Harry... can you do another pregnancy test? you'll see the decline in hormone... by the time I was bleeding my preg test was negative... if still strongly positive... just bleeding!

Loosemoose28 · 18/08/2017 23:20

@harryharry it could just be implantation. I have been feeling and loosing blood like you. All fine. EPU said unless bright red with a drip try not to worry. Some women bleed more than others.

Today is the first day I have lost nothing. Fingers crossed its made me so paranoid. X

HarryHarry · 19/08/2017 00:56

Lisa I did one today and it was positive though I'm not sure that means anything since the pregnancy hormone can take a while to disappear.

Loosemoose The blood was bright red yesterday morning (when I thought it was coming from the back, like from a tear or a hemorrhoid) and pinkish yesterday evening (when I thought it was coming from the front). It's very mysterious! But as I say I don't think there is any such thing as normal. I've read dozens of posts from women who said they spotted just a little before miscarrying and dozens of posts from women bled bright red clotted blood the whole way through with no problems so who knows what it means? I'm choosing to stay positive. Hope you are too!

Loosemoose28 · 19/08/2017 10:06

I dripped red twice last week. But next time I went to the loo was brown again.

Still really crampy when I wake up though.

Loosemoose28 · 19/08/2017 10:07

My sore boobs tell me im pregnant bra tight already!

ally62442 · 19/08/2017 10:32

I'm the same @Loosemoose28 my sore boobs are really kicking in this week! An being constantly tired and hungry!

lisara79 · 19/08/2017 10:38

my boobs have been horrendous for the last few days but woke up this morning with no sore boobs.... mixed that with a dark, but not as dark as Wednesday, pregnancy test and I had a major wobble.... This pregnant after a miscarriage is terrifying. Thankfully iv e had a word with myself... the fmu was very light and diluted (I had lots of water before bed), my boobs pain came back and a felt very sick... I also now have fluttering in my uterus. Anyone have any experience of varying colour preg tests? Lightening tests lines predicted my miscarriage last time but they were MUCH lighter.

@lisara79 my pregnancy symptoms come and go. Some times I don't know if I'm just too busy to even notice them. I did the one test that had a very faint line. But like you my wee was very diluted it was almost clear. I actually told myself don't bother testing with that but I did anyway. The next one I did after that with a bit of a hold was dark.

lisara79 · 19/08/2017 12:28

Thanks Ally... I just need to stop testing I think. I did another one afterwards and it was slightly darker so I think it's just concentration and cheap tests with slightly varying strips. I feel really sick right now so taking that as a positive!

IslingtonHels · 19/08/2017 20:40

@lisara79 it might be an idea to stop testing. Your scan is soon, right? Like I said, I had a negative at one point because my urine was so dilute. If you have those symptoms it's a really positive sign. I am worrying like crazy about the slightest pinching feeling, then worry if I don't feel sick...it's such an anxious time. I've decided not to use the tests anymore and hang on for my private scan just for my own sanity. I never knew the worst part of being pregnant would be the worry! Do you think you can resist the temptation to urine test then?

lisara79 · 19/08/2017 20:57

@islingtonhels iv e decided no more testing.... I'm seeing the midwife on the 30th and then will have the private scan the week after. It does seem like an age away and I'm sure I will have many wobbles... as I'm sure we all will... when is your scan?

IslingtonHels · 19/08/2017 21:33

@lisara79 my scan is the 29th... hopefully far enough along for a heartbeat. Having been diagnosed with GAD since the age of 18, the anxiety is at full-throttle. Making a pledge to Google less, distract myself more and know I cannot control what will happen. Glad you have your midwife appointment on the 30th, mine was such a positive experience and I hope yours will be too.

lisara79 · 19/08/2017 22:11

@islingtonhels this mist be so difficult to manage... it's hard enough being a general worrier without GAD... not too long to the scan... should be far enough along for a good heartbeat... supposed to start sometimes this week x

ScarletSienna · 20/08/2017 09:01

WWYD?
I'm 6 weeks today (going from opk rather than LMP as I had such long cycles). I was thinking of having an early scan at 7-8 weeks but as I am also planning on having either the Harmony or Panorama test at 10 weeks, which includes a scan in the price, I'm now thinking I should just wait to save the £70 on the early scan. I should just wait shouldn't I? If there was somewhere closer than an hour's drive I think I'd be tempted but that plus the cost is making me reconsider.

I have midwife booked for 10 weeks.

lisara79 · 20/08/2017 09:14

@scarletsienna I would wait but worry every day until the scan.

IslingtonHels · 20/08/2017 09:24

Hi @Scarletsienna, how are you doing? I as pretty sure my midwife said I would have blood tests for abnormalities at my 12 week scan, do you think that is the same thing? If so, do you get it on NHS at your 12 week scan? Might be worth checking. If that is the case then defo get the early scan.

ally62442 · 20/08/2017 09:36

What's everyone doing with regards to caffeine intake? I was a serial red bull drinker before pregnancy. Only the sugar free ones but still an energy boost. I don't drink them any more but I'm really struggling with tiredness! As in no amount of sleep is ever enough. An over the past two days I have had some locazade zero. Which I now feel bad about as I've been reading about caffeine intake and pregnancy and how it can lead to miscarriage. I have a friend who drinks nothing but coffee, and she continued to do some throughout both of her pregnancies and they both resulted in healthy babies.

lisara79 · 20/08/2017 10:04

@ally62442 i love coffee and tea but have reduced to 2 cups of tea a day... it has meant I'm tired but it hasn't been that tough. I think you're supposed to keep it under 200mg a day.

ScarletSienna · 20/08/2017 10:15

@IslingtonHels-I had the 12 week bloods done last time but this time want something more definitive as I keep reading about how at 35 your odds change massively. The NHS is going to offer Harmony free in a year or so as the current test isn't as accurate. I'm super anxious so I just want to know-if I got 1:350 I'd probably want the other test anyway. How are you doing? I definite will worry every day, Lisara. It's exhausting.

Re caffeine - none really (except odd Pepsi max!). But I don't drink tea, coffee so it isn't so tricky.

lisara79 · 20/08/2017 10:32

@scarletsienna DH and I were talking last night and we are thinking we may not do harmony or amneo... I weigh a lot and the Harmony teat is less effective the more you weigh and I don't think I could put up with the risks of the amino.... I guess it will depend on the risk.

IslingtonHels · 20/08/2017 12:02

@ScarletSienna I'm good thanks, it's my birthday, 38 today! Shock I didn't know about the 12 week bloods being less accurate. That is very good to know. So how many weeks do you typically have the Harmony/ Panorama at? Do you get both at once or do you only need one of the tests? Sorry for all the questions, I've never heard about these tests until this thread, my Midwife never mentioned them and none of my friends with kids have discussed. One thing I am sure is that I am definitely not having amino.
As for caffeine, I do love coke zero but cut it out completely. I've found redbush tea takes a bit of getting used to, but now I really like it. Also some of the good coffee houses do nice decaf, (although Starbucks I thought was gross!)

lisara79 · 20/08/2017 12:18

Aww @islingtonhels iv e been quiet enjoying my iced skinny de-caf latte... lol

ScarletSienna · 20/08/2017 13:30

I'm thinking more to have the panorama test (it's one of the other) but hadn't heard of it being weight dependent as it is done on bloods. The clinic have sent through the details - I still need to read up more. I won't have an amnio either as couldn't risk it.

ScarletSienna · 20/08/2017 13:32

I guess it will be baby to Mum ration of blood that could mean weight affects it so the more blood the more it dilutes maybe.
