You guys bumps are so cute! Ahhh I'm so jealous, @missonhartbaby you have the most perfect bump picture there!

mrsjkerry · 02/09/2017 20:41

@ew1990 that's exactly what I heard today! Stretch marks can come when your skin says back after baby is out!!!

@Missonhartbaby your bump is so lovely! I just feel like mine isn't very bumpy and yours are all much rounder and more pregnanty than mine. I'm 30 weeks!

ew1990 · 02/09/2017 20:50

@mrsjkerry are you 30 weeks today? X

Bobbiepin · 02/09/2017 20:54

Hang on, stretch marks after the baby is born. How does that work?

mrsjkerry · 02/09/2017 21:51

No...I am 30+3.

@lydiangel83 I'm using Weleda stretch mark oil, I love the smell. No marks yet but still a while to go! Also glad im not alone with the insomnia, it sucks.

Everyone's bumps are lovely, have loved seeing everyone journeys from BFP to these lovely tums

mrsjkerry · 03/09/2017 08:06

@Bobbiepin have a read of this. I've no idea really. Maybe it's the skin breathing a sigh of relief or something.

That sucks! Keep up the tummy butter until a couple of weeks PP then.

Missonhartbaby · 03/09/2017 11:53

Aw thank you ladies!!! That's so nice of you all! Midwife says it's literally all baby and no excess waters so I think that's why it's so 'bump' like!
I love all the baby bumps! So lush

Hopeful2102 · 03/09/2017 13:56

Guys I have a quick question so I would be 5/6 weeks pregnant going from LMP but then when looking at a week tor week calendar would I look 2 weeks behind so would I look at 4 weeks pregnant since they add two weeks? I don't know if I've explained that well ...

mrsjkerry · 03/09/2017 14:04

By the time you've missed your period you are already 4 weeks pregnant I believe.

ew1990 · 03/09/2017 14:45

@Hopeful2102 no you would look at weeks 5/6 xx

Bobbiepin · 03/09/2017 18:18

Little bit late to the party but here's my 32+3 bump. I'm starting to lose track of weeks. Thought I was 33 already earlier this week, gutted when I realised!

ValentineFizz · 03/09/2017 18:55

Hi girls I hope everyone is well, l am loving these gorgeous bump photos 😀

I've been using Bepanthen stretch mark cream and none to report yet but time will tell, it literally all is bump, l haven't put on anywhere else (yet)! 😊

All's good here, bump coming on nicely as you can see from today's photo but baby did measure at the top end of growth curve at 28 week growth scan so I've to go for the glucose test on Wednesday 🙄

Other than that I can't believe how fast time is going now 😆

TheLionQueen1 · 03/09/2017 20:17

Damn you all still able to wear your rings 😂 I had to give up on my wedding/engagement ring weeks ago as finger swollen too much!!

mrsjkerry · 03/09/2017 21:27

@TheLionQueen1 my fingers also swollen and rings becoming problematic ...!

Ow MrsJ that looks painful! I've bought some cheapy replacements as hate not wearing them but they turned my fingers green so have given up!!

Bobbiepin · 03/09/2017 22:21

Literally only wearing my rings because I can't take them off!! Didn't realise until it was too late.

ew1990 · 03/09/2017 22:27

@MSH2010 & @MistyBxx how are you ladies doing?

MSH2010 · 04/09/2017 09:55

I'm ok. Not going to lie it's an emotional rollercoaster and I just want to take my babies home 😭 getting no support from the hospital to get them off their tube feeds.

Squigglefish · 04/09/2017 12:36

My wedding rings don't fit at all, do.you think it's water weight or actual weight gain? I can't tell!

fluffyunicorntails · 04/09/2017 13:54

Hi Everyone, Im new to mumsnet so please be kind Smile I got my BFP on 30th August (3 days before my AF was due) using a Clear Blue Digital with weeks indicator, and i retested on 2nd September using the Clear Blue and a cheap-y Asda test and got positive on both (the Asda one was a very faint positive though, which has me worried). So right now I am 4 weeks +3 days. I have loads of questions, as this is the first time I have ever tested positive so if any of you can help me by sharing your experience that would be amazing Smile:

  • Once you had your BFP did you keep testing? Or just accept that you are pregnant (I'm worried about Chemical Pregnancy - how common is it?)
  • Once you had your BFP how soon did you call and go and see your GP?
  • Im due to travel for work the first week of October, to the US, the would make me 8 weeks - is it safe to travel at that time?
  • How common is morning sickness and when to people typically get it - I'm worried I'm going to be sick when I'm away with work and not able to hide it!
  • How early did people tell their employer?
  • Has anyone done a private early scan (at around 6 weeks)? As you can probably tell....Im a worrier and thought it might put my mind at rest!
  • Im not getting as many pregnancy symptoms at the moment, I did have sore boobs, cramps, really sore lower back (no bleeding or spotting of any kind), weird crazy dreams, heightened sense of smell and tiredness but in the last day or two my cramps and back ache have now gone...is this usual?

Sorry for all of the questions but if anyone can help that would be amazing - I have no one else to ask! Blush Thank you!! Grin

Missonhartbaby · 04/09/2017 15:21

@MSH2010 I really feel for you but just stay strong, they'll be home and healthy before you know it! Have they said anything about when they can come home etc yet?

Hopeful2102 · 04/09/2017 15:34

Hi @fluffyunicorntails! I'm new here too and these ladies have been very helpful.

I got my BFP on the 27th August! & took another 3 tests over the next week partly I think because it wasn't sinking in lol

I told my doctor two days later over the phone although he didn't seem in a rush to book me for an appointment just said he would do my referral to the midwife, asked about any previous pregnancies & whether I was taking folic acid. I've had no sickness little bits of nausea from certain smells but no actual vomiting. I'm not really sure when to tell my employer if I'm honest. I'm considering a private scan in a few weeks, apparently you can't see much on a scan at 6 weeks. My symptoms have come and gone the week I was expecting my period my boobs were swollen and tender, I had nausea and could smell everything, cramps a bit of backache, fatigue, but that died down pretty quickly. Although I still have fatigue, my breasts are still tender but not swollen (this also comes and goes) and I've been having crazy dreams this week too! And I definitely don't cramp as much although sometimes I do feel like my uterus is tender like it's full... its hard to describe.

Congratulations and welcome :)

ew1990 · 04/09/2017 16:21

@MSH2010 hopefully you will be home soon.

@fluffyunicorntails I told my boss straight away but I work in a hospital so had to because of moving patients and that, I had a scan at 6+5 coz of pain and I could see a heartbeat but baby just looked like a blob (I'll attach a picture) I told my doctor and he told me to go to reception and book in with midwife for when I thought I was 8 weeks - but every area is different
