Hi all....long story short. 39+5 with DC2. PainfulBH for 1.5 weeks, back pain, pooping....I could go on. I had a sweep almost a week ago, made me bleed a bit not much else. Was 2cm but still hard cervix. What is going on?? Any tips to get it going? We DTD this morning, heaps of RLT, I even pulled out the breast pump and have been using it intermittently. Will give another go later. I was induced 9 days late with my first. Please don't let that happen again!!!

39+4 here, in very slow labour, contractions every ten minutes but been sent home. Only 1-2cm dialated but it bloody hurts. Going to be induced tomorrow, can't wait Grin

Welcome to you too baby Smile

sophiejayne96 · 15/09/2017 18:56

Soo we went to be induced and didn't need to be as I was already having contractions.. then my waters broke at half 8 last night. I started having awful contractions straight away and then got moved to the birthing centre where we had use of the pool etc. Everything progressed nicely from there and was fully dilated by 6am and pushing. After 2 hours pushing I was exhausted and baby George was getting tired too so we were transferred to a doctor's delivery room where I had my feet in stirrups and was cut down below so they could put a suction cup on George's head to help him out. He was out 15 minutes later with the help of 8 fantastic doctors and midwives. Im sore now but so excited to be home now.

Congrats SJ Flowers great news.
Can i join? I am 39 weeks today. Been having mild 'contractions' on/off since.last Saturday. 2am this morn i had them every 9 min til just after 3am. What is going on?? Tmi but lots of need to empty bowels and almost constantly feeling like period is going to start. Yesterday laid down it felt like contractions were starting in bum area???

Babyblues14 · 16/09/2017 10:24

Went back in to labour ward last night, excruciating contractions, still only 3cm dialated, they broke my waters because I was screeching in pain. Got there at 1am and my little girl was born at 7.20, never known a pain like it and I had every drug going but as corny as it sounds everyone is right. You completely forget it once baby is here xxx wishing you all great birth experiences. Can't wait to get home and have cuddles on the sofa Grin

Has anyone else gone a week without pooing after birth?

Babyblues14 · 22/09/2017 16:59

Hi Sophie, yes I did my first one today 6 days after birth. I could of gone earlier but was worried about pushing as I had a lot of stitches. I just let it come naturally
Congrats on your gorgeous baby Flowers

Sasmac2017 · 23/09/2017 22:44

Hey SJ, I did one the next morning. It could be psychological, the fear of pooping and it's totally undestandable. Keep up a high fives diet so they're soft. Omg I got post birth haemorrhoids 😖🙁😬

Hi I followed this thread but didn't post, I had DS just over two weeks ago and was cut during labour. I also couldn't poo for a few days, in the end I got some lactulose. It adds water into your Bowels making your poo soft. Be warned it kicks in fairly quickly and you'll need to be near a loo when it does! But the relief was great as there was no pushing needed. Holding a pad against your stitches helps too x

sophiejayne96 · 23/09/2017 23:02

Finally went.. 8 days later! 😂 It wasn't bad at all!

sophiejayne96 · 26/09/2017 13:40

Anyone lost their appetite completely since giving birth? I'm lucky if I'm managing to find time and the need to eat 2 pieces of toast throughout the day at the moment..

Sasmac2017 · 27/09/2017 09:40

Hey SJ, funnily enough yes! I'm still eating but nowhere near the amount I was when pregnant, I gained quite a bit of weight. I gained double with my first DS and had zero appetite after and lost the weight really fast.
I agree it could be a time factor. Sometimes I am actually starving but after nappy changes, breakfast for older kids, school drops, grocery runs, etc etc I forget to eat

sophiejayne96 · 27/09/2017 09:55

Me too! I don't even have any older children so God knows how you manage to fit everything in one day! To top it off, George woke up this morning with a cold. So I now have a poorly boy. :(

Sasmac2017 · 27/09/2017 23:46

Aww that's no good SJ that he's already sick!! Yes it is hard. I just gave DH a hug and said I felt so out of control of everything today. Nico is 4 1/2 weeks today and the lack of sleep is catching up with me.
I just had breakfast and its 11.45am. Lol. X
