@Bobbiepin I left work at around 1ish and went home and slept for a couple of hours, just having a brew then gunna get back in bed, I just felt exhausted - do you know when your that tired you don't feel like your in your own body? Thanks for asking x

Squigglefish · 30/08/2017 00:02

@ew1990 are you Ok?

Squigglefish · 30/08/2017 00:04

Sorry I've seen your update above. My phone is always slow updating. Hope you're feeling better in the morning x

Hopeful2102 · 30/08/2017 01:51

Does everyone's symptoms come and go or is it just me, I'm still very early in and if I'm quite honest I don't think it has sunk in that I'm pregnant yet

ScotsLamb · 30/08/2017 07:11

hopeful my symptoms came and went until about 8 weeks when Hypermesis kicked in. It went at 20 weeks and I had no symptoms. I now have regularly movements at 23 weeks.
I am only just believing I'm pregnant now and still sit looking at my tummy as I feel movements thinking "there is something in there. This is cool/weird". It takes time I think. How is your pregnancy going?

Hopeful2102 · 30/08/2017 08:05

@scotslamb last week - week of missed period- everything was really strong, sense of smell, achy swollen boobs, nausea, fatigue, backache, mood swings, cramps & pulling. This week boobs feel almost normal apart from sore nipples and a little bit of fatigue in the afternoon & a few cramps. Not sure what to make of it, I just hope everything is okay.

Bobbiepin · 30/08/2017 08:18

@ew1990 you poor thing, I'm glad you went home though, you need to look after yourself. Are you going to work today?

lydiangel83 · 30/08/2017 08:23

Glad you went home @ew1990

@Hopeful2102 I'm 31 wks today and many days I feel like it hasn't sunk in that I'm pregnant yet!

ew1990 · 30/08/2017 11:12

@Bobbiepin It's my day off today so I'm having an easy day - I thought the first trimester was tiring but bloody hell im more tired now than I was then

lydiangel83 · 30/08/2017 12:11

I can see why second trimester is the honeymoon one - symptoms of first and third are not much fun!

Missonhartbaby · 30/08/2017 12:38

Hiya, anyone in iron tablets? I've just been prescribed some as my iron levels were low, it's ferrous fumarate... I've only taken one so far today and already feel super nauseous... Does this go away at all? She did warn me and say it may make me feel sick but I'm not sure I can cope with this feeling for the next 7 weeks!

ew1990 · 30/08/2017 12:40

@Missonhartbaby I used to be on them a few years ago, made me feel sick too and I must warn you they turn your poo black!

Missonhartbaby · 30/08/2017 12:47

@ew Oh wow, Il look forward to that Grin
Il have to see how I go with them, she did say there's another version I can take if don't get on with these ones so we'll see, I can't cope with constant nausea and I've been so lucky in this pregnancy to not have it much at all!

Hopeful2102 · 30/08/2017 13:23

How do you know your hcg is increasing or doubling?

Bobbiepin · 30/08/2017 13:26

@missionhartbaby you should get used to the nausea but if it doesn't go away after a week or so ask for ferrous sulphate, its a little easier on the stomach. You'll get some pretty vivid dreams, if you aren't already.

@ew1990 good! Try to nap today too. I know what you mean, third trimester is exhausting but it'll be over soon and then we'll all be exhausted with the fourth trimester.

Bobbiepin · 30/08/2017 13:28

@hopeful its not something you know about at home. If your levels are increasing the line on a test will get darker but that's about it. You need to go to a doctor to test for that.

If you are testing, remember to use your first morning urine as this will have the highest hcg levels of the day.

Hopeful2102 · 30/08/2017 15:11

@bobbiepin my lines were quite dark day one, can't really get any darker will post a pic

Hopeful2102 · 30/08/2017 15:13

The one on the right is one I have taken today the other 3 have been over the past couple of days but can't remember the order. Guess I should have marked them.

@Hopeful2102 I really wouldn't be worrying about the darkness of the pregnancy tests. I know it's hard to do - I took a test like everyday! - but you'll just stress yourself out. You're definitely pregnant! Make an appointment with your doctor and sit tight!!! 😊

Hopeful2102 · 30/08/2017 17:30

@Mrsjkerry I told my doctor yesterday & just picked up my folic acid today he said he'd make my referral to the midwife so I guess it's just a waiting game. I'm so impatient lol

Bobbiepin · 30/08/2017 17:34

Oh yeah, you're pregnant! Congratulations! Its tough at the start because not much happens and you don't really feel any different for a while. To be honest, make the most of it. First trimester is tough so get some rest and look after yourself.

Hopeful2102 · 30/08/2017 18:30

@bobbiepin yeah that's what I mean last week I felt so much different this week not so much & that makes me panic even though I keep reading my body is just getting used to the hormone increase. Do feel really tired today though woke up late afternoon walked to the pharmacy and now I'm back in bed lol

Whatever I read here I enjoy due to the fact that I find it so helpful even through my journey.
It's not easy being the very 1st one

Missonhartbaby · 30/08/2017 21:06

@bobbiepin Yea I'm hoping Il just get used to it/itl just ease off. And itl be good to not be so tired all the time!!!
@hopeful Your def pregnant, congrats! I found it so weird at the start that no one actually checked if I was pregnant... Like they just take your word for it until the 12 week scan! But pregnancy tests are so good nowadays so they aren't lying to you... I was also known to take one every now and then though just to make sure! Haha
