That's adorable @mrsjkerry where did you get it from?

Worst nights sleep ever - going to be a long day!

lydiangel83 · 08/08/2017 08:16

@mrsjkerry it was me complaining about pregnancy yoga - nice way to try and meet people which is main reason I'm going! I'm impressed with your daily swimming - what shampoo do you use?

mrsjkerry · 08/08/2017 08:30

@lydiangel83 I saw it on that new Facebook marketplace. Someone locally makes them and sells them!

I had a bad nights sleep too. I think she must've been kicking a lot. And I've been up for a while vomiting stomach acid 🙄 standard morning. I can't bloody wait for her to get out of me so I can feel normal again!

I use all sorts of shampoo...I used to like the Garnier ultimate blends one but lately I've found the head and shoulders which has the pink flower on to be quite good. Leaves hair feeling clean and hasn't got too overpowering a smell...as smells can really impact the nausea....

How's everyone today? For the first time since I've been pregnant I don't have a single spot 😂😂

Bobbiepin · 08/08/2017 21:52

Reason to celebrate @ew! I'm doing ok, bubba is sticking her feet under my ribs (or at least that's what I think it is). I tried moving her and got a kick to the kidney in response!

ew1990 · 08/08/2017 22:02

@Bobbiepin is it you who's due 11 November? Luckily I've not had anything stuck under ribs yet, but the kicks to the bladder are the weirdest feeling ever, baby was lay sideways at my MW appointment last week x

Bobbiepin · 08/08/2017 22:31

Nope, 26th October and it can't come quickly enough. When are you due?

I love feeling her move but getting kicked in organs is really uncomfortable!

ew1990 · 08/08/2017 22:36

11th November - someone's got the same due date as me but I can't remember who. Might be @Bubbasmama2017.

Everyone keeps saying to me wait until she's stuck under your ribs 😂 I love the kicks but sometimes the full on moves are weird xx

Bubbasmama2017 · 08/08/2017 22:39

@ew1990 I'm 18th November! Not had much chance to look at the group for a ages hope everyone is doing well

ew1990 · 08/08/2017 22:43

God knows who it is then - I might have dreamed it 😂 please one of you tell me I'm not crazy. How are you bubba

mrsjkerry · 08/08/2017 22:48

I'm due 9 November but never 11th!!

Bobbiepin · 08/08/2017 22:50

Maybe Lydiangel?

I love the full movements, (this will sound stupid, but) they remind me that she's really a person in there.

ew1990 · 08/08/2017 22:58

Lydiangel is further along than me,

I just find the full movements in comfy sometimes. These past few nights I've been woken up by loads of kicking

Bubbasmama2017 · 08/08/2017 23:05

Very good thank you @ew1990 tired a lot of the time and still not sleeping that well. Glad I've only got 15 weeks until I can meet my baby girl (fingers crossed she's on time!) X

ew1990 · 08/08/2017 23:08

I've got 13 and half weeks - I'm terrified but so excited x

lydiangel83 · 09/08/2017 07:41

I'm due 1st November :-) felt loads of full movements last night - have not been sleeping well at all but enjoyed feeling baby move around. 12 wks today until due date can't believe it! Fed up of lack of sleep and fed up of work. Tired and emotional all the time!

OH can't come to midwife appt this morning and feel a bit gutted about it as he left it until last minute to realise he can't get in to work in time afterwards. He hasn't been to any of the others but I wanted to talk about pain relief in this one.

Im just generally a bit mopey today!

Bobbiepin · 09/08/2017 08:37

Oh that sucks @Lydi. My DH hasn't been to any MW appointments as it would mean him taking a full day off work and he wants to save the holiday time for when she's born. Surely you can still have the pain relief conversations without him and just go through your notes after?

MrsBendyBaker · 09/08/2017 09:11

Hope the nausea/sickness eases off a bit @mrsjkerry and others so afflicted!!

Good news here - had my 12 week scan on Friday, everything was fine - heart beat present, brain and spine looked normal, nucchal translucency was 1.6 which is apparently good. Got my combined test scores back already - 1/2000 for Downs (and given that I'm 37 that's pretty good I'd say), 1/20000 and 1/50000 for Patau and Edwards. So we are very happy 😀 - going to have the Harmony blood test anyway just for peace of mind, but so far so good!

Nausea has also been low/manageable lately, ditto fatigue, but given that I've seen the baby looking alive and well on Friday I'm no longer panicking that my lack of symptoms has any kind of sinister implications- I think I'm just lucky tbh!!

Squigglefish · 09/08/2017 09:15

FYI New look have a nice maternity wear sale on at the moment. It's so rare to be able to find anywhere which sells maternity clothes in store.
I'm 28 weeks today and we are going for an over night spa break tomorrow (I'm only allowed a facial!). I know this is shallow but I'm nervous about showing off my body by the pool. I don't want to keep wrapped in a dressing gown but I'm just shy I guess. I've never had this body before (or these thighs). Has anyone else get like this? I know it's silly, I love my bump, it's just nerve wracking.

Squigglefish · 09/08/2017 09:23

@lydiangel83 im due the 1st of November too Smile

mrsjkerry · 09/08/2017 09:42

@Squigglefish first time I went swimming I got a couple of glances but that's about it. To be honest no one's really looking at you/cares!

OP posts:
Squigglefish · 09/08/2017 09:48

Oh I know people won't care, it's all psychological for me. Think a fake tan and a sarong will work wonders.

ew1990 · 09/08/2017 10:12

My little brother and sister want me to take them swimming but I can't bring myself to put a swimming costume on never mind a bikini - I don't mean to sound ungrateful coz I love my bump but sometimes when I look in the mirror naked it does take me by surprise x

mrsjkerry · 09/08/2017 10:14

@ew1990 you look great!! I'm jealous of your bump! I could still pass for fat 😄

OP posts:
lydiangel83 · 09/08/2017 10:37

Yes you're right @Bobbiepin just being dramatic. The midwife wouldn't talk to me about birth options - we are meant to read up ourselves / via ante natal appts apparently?! Anyone else found this?

@mrsjkerry you def look pregnant and not fat! Lovely round bump :)

@Squigglefish yay to 1/11 babies!! I know how you feel I went to spa last week and it was lovely. Had a facial and went briefly in steam rooms but also conscious of big thighs/ bum/ belly. It's about how you feel but I figured have to just work with it!

Thanks for heads up on New Look sale will check it out! Have bought loads of clothes it feels like but also important to me to feel good in what I'm wearing. Plus I figure I'll end up passing on to friends / sister afterwards at some point!
