thanks @charlie0692... lovely picture for so early.... I hope I'll have one to share tomorrow x

HarryHarry · 10/09/2017 02:30

Loosemoose I've just come back from Ireland and I inquired about this while I was there. I'm not sure if it's the same everywhere but the local EPU at a good hospital in the (Irish) Midlands would only accept people who had been referred by their GP. They also only opened on certain days of the week so they were very busy.

Loving all the scan pictures ladies!! It so exciting!

Roxx1516 · 10/09/2017 10:01

I'm 11 weeks today, that was an early scan pic, is anyone else due start of April ?? X

Sorry for being away a bit, I had a cold over the last week and combined with nausea/actually being sick it's taken its toll!

@PGTips83 I'm not homesick but I do miss how straightforward everything is back home! It's more a case of the blind leading the blind out here! What are the maternity packages like where you guys are (@Teeeee @HarryHarry @PGTips83)?? We only get 50 days here sadly.

Had an early scan today 7+4, we got to hear the heartbeat which was fantastic, the picture was rather obscure but the Ob/Gyn was happy so can't ask for much more!

@WineAndTiramisu and @charlie0692 lovely pictures guys! I'm hoping the tiredness/nausea can go so we can start enjoying being pregnant.

@julia02 if it's ultrasound then you're fine

@lisara79 🍀🍀 for the scan today!

WonderfullySunny · 10/09/2017 12:56

Ah balls....sorry for the link fail there guys! Lesson do not go back and forth between post writing and the thread!

lisara79 · 10/09/2017 13:04

So... scan was great. I'm a few days behind where I thought and photos are rubbish as it seems I have a tilted uterus but there is a baby with a heart beat in there... dates showing as 8+4, I thought 9+1, but she thinks that's ok. Couldn't hear heartbeat but it was there and perfect. Really happy... there is also a possibility that there are two of them as there is something behind the sack but it's most likely a blood sack thing...

Congratulations on your scans everyone. Wonderfullysunny I actually can't work out here because of language requirements so I have no idea about maternity pay/leave but I believe they're nowhere near as good as back home 😔

jcsc · 10/09/2017 14:48

I love seeing everyone's scan photos. It's so magical isn't it. My pregnancy symptoms seen to have worn off the last few days. From falling asleep on the sofa to now having a burst of energy and only flagging at about 7pm.
I have another scan booked for tomorrow as I'm a bit paranoid due to the symptoms going a bit - has anyone else had this ?

jcsc · 10/09/2017 14:50

This is my scan from last week.

lisara79 · 10/09/2017 15:24

Your scan is much clearer @jcsca

julia02 · 10/09/2017 15:29

Thx @wonderfullysunny.
Hope, you're doing well. Today I got a back pain and my sunday is going to be rest all day 😍😍

jcsc · 10/09/2017 18:40

Wonder if there is another bubba on your scan @lisara79 I can see something behind the other one

FourForYouGlenCoco · 10/09/2017 18:43

Great scan jcsc! Hope scan goes well - my symptoms also come and go, woke up yesterday morning feeling totally normal and spent the evening feeling dreadful to make up for it.
lisa glad your scan went well! I think a retroverted uterus can make it much harder to see clearly - imagine if a secret little twin appears at 12w scan!

Symptoms still going strong here, got to try and sort a scan tomorrow for the weekend. And also found out today that my lovely friend (who has a DS a month younger than my DS) is also pg again, a few weeks behind me! We can do it together again Smile this will be totally outing if she happens to read it, haha!
Next week when my big one is at school MUST be spent sorting out & decluttering...the Stuff is getting out of control, need to keep on top of it if we're going to squeeze another one in our house...just can't be bothered to do it! Wahhh Sad wish Marie Kondo would come and clear my house out for me!

jcsc · 10/09/2017 18:50

Thanks @FourForYouGlenCoco, I'm paranoid that my symptoms have vanished it means it's all gone pear shaped. I need to step away from google!
Ahhh my house needs de cluttering too. My youngest has only just turned 1 and the size of the baby toys are ridiculous. My elder 2 just leave their junk lying around all over the place. I think I need a bigger house as squeezing 2 more children in here is unlikely 😮
Ah how lovely you get to experience pregnancy at the same time as your friend 😀

Loosemoose28 · 10/09/2017 18:52

Here was the best pic I could get from 7+4

Was clearer and bigger on the screen. For now "he" is called Spike as named by my sister Grin

@Loosemoose28 I love the nickname 😁

lisara79 · 10/09/2017 23:42

@fourforyouglencoco and @jcsc Thanks guys although I'm not sure twins is a great plan lol... I'm already old and fat so have enough risks... I'll be happy with just one little bean x

Teeeee · 11/09/2017 00:26

Such lovely scans everyone. So sweet!

@WonderfullySunny I'm having a very similar time to you preggers-symptoms-wise ergh! So wanting to get past this phase.
Maternity rights are actually super great here, though I work part time as I also do artsy things as well (that doesn't so much earn me any money) so I wont get lots because its relative to my earnings, but I will get a year paid if I choose to take it. The infrastructure here is super child and family friendly which def makes staying incredibly tempting. Starting a family does focus the mind though, thinking about grandparents and being near family. So in spite of all that, still thinking about returning. Hmm

WonderfullySunny · 11/09/2017 16:56

@Teeeee just seen your thread Winkwholeheartedly agree, it does seem there is some sort of conspiracy going on where women who have been through this already make light of this stage as if it's a breeze. Why?! People at work keep saying how tired I look and am I not feeling well? The didn't sleep well line keeps getting trotted out whilst inwardly grinding my teeth. Fingers firmly crossed this 'I don't want to eat anything, left it too long so now really feeling sick, oh you just ate you monster well let's get rid of that shall we' phase departs soon.

WonderfullySunny · 11/09/2017 17:02

Realise this may well just be me but does anyone else ever seen pictures/objects/faces in ultrasound scans? I've google it and apparently it's called pareidolia....

Currently on my way to our private scan. 7 weeks today. Feeling nervous and excited.

jcsc · 11/09/2017 19:30

@Ashleigh1989 how was you scan ?

Ashleigh1989 · 11/09/2017 20:21
