@lisara79 try not to panic Hun. I no it's easier said than done. But I did a test the other day and I knew I shouldn't as my wee was like water as I'd been drinking water all day and I'd not long been the toilet previously. So the test line was so faint. I did another later on and it was mega bright.

I might be wrong but I'm not sure if the clear blue show any further than 2-3 weeks. I'm probably wrong.

ally62442 · 16/08/2017 07:41

I'm wrong I just googled it.

lisara79 · 16/08/2017 08:18

Thanks @ally62442 I've calmed down a bit now... I'll see where I am tomorrow and maybe just get a couple more cheapies to put my mind at rest...

charlie0692 · 16/08/2017 09:46

Panicking today, for the last 2 nights I have woken up in the middle of the night with really intense pains, they go after about 20 mins, also really hot and sweaty. no sign of blood though which is my only reassurance at the min. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? This is my first pregnancy so feel like I'm completely in the dark as to what I should and shouldn't be feeling right now 😔 x

MrsLadyL · 16/08/2017 11:09

No the clearblue only go 2-3 weeks 😊

Myalterego1 · 16/08/2017 12:39

So to update rand doc for blood result and at 282 which is exactly double in 24 hours so looking good just get to wait to hear from epu for early scan

Myalterego1 · 16/08/2017 12:40

*rang not rand 😏 so excited but still so nervous and worried

lisara79 · 16/08/2017 12:55

All sounding good @myalterego1

Shanners123 · 16/08/2017 14:33

Charlie I'm getting alot of abdominal pain through the day atm.. Not severe, but dull aches which come and go. Occasionally every now and then it's more sharp. But I'm putting these down as stretching pains, which yours may be too. If it becomes more frequent or stronger in terms of pain I would ring your GP. Also put your hot flushes down to pregnancy.. I go from boiling to freezing in the blink of an eye!

charlie0692 · 16/08/2017 14:57

Thank you @Shanners123 I don't seem to be having pain through the day it's just the last few nights it's woke me up it's been so bad. I have an appointment with the midwife tomorrow so may mention it to her and see what she says. As you said it most probably is just scratching pains (well hoping it is anyway!) x

ScarletSienna · 16/08/2017 15:28

I'm glad to have you all to share these things with as I'm feeling similar pains. @Shanners123 mine are very similar to yours. I'm trying to keep my anxiety in check and stop googling ectopic pregnancy. I'm not 6 weeks until Sunday but I think if by Monday I feel the same I'll call the GP.

Shanners123 · 16/08/2017 16:22

Yep, ectopic is at the forefront of my panicked mind too but when I mentioned the pains to the GP on Monday she said that was completely normal and expected at this stage, so not to worry. She did say that if they got considerably worse or there was bleeding to get in touch, so its a matter of monitoring the aches/pains and getting professional advice if it starts to escalate. Fx we're all just worried! (and on that note does the worrying ever end?! 😂)

Shanners123 · 16/08/2017 16:24

I meant.. Fx we're all just worriers!

OP posts:
ScarletSienna · 16/08/2017 16:34

Does the worrying ever end...no! When I miscarried, they initially thought there was a chance it was ectopic and I very quickly had bloods and a scan done. Glad you asked your doctor!

Loosemoose28 · 16/08/2017 18:05

So EPU scan showed a egg sac - yay.

Hcg being repeated tomo. I think the pain I am feeling is from scar adhesions from surgery inJuly and that free fluid was seen in pelvis. 90% sure they have rulled out ectopic thank god.

@Shanners of course everyone is different but my ectopic felt like a burning poker trying to poke out my pelvis where I would image my ovary to be I could 100% pin point it to the I also had prune juice type bleeding.

Im getting loads of pulling, what I could describe tibgly as warm cramps and twinges and my gosh my boobs are so tender even a shower hurts if the jet gets a nipple. I also feel like AF may appear right away and then it stops.

And I have gagged twice but not actually been sick today.

ScarletSienna · 16/08/2017 18:09

Ah yay Loosemoose! Great news. When I had a very early scan last time, the foetal pole was seen only a few days after the yolk sac.

I'm getting lots of pulling and it's that it is more on my left that worries me.

IslingtonHels · 16/08/2017 19:34

@Loosemoose28 that's great news!

@lisara79 please try not to worry, I took a clearblue and it was positive. 2 days later I went to the doctor and the test was negative, he told me I wasn't pregnant. Then I took another test first thing in the morning and it was definitely positive. The time of day you test and the amount you have drunk makes a big difference. Please keep us posted.
@Charlie0692, I'm the same as you, @Shanners123 and ScarletSienna. Had abdominal pains and also sudden really hot flushes, been woken up by hot flushes in the night. My first pregnancy and I am worrying about absolutely everything (I also have generalised anxiety disorder) so I totally empathise. It's the unknown and lack of control over my body that is scary. I managed to convince myself I had toxoplasmosis the other day! It makes me feel better to know we are all having similar thoughts.

ally62442 · 16/08/2017 20:25

Great news @Loosemoose28

lisara79 · 17/08/2017 07:49

Great News Loose... Thanks all. iv e just been sick! I never thought I'd be happy to say that! lol.

FairfaxAikman · 17/08/2017 09:06

Five weeks bang on today and still feel fine.

Shanners123 · 17/08/2017 09:41

Thanks @loosemoose.. That's scary but equally good to know for comparison. Congrats on the scan ☺️ how many weeks are you?

@scarlettsienna my aches etc are mostly left sided too

@Islington yep, we're all worriers together 😂

ally62442 · 17/08/2017 09:55

I'm 5 weeks one day today. Was so chuffed yesterday to see my picture change of what my baby should look like in my app. Less than a week now till my early scan.

charlie0692 · 17/08/2017 09:58

Hey @ally62442 Im also counting down the days to our early scan (feels like this week is going on forever!). I have mine a week today. Got our first midwife appointment in about an hour, can't wait!

ally62442 · 17/08/2017 10:17

How many weeks will you be at your scan @charlie0692? I'm not sure when I'm meant to be making an appointment with a midwife.

charlie0692 · 17/08/2017 10:23

I will be 7w1d at the first scan @ally62442 . I rang the doctors when I found out I was pregnant expecting to have to go in and have tests to confirm it but she just said that the midwife would be in touch with an appointment. She come back to me later that same day and booked the appointment for today. I'm 6w1d and seems early compared to what I've read, most seem to go around 8/9 weeks. Also had a letter from the hospital with a date for our 12week scan, but that seemed way too far off so we booked the early scan for next week ☺ x
