That's pretty good for 30+3, and if its an old injury rather than pregnancy specific that's amazing. Sciatica put me out early but I'm still doing yoga. Will finish next week as I don't think I'll have the energy when I go back to work.

TheLionQueen1 · 25/08/2017 23:14

Yes to chub rub Bobbie!!! I'm the same am living in dresses and skirts so have bought some glide cream for chaffing and it's bloody amazing and last all day! I used to use baby powder and have tried deodorant and Vaseline but nothing lasts like this does!

I've just remembered a dream/nightmare I had last night abou my brother in laws (both big, messy farmers) moaning that there was no roll on deodorant in the house for their legs. That was not a pretty dream!

Bobbiepin · 26/08/2017 11:43

@lionqueen that sounds amazing, I'll definitely order some! Thank you!

@scotslamb that's hilarious. The vivid dreams are so odd aren't they?

NC1990 · 26/08/2017 15:56

I haven't posted in a little while so hope everyone is well (as well as you can be when you're cooking a basketball anyway). I've finally been referred for physio for my bad back, hoping that helps a bit. Having to use PMI through work as NHS waiting list is just too long.

We picked up our pram today, I'm only 28 weeks so still ages till we can use it but we were in John Lewis so figured we might as well. It's a hit with the dog already, guarding it for his wee sis!

Lovely pram NC1990.
All well here. Baby was not doing as much wriggling today but seems to be happier tonight. Struggling with cramp at night as well as heartburn when I've not eaten anything after a couple of hours but 23 weeks today so only one week until the next milestone and time is whizzing in. 20 week scan feels like last week!

Bobbiepin · 28/08/2017 16:06

How's everyone doing with the heat today?

lydiangel83 · 28/08/2017 16:32

Fine in the heat but hip really hurting :( it's an old injury that's flared up from too much walking I guess. So frustrating :-/

TheLionQueen1 · 28/08/2017 18:36

I'm good with the heat too but have got a stinking cold and incredibly swollen/sore feet and knees!! Definitely waddling now!!

Bobbiepin · 28/08/2017 19:33

Oh dear @lydiangel, is there anything you can do? Do you have a foam roller? They are quite good.

@lionqueen my feet have swollen up too. Normally they aren't as bad as my hands (proper sausage fingers atm) but they've puffed up today. I'm so thankful for flip flops!

TheLionQueen1 · 28/08/2017 19:35

My hands only do it really rarely Bobbie so am lucky as that feels horrible!!

I struggle with shoes for work, I can't really wear flip flops as I drive so much and don't like wearing them on the motorway!

lydiangel83 · 28/08/2017 20:22

I'm definitely waddling due to back pain! @Bobbiepin I do have a foam roller but have always hated using it! May have to get over it tho as physio said I'm meant to be doing it. Hard to roll my thighs without belly dragging along the floor these days though!

Squigglefish · 28/08/2017 21:06

Yes to the chub rub! All my weight gain has been on my thighs.
How soon before your due dates will you have your hospital bags packed? I have 9 weeks to go but my hubs is worried baby will come early and he wants us to have one ready asap Shock

Bobbiepin · 28/08/2017 21:07

@lionqueen its silly because usually I have really skinny fingers, so they don't look too bad but its really uncomfortable. I just look like I'm really overreacting! I'm dreading going back to work, i'll try to get away with wearing my flip flops just in my classroom!

@lydiangel you have to admit that's a funny image! Get on it girl!

TheLionQueen1 · 28/08/2017 23:08

Squiggle I'm 34 weeks and I packed mine at 30, best to be prepared!!

lydiangel83 · 29/08/2017 06:53

Lol
@Bobbiepin I know you're right I just find the whole thing so unpleasant but I guess that's the point!

I feel like this at the moment

Girls I'm struggling at work today - started at 7 and don't finish till half 7, I've had about 3 hours sleep and feel ill, I'm too worried to go and tell manager I'm not well and need to go home x

Bobbiepin · 29/08/2017 11:11

@ew1990 why are you worried? If you aren't well you must go home. They can't do anything if you aren't well during pregnancy.
@lydiangel that picture is hilarious! Sums it up perfectly!

TheLionQueen1 · 29/08/2017 14:22

Anyone who has got a snuzpod pod crib, I've just bought some of ten Asda crib sheets and they fit! £9 for 3 rather than the insane prices they try and charge you for their own ones!

ScotsLamb · 29/08/2017 19:44

Thanks LionQueen I've been putting off buying the sheets due to the price. We've bought a second hand one.

TheLionQueen1 · 29/08/2017 20:10

So did we scots! The prices they charge for theirs are stupid so thought it was worth a try and they're perfect!

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 29/08/2017 20:10

Does anyone feel sick at the sight of raw pork mince? Made a chilli earlier when hubby brought mince home. Had to put my hands in sandwich bags to empty it into the plan to fry it the blood on the packaging nearly made me sick. Never bothered me before pregnancy 🙈

ew1990 · 29/08/2017 20:38

@Victoriaaaaaaaa not raw mince no, but the morning before I took my test I made bacon and eggs and the feel of the bacon and the smell of it cooking made me feel sick - I couldn't eat it

Bobbiepin · 29/08/2017 21:03

Are you feeling any better ew1990?
