Omg....when will this labour start!?!?

Hi all....long story short. 39+5 with DC2. PainfulBH for 1.5 weeks, back pain, pooping....I could go on. I had a sweep almost a week ago, made me bleed a bit not much else. Was 2cm but still hard cervix. What is going on?? Any tips to get it going? We DTD this morning, heaps of RLT, I even pulled out the breast pump and have been using it intermittently. Will give another go later. I was induced 9 days late with my first. Please don't let that happen again!!!

Woke up this morning and absolutely nothing is going on, I knew they would stop 🙈

I'm 8cm and have had an epidural so feeling better now :)

Oh Sophie I was the same last night loads of pains thought we were game on them nothing by morning. But least I got some sleep. It was raspberry leaf tea that set it all off. I get mega pains from just half a cup don't know whether I should consume it like billio or not!! It just seems to cause pain but no action!

Mini great news hoping you might have a Mini Mini in your arms by now!

Hmmm I may try this raspberry leaf tea, heard good things about it.. maybe you just need to drink more of it! Lol I'm gonna get the other half to pick some up from shopping tonight. xxx I'm not getting any pains at all right now. :/

Yeah it certainly does something! I even tried real raspberry leaves from the garden but the tea bags actually seem more effective. I'm also doing accupressure points so it could be the combination. I did the with my first and she came the next day but they've not been as effective this time!

She's here! Complicated birth....rushed to theatre where they wanted to give c section but I'm happy they tried forceps first and out she popped! Took around 7 hours. Knackered but feeling fresh after a shower, possibly home tomorrow. Have a lovely weekend everyone and good luck! Looking forward to more announcements :) xxx

Please can I join the party? I'm 40+6 and no sign of my baby boy! Went to hospital with contractions 3 mins apart yesterday just to be told I'm 2cm dilated with thick, slightly posterior cervix and to go home. All quiet today, not even a single Braxton. Tempted to order a juicer and juice a ton of pineapples! Third sweep tomorrow, might get lucky? ;)

Congratulations to all who's baby has finally arrived! Hope you're all doing well. I'm 40+3 with my 2nd. Had a sweep at 40+1 and today I walked the 1/2mile to centre of my town and back (with mother-in-law and DS as daren't have done it alone!). It's worked!
tmi alert Lost the mucus plug when returned home. Have lower back ache and mild contractions but nothing more yet.

Has anyone had a labour start in the middle of the night. With DS it was evening so I never went to sleep but I'm a little nervous about being woken with pains and then having a mad dash as we gather our senses and try not to wake the toddler.

Welcome TTT! Well done on your walk. I did similar today but nothing to show for it yet. I lost my (TMI) MP last week and still nothing 😭😭 So tonight I've been for a bumpy field drive was most uncomfy but hoping might have some luck from that!

I have had a pretty hellish week......first the traumatic 2hr labour. I came home the same day to my son who had a 2 day vomiting bug, then I caught it!! And now I have mastitis :( oh dear. I'm on antibiotics, still feeding but is excruciating. Thank god I got a lovely prize for all the crap I've had to deal with this week. And as I said to DH, it can only get a heck of a lot better!!

Oh no Sas what a Nightmare - hope things pick up soon! Xx
