work trousers definitely feel tight! Can't decide whether I'm imagining it, being paranoid or eating too many pies! Shock

DareToDream89 · 21/09/2017 07:44

@Kit17 mine too!! My DH has said I'm imagining things but they are rather tight! I feel so bloated as well which doesn't help xx

LadyPug · 21/09/2017 07:48

It's probably just the bloating kit I have to keep remembering to do my jeans up when I get out of the car! Haha!

rasberryandlime · 21/09/2017 08:06

@Kit17 totally, although in my case I've definitely been eating more so think I've just put on a few pounds :) Still have a constant period type pain, for the 3rd day now, anyone else had for this long?

LadyPug · 21/09/2017 08:21

I have raspberry and I'm trying not to be scared but I have really bad cramps in tummy and back today, it's agony and worse than ever, hope it's all ok!
