@MistyBxx I was horrendously tired, would sleep for 12-13 hours at a time if I didn't have work, when I was at work I'd want to go home and go bed, it eased off after a while xx

TheLionQueen1 · 23/08/2017 20:39

Misty I was incredibly tired first trimester and needed a nap most days, then it stopped and I was full of energy, then the second I hit my final trimester it has started again. Hopefully it'll ease for you but will probably return!

Worth speaking to MW though as a huge amount of women in pregnancy have iron deficiency and even taking the tablets they need more as a top up, it's really common and may make you feel so much better!

Flatwhite31 · 23/08/2017 20:42

Hi ladies, well my first pregnancy has ended in an MMC at 9 weeks, discovered on my 12 week scan today. Very sad about it all, and completely unexpected. Going in for an ERPC on Friday. Best of luck to you all in your pregnancies and for when your gorgeous babies arrive. X

TheLionQueen1 · 23/08/2017 20:53

So sorry to hear flatwhite Flowers

Bobbiepin · 23/08/2017 21:00

@flatwhite I'm so sorry to hear that. Look after yourself. Have you got support IRL to help?

@Misty definitely worth talking to MW if you feel really awful, as Thelionqueen says sometimes the pregnacare isnt enough. Are you eating properly? Try to up the veg and lay off tea for a little while (there are tannins in tea that prevent you from absorbing iron). A vitamin C boost will help with iron absorption and general health too, kiwis are better than oranges. Hopefully you'll get a bit of energy back soon.

MistyBxx · 23/08/2017 21:02

Oh @Flatwhite31 I'm so, so sorry to hear that. If you remember my past posts, you'll know I went through the same, but at an earlier stage. Believe me when I say I know exactly how you feel but the shock you must be feeling today is indescribable. Nothing anyone will say to you will make you feel better. You'll get sick of hearing how "it's nature's way" and how everyone's "auntie's sister's wife has had one or two of those too" which is people's awkward way of trying to make you feel better but failing miserably. Only people who have been through it will truly understand but take some peace in how much people love you and will want desperately to try and comfort you. Be as kind to yourself as you can, and I genuinely wish you all the best. Please don't hesitate to message me if you need to. There is light at the end of the tunnel, I promise you, but take your time to grieve and process in your own way. Lots of love chicky xxx

Littlelouse · 23/08/2017 21:04

@MistyBxx I've got basically the same routine as you at 29 weeks and I've been anaemic all the way through. Even after taking iron supplements for 12 weeks, I was still anaemic at my last blood tests, two weeks ago.

I'd put money on you being iron deficient

MistyBxx · 23/08/2017 21:05

Thanks @TheLionQueen1 @Bobbiepin I'm trying to eat healthy but I struggle as I dislike a lot of healthy food. I don't drink tea at all, never have. I think I will definitely mention it to the mw though as I'm exhausted feeling like this xx

Flatwhite31 · 23/08/2017 21:15

Thank you so much @MistyBxx, that's such a supportive, understanding message. I do remember you going through the same. How soon after did you get pregnant again? The doctor has recommended waiting to have one period before trying again.

ValentineFizz · 23/08/2017 22:03

Sorry to see your update @flatwhite Flowers

@misty I felt exactly the same, was diagnosed anaemic at 13 weeks booking appointment and put on iron supplements in addition to pregnacare but still showing deficient at 28 week blood test last week.... I have been exhausted throughout except for maybe 3 weeks in the last 4 however I've now got 3rd trimester and it's back with a vengeance 😳 Definitely mention to your midwife..... I am now chalking it up to training for what's ahead! 😂

ValentineFizz · 23/08/2017 22:17

@misty I apologise, that really wasn't the positive and hopeful update you were looking for! 😶

ew1990 · 24/08/2017 18:48

mrsjkerry · 24/08/2017 23:19

OP posts:
ew1990 · 24/08/2017 23:44

I've been the same!! I have to walk around to stop it, but I've done my knee in somehow and it's killing

MistyBxx · 25/08/2017 01:12

Thanks girlies @ValentineFizz @Littlelouse I'm defo going to mention it to midwife next tues. It's really getting me down.x

@Flatwhite31 I found out I'd mc mid March but didn't start bleeding til a couple of weeks later and then bled until mid April (I chose not to have intervention) then it was another 3 weeks til I had a normal period. And it was very normal, everyone warned me it would be awful but it wasn't. No longer or heavier than normal. Then I literally caught on that month's ovulation a couple of weeks later. I was trying but only half heartedly. As in I was having unprotected sex as much as possible during the fw but I wasn't consciously trying, I was going out a lot and drinking with my hubby and friends a lot back then after what happened, I wasn't using opks or really seriously trying, I thought I'd have a month of just not thinking about it. And that's when it happened. Some people need more time to recover than others. I didn't, I wanted to be pg and I wanted to try again immediately but I didn't really think I would catch the first month after. But I did. So if you want to get back on the horse immediately so to speak, you do it babe. They do advise waiting for one normal period and I'm glad I did because I had a better idea where my fw was etc.xxx

TheLionQueen1 · 25/08/2017 17:32

There was an ankle there once 😂😂

This swelling is ridiculous!!

lydiangel83 · 25/08/2017 17:38

Ouch @TheLionQueen1 is it sore? Get your feet up id say and have a rest! How many weeks are you now? I've put on 12kg at 30 wks, is that within the range of normal?! feels like a lot!

TheLionQueen1 · 25/08/2017 17:52

Pretty sore!! I've driven 200 miles for work today and sat in a hot office in between so that's a particularly bad day to be fair, they aren't that bad normally!

Was good as they were so bad that DH felt bad and has been massaging my feet GrinGrin

I'm 33+4, hoping it doesn't get much worse!!

I've put a stupid amount of weight on but MW happy and said bump is right size so I'm trying not to worry, nothing I can do about it now!

Bobbiepin · 25/08/2017 19:41

Ohhh lionqueen that looks so sore! Feet up and chill today! Maybe some frozen peas will help bring it down again. Keep up the foot massages DH!

Is anyone dealing with chub rub? It seems like all the weight that's not on my bump is on the tops of my thighs and its so sore!! I've mostly been wearing dresses and don't have much in the way of trousers to help.

ew1990 · 25/08/2017 19:47

@Bobbiepin Vaseline where the thighs rub together xx

lydiangel83 · 25/08/2017 19:53

Omg @Bobbiepin yes! I read that roll on deodorant is good to prevent rub in that area. Not tried it yet but my thighs are so sore!

Bobbiepin · 25/08/2017 20:05

Thanks girls, i'm currently manspreading on the sofa, which is actually so comfortable, bump is really low at the moment so sits perfectly between my legs! Once I can move again I'll be off to asda and stocking up on vaseline and roll on deodorant. Gonna get some weird looks from the checkout person!

As soon as I can get back to the gym its leg day with a vengance!

lydiangel83 · 25/08/2017 21:21

@Bobbiepin love a bit of man spreading lol. I've also taken to rubbing my bump which probably looks a bit weird at work! Is anyone still going to the gym?! I went on cross trainer earlier and my hip really flared up which is really disappointing as it's an old running injury id been working to get rid of. I think I'm going to have to call time on cardio now at 30+3!Shock
