That's super organised then. I think I'll make a midwife appointment after my early scan. I'm having to have my scan for medical reasons anyway. I think it will sink in a little more then after that scan. Atleast with having an early scan at 7 weeks and then your normally one at 12 you want have had as log to wait. Even though five weeks will feel like forever. I know the 6 weeks between mine will.

Loosemoose28 · 17/08/2017 10:30

5 weeks today.
Will tell doctor when 6 weeks and then midwife will book in 8-10weeks for first appointment.

lisara79 · 17/08/2017 11:43

I'm waiting until after 6 weeks (Saturday!) to call doc... I think it's week 7 or 8 to see midwife.

IslingtonHels · 17/08/2017 12:13

@lisara79 glad to hear you have been sick, ha ha! I woke up this morning with no pregnancy symptoms and worked myself into a state, was trying not to cry on my journey into work. I've got an early scan booked in for 29th but it still seems to be an eternity to wait. You and I are both 6 weeks on Saturday, I feel that's a bit of a milestone, according to Baby Bump app it will be a blueberry by Monday! Grin

lisara79 · 17/08/2017 12:30

Hi @islingtonhels I had a wobble yesterday but feel much better today... I think this reassurance and then worry is going to go on until the end! I'm hoping that I'll get more confident as we go through... We're in this together!!

Myalterego1 · 17/08/2017 13:51

Well epu rang today and gave me an appointment for tue 29th @8.30 am will be exactly 6wks that day so have everything crossed that everything is where it should be it's going to feel like an eternity waiting till then so funny it's the first morning of my dd1 heading off to secondary school 🤣

IslingtonHels · 17/08/2017 14:11

Ooh @Myalterego1 we have our first scans on the same day.
@Lisara79 It's nice to know we are in this together. As we are exactly the same number of days pregnant it will be interesting to compare notes!

Myalterego1 · 17/08/2017 14:21

@IslingtonHels just seen that it's going to feel like an eternity but I can't wait I think I might actually relax once get all clear that day and c everything in right place

lisara79 · 17/08/2017 14:36

Myalterego1 · 17/08/2017 14:42

@lisara79 fingers crossed it will be worth the wait (I'm so bad at waiting for this 😂

IslingtonHels · 17/08/2017 15:23

@lisara79 I loved my midwife appointment, it was really interesting. I didn't really know much about the midwife's role in the pregnancy until my meeting but I'm so glad to have her now!

ally62442 · 17/08/2017 16:26

@Myalterego1 my scan 1st will be at exactly 6 weeks too. I'm hoping to see a little flicker of a heart beat.

WineAndTiramisu · 17/08/2017 16:27

What is it with the left sided ache/pain, it seems we all have it!

ally62442 · 17/08/2017 16:27

I meant my first scan*

MrsLadyL · 17/08/2017 16:37

Myalterego1 · 17/08/2017 16:54

Loosemoose28 · 17/08/2017 17:01

Turning into a basket case I swear!!!

Woke up this morning. Wet Brown on wiping sorry if TMI. Didnt really feel pregnant at all.

Now boobs hurt again. Feel dizzy and sick.
Repeat HCG today- will get results fri or sat morning.

FairfaxAikman · 17/08/2017 17:44

My first appointment isn't till September 12, by which time I'll be almost 9 weeks.

lisara79 · 17/08/2017 18:08

I just rang doc about my prescription (I have high blood pressire) and managed to change my appointment to 30th August! I feel better about That!

FairfaxAikman · 17/08/2017 19:51

I've just had a particularly painful cramp/ stabbing pain.

Should I be worried?

lisara79 · 17/08/2017 21:27

Where was the pain Fairfax? Could it be trapped wind? If not, Maybe give epu or doc a ring x

ally62442 · 17/08/2017 21:28

@Myalterego1 That will be lovely for him then. I'm taking my mum and my fella with me to mine. Want to him to feel involved as im pretty sure it will seem more real for him once he's seen that little bean.

I wouldn't worry too much @FairfaxAikman as long as it's not persistent. Just keep an eye on it. Everything is stretching to make room.

My mums a midwife, so I'm going to ask her tomorrow how I go about making my midwife appointments etc.

FourForYouGlenCoco · 17/08/2017 22:29

Hi all - I wasn't on the august bus, but is it ok if I join the thread? The 'official' April 2018 one is sooo busy and has so many people its hard to keep up, plus lots of them are due much earlier on in the month so seem loads further ahead while it's still such early days! You all seem to be more towards the middle/end of august Smile
I'm due April 22nd, got bfp last fri. Am 4+4 today. This will hopefully be baby number 3 but is pregnancy number 6 (mmc, DD (5), mmc, mc, DS (1)) so I'm pretty nervous right now. Currently just keeping busy and trying not to think too much about it - we're off on holiday tomorrow so that should be a nice distraction. Keep telling myself that there's very little that can dislodge a healthy foetus - they're incredibly resilient!

FourForYouGlenCoco · 17/08/2017 22:30

Oh and I also have lots of left sided pain - so glad it's not just me. Was also worrying a bit about ectopic!
