I think she had a growth spurt at 24 weeks 😂😂 xx

ew1990 · 06/08/2017 20:08

@lydiangel83 definitely not too early for bed, I've been in bed at half 7 before now, I've just ate a massive plate of pie, chips, veg and gravy with bread, I'm gunna have a bath soon and I'll be off myself x

mrsjkerry · 06/08/2017 20:19

Yes @lydiangel83 I will be doing hypnobirthing. Husband thinks it's a wAste of time but it's got to be worth a go

I think I need to invest in a pregnancy pillow LionQueen, I've just been using regular pillows but they're not really cutting it.

Yes the peeing is relentless, DH suggested we wall-mount a flatscreen tv in the bathroom given how much time I'm spending in there! 😩

lydiangel83 · 07/08/2017 07:03

Could people send their pregnancy pillow links please? I also need one x

mrsjkerry · 07/08/2017 08:51

I've tried practically all of them, including sanggol and dreamgenii, and I find theraline to be the best brand. They're from Germany.

John Lewis sell one here https://m.johnlewis.com/theraline-original-maternity-and-nursing-pillow-ecru/p/230733273?sku=230733273&skwcid=2dx92700019010974996&tmad=c&tmcampid=2&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIIb6jj9HE1QIVTLcbCh0G2ANrEAQYASABEgIGjfDBwE&gclsrc=aw.dss_

And amazon do printed ones_

@mrsjkerry thanks for links!

@TheLionQueen thanks tho I don't understand the shape of that one lol!

Had a meeting cancelled so sneaking off for lunchtime spin session. Anyone else doing spinning?

TheLionQueen1 · 07/08/2017 12:25

I tuck the top over my shoulder the bottom between my legs then the main bit either behind my back or front under bump dependant on what hurts, it's really easy, folds out really easy!

mrsjkerry · 07/08/2017 14:37

I used to do spinning but I'm much more of a runner! Couldn't fit it in over my lunch break!! Husband had to buy me a support band yday because my belly is a bit too big to continue running with..!

OP posts:
Bobbiepin · 07/08/2017 17:35

I used to run too but an obstetrician told me to stop. Went back to parkrun after the morning sickness eased at 17 weeks and even though I took it really slow I couldn't walk for the rest of the day. A morning in the park with friends kids and I'm stuck on the sofa and can't move! Can't wait for this baby to be born!

Littlelouse · 07/08/2017 17:50

Midwife 'ordered' me to stop spinning at booking in appointment! She said it's dangerous because it raises your core temperature and that can cause issues with the baby. I checked with my GP because, quite frankly I hate swimming, which is what everyone is telling me to do, and I miss spin classes and she also said it wasn't recommended for the above reasons. Grrr: I bet it's incorrect information, isn't it?

ew1990 · 07/08/2017 17:56

My friend had a baby girl 10 weeks ago and she's just dropped me off a massive bag of 0-3 clothes vest babygrows tights etc. Don't think I need to buy anything else 0-3! X

ew1990 · 07/08/2017 17:57

Half of it's still got the tags on!

lydiangel83 · 07/08/2017 18:38

I haven't run since 17 wks when my belly felt all pulled and weird, maybe a belly band would have helped tho?!

I've spoken to two physios and they both said spinning is fine as long as you are not totally out of breath (i.e. Could still hold a conversation) and I make sure heart rate doesn't go over 140 BPM

I agree I'd rather be running though. Don't reckon will feel like much for a while after labour??! Grin

ew1990 · 07/08/2017 19:06

@lydiangel83 I was looking at belly bands before on eBay, my bumps sore today, feels like it's being stretched to the max x

lydiangel83 · 07/08/2017 19:09

@Littlelouse forgot to add that my midwife was horrified I was spinning but reading most guidance it seems ok x

mrsjkerry · 07/08/2017 19:34

See my doctor told me to keep exercising as normal. I've been very out of breath and not on many occasions.... 🙄

What exercise had you been doing @mrsjkerry? I do think it depends on how fit you were already ie you can maintain but maybe not aim to improve fitness during pregnancy, and also your health professional's attitude to exercise.

I'm coming to the conclusion there is no conclusive evidence in this area!

mrsjkerry · 07/08/2017 20:16

Running. I run every morning. Admittedly my times have been slower but sometimes I do still push it...!

Bobbiepin · 07/08/2017 20:40

@mrsJ I'm so jealous. I'm already wondering how long after the birth it'll be before I can run or get back to the gym. I was so desperate to not be one of those pregnant women who gives up when she got pregnant and that's exactly what I've done

mrsjkerry · 07/08/2017 21:30

I'm not running so much now it's summer holidays because my regular time was always before school. Instead I go to the gym twice a week to see my PT but I am going swimming everyday. I've also just joined pregnancy yoga. But like someone else said few posts ago...it doesn't do much 😄

Bought this today for baby's room. I got the "baby mine" music sheet as the background.

That's very cute!

My NDN gave us a cute babygrow to thank us for letting them park on our drive for a bit. Really unexpected but very cute.
