Congratulations Wine!

Early scans are great after 6 weeks (until then there won't be a heart beat so you may then want another). I'm also going to have the Harmony or Panorama test as I'm in my mid 30s. I'm trying to wait until 7/8 weeks for early scan but I'm so nervous I'm starting to consider 6.5 weeks!

lisara79 · 14/08/2017 07:38

Morning All.... Wine, I'm still straddling the boards... I'm still on the conception thread (been there for 6 months so don't want to give it up yet).

I'm thinking of an early scan at week 8/9... it's my birthday that week.

I've been thinking about the harmony tests although it appears that if have to travel quite a way to have one... also, I'm quite heavy and the tests become less accurate the heavier you get... but it might still be worth it... the invasive tests terrify me.

Congratulations @WineAndTiramisu another name I recognise from the August bus it was definitely a lucky one!

I'm still flicking between the two threads as well @lisara79 I like to see if there's been more BFPs. So just being nosy really.

I was up late again last night my brain wouldn't switch off. I was you tubing 6 week scans. I wouldn't be having one this early if it wasn't for medical reasons. Does any one have previous experience with having to inject clexane?

ScarletSienna · 14/08/2017 08:22

At 6 weeks they'll definitely be able to see something so enjoy the scan. Just looked back at my diary and I did see at heart beat at 6 weeks but not sure if it was exactly 6 weeks or 6+ something

ally62442 · 14/08/2017 08:42

@ScarletSienna I'm going to try and not get too worked up if they don't see a heart beat. I've just got to keep telling myself that it will be too early. An then they will hopefully book me in for the week after and there it will be.

ScarletSienna · 14/08/2017 08:58

Exactly and then you get two looks which is a positive!

charlie0692 · 14/08/2017 10:13

Looks like I spoke too soon when I said I never had any symptoms. Woke up this morning feeling awfully nauseous, and just been sick a couple of times 😩 anyone else feeling this way?

ScarletSienna · 14/08/2017 10:47

No symptoms still here. Wish I did!

MrsLadyL · 14/08/2017 13:39

I feel dizzy, headaches starving but stuffed? 😂

lisara79 · 14/08/2017 14:10

I seemed to have acquired dizziness today... along with extreme tiredness... feel like I've been hit by a bus!

charlie0692 · 14/08/2017 14:12

@MrsLadyL I was the same a few days ago, felt like my stomach was really bloated all the time. Every time I go to eat something today, or even smell food it makes me want to throw up x

MrsLadyL · 14/08/2017 15:00

Yea I feel so bloated haha. Just got my first appointments arranged also aaahhh this is actually happening X

charlie0692 · 14/08/2017 15:14

I felt like that when I had a letter through for the midwife consultation and the 12 week scan. It's all starting to feel so real. We have the midwife appointment on Thursday, and booked a private scan a week Saturday as the 12 week scan seems so far away x

lisara79 · 14/08/2017 15:55

I can't wait to make appointments... I need to ring later this week or early next week to book midwife appointment for the week after as that will be week 7... seems as age away... I will then book a scan for 2 weeks after that so that there are only 3 weeks until 12 week scan... all sounds reasonable lol... but you know what they say about best laid plans however...

CaffeineBomb · 14/08/2017 17:13

Hi everyone can I jump in? I'm due around 11th April with dc2 and have booked an early scan for when I'm 8 weeks. Hopefully that means I can avoid the internal scan this time around

Loosemoose28 · 14/08/2017 17:52

Waves

Can I join. I was on the August bus. Been really crampy and some heavy spotting.
Have scan next week due to my history. Despite the spotting I feel really pregnant. Boobs hurt. Weeing almost every two hours. On/ off nausea and hyper-saliva. So hoping we are all ok. Did not get this with ectopic but did have a short period that then went onto the weird "ribena/ prune juice" bleeding that is typically described. So maybe bleeding normal for me?

Due 18th April.

Loosemoose28 · 14/08/2017 17:53

Also my POAS is really bright and obvious and my ectopic wasn't a clear one.

Loosemoose28 · 14/08/2017 18:06

@lilygreen.

Call early pregnancy and ask their advice with previous ectopic. I was told to call soon as positive test and missed period.

I have got two friends with previous ectopics and they both had scans 6-7weeks.

lisara79 · 14/08/2017 21:58

Having cramps in my thigh, a little bit like the pains I get with my period, is this something I should worry about?

ally62442 · 14/08/2017 22:14

I wouldn't think so @lisara79. From what I've read early pregnancy symptoms are pretty much exactly the same as period symptoms.

ally62442 · 14/08/2017 22:15

Hi @CaffeineBomb did you have a bad experience with an internal scan? I only ask as I'm having to have one.

Loosemoose28 · 14/08/2017 22:27

I have had three internals for various reasons. They are fine. Just put a pad in for after(ky jelly feels slimey) and pee before hand.

Try keep inside thighys relaxed and other than that it was fine.

CaffeineBomb · 14/08/2017 22:34

Oh no it wasn't bad at all. Just preferred the external one (I'm really self conscious) but it was fine just relax and take some baby wipes to clean up after

ally62442 · 14/08/2017 22:47

That's gd then. I was worried for a moment. I'd prefer not to have one but with being so early I think it's going to be the option they choose at the hospital. Think they will have a better view that way.

CaffeineBomb · 14/08/2017 23:05

Ally I just saw you asked about experience of injecting clexane. None before but I'm having to this pregnancy if you need to discuss
