Oops time for a new thread. Hope you all find it okay Grin

@lydiangel83 I'm nearly 26 weeks, it was probably 20ish weeks when it improved because I remember I first felt baby move at 18 weeks and I was sleeping in the spare room because I was so fidgety and frustrated that night so it was after 18 weeks!

Oh joys 26+2 and welcome to the heartburn 😔

lydiangel83 · 03/07/2017 20:49

Oh no @MSH2010 I had mild heartburn the other day and was horrible - is it doubly bad for you?! I am hoping it goes soon

lydiangel83 · 03/07/2017 20:49

Does anyone find themselves sneezing a lot, really violently, and being worried that the contractions are somehow damaging baby!?

MrsHandles · 03/07/2017 20:54

lydiangel I'm at the point with sneezing where I'm more surprised if I don't sneeze lots and so bloody violently!

lydiangel83 · 03/07/2017 21:04

@MrsHandles what's it all about?! I've been sneezing for months now, usually a couple of extreme, violent fits a day/ night! Weird! Not sure it is hayfever. I heard rhinitis is a pregnancy runny nose but honestly sneezing so much I bend in two doesn't seem good for bubba!

MSH2010 · 03/07/2017 21:12

Today's the worst it's been. Never had it before so wasn't sure what it was last week when it started. Hoping it doesn't get any worse 😔 I've got to chase the midwife tomorrow over referrals so will mention it.

mrsjkerry · 03/07/2017 21:14

What are you eating @MSH2010. Some foods make it worse. I had horrid heartburn after pizza ...

NicoleC1990 · 03/07/2017 21:17

We had our 20-week scan today. Went ok, everything was measuring fine except the femur which was 7th percentile. She called us back in to measure again and it was 17th percentile. She said anything over 10 is perfectly normal and she wasn't worried but now I'm panicking that there's something wrong. Really hope I'm just being silly. Feel quite down and had hoped to be feeling elated afterwards Confused I need to step away from Google.

MSH2010 · 03/07/2017 21:23

To be honest I got it from tying my shoes up. I hadn't even eaten by the time it kicked in today.

Amd724 · 03/07/2017 23:13

Its rather late, but I thought I'd join. I'm 22 weeks exactly, due date is 6 November. I've had my 20 week scan already, everything normal and we know we're having a girl. Its starting to get a bit real! We've ordered our pram already, and I've attached a photo of it. I'm on early maternity leave in 7 weeks, but I have two weeks annual leave to use first. So I'm off work in five weeks! I'm starting to go crazy already, can't believe this is happening!!

And I have awful acid reflux/indigestion. Sipping slowly on a coke helps, but I'll be trying something else. It's only in the evening as well. Doesn't matter what I eat! I'm starting to think its the liquid pregnacare I'm taking.

lydiangel83 · 04/07/2017 02:27

@NicoleC1990 our femur length was 10% but sonographer didn't mention anything at all and it was only when we got home that we thought it looked odd and I agree Dr Google is not your friend. I rang midwife worried and she wouldn't do anything about it / give me consultant referral as was still in NHS 'normal' range. So we paid for private scan for peace of mind and consultant was brilliant, talked it all through, said femur length doesn't matter and is only used as a measure in conjunction with abdominal circumference if they think this is not normal. He said could have been a measurement error (which would be ok if only sonographer had bothered to tell us that that was a possibility) and all turned out fine.

So in summary yours sounds like it may all be fine but we were worried sick so I totally get it - just wish the NHS had time to spend a few more minutes talking it through with you and could give you that peace of mind :-/

lydiangel83 · 04/07/2017 02:28

Congrats and welcome @Amd724 :)

NicoleC1990 · 04/07/2017 08:21

That makes me feel better lydiangel, typical that we take the one little slight negative in an otherwise positive scan and obsess over it! I can't help it! My husband isn't worried at all and tbf the sonographer we had was great, she spent a lot of time doing the measurement the second time so it was most accurate (baby was not complying and kept wriggling!). I'll have a chat with my midwife although like you, I don't expect to be told anything terribly helpful.

Congrats and welcome Amd74, quite a few of us are having little girlies now ☺️

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 04/07/2017 08:27

11w1d

Past couple of days ive noticed a lot more discharge and also increased lower back and abdominal pain. Me and dh had a big argument last night and my stomach started cramping I'm just hoping it's to do with the ligaments stretching with the time coming to start showing soon.

Woke up this morning and stretched and had a massive shooting pain down left hand side 😩

12 week scan a week today!

Missonhartbaby · 04/07/2017 09:59

Ladybuglou - thanks for your kind words!! I'm also on anti depressants, my midwife said it would be more harmful if I came off them. Weirdly I'm not worried about anything to do with the baby or being a mum, it's all about money and moving house and work is stressing me out even though I keep thinking just 2 months left!!! But then I am also super happy that I'm having a baby as it's all I've ever wanted really!!! I'm very up and down! Haha
Victoriaaa - discharge is so normal, not very nice but normal!!! As is cramping etc, I have some quite bad cramping early on in my pregnancy, it's just where everything is stretching out. You'll feel abit better after your 12 week scan and have seen bubba :)

Teachervoice · 04/07/2017 18:23

@Amd724 snap with the pram! Ordered it a couple of weeks ago! Have you gone for Navy? We have - love it!

MrsB12345 · 05/07/2017 06:56

We are 22 weeks too and ordered a similar pram @Amd724. We went for the Oyster2. Great reviews. We were going to get a silver cross but this was the better option as you can fit maxicosi car seats on it

Bubbasmama2017 · 05/07/2017 07:40

Enjoy your scan @victoria

Bubbasmama2017 · 05/07/2017 07:42

We haven't bought anything yet! I feel like it's still to early and my house is quite small so not sure where we would put stuff (20+4 today)

Amd724 · 05/07/2017 07:57

@Teachervoice and @MRSB12345

We ordered the Egg in black, the carrycot is out of stock, so we're waiting for it to be delivered when it goes back in stock. You can also fit the maxi cosi on top of the egg's chassis. But Egg has their own car seat with base for a car, and it folds so it lays flat (which I really want!). We looked at Silver Cross and Oyster2 but TBH I just fell in love with how much smaller the Egg was as I'll be doing a lot of walking and possibly taking public transport with it. We live in the city centre of York, so walking to get a coffee with the baby is a distinct possibility. Those stores are tiny in York, so fitting a smaller pram was my top priority. We also need her pram to fold up and fit in the closet under the stairs, so a small pram is what we need.

We're thinking of taking the pram with us when we fly to the US in January, so I wanted a small frame that can easily fold. I've been looking at prams since I found out I was pregnant! Grin

Amd724 · 05/07/2017 08:03

"@Bubbasmama2017", we've only ordered a few things that are on sale. I think the cot will be next. We're thinking of having our children back to back, so when Ana is 18 months, she may have a baby sister or brother on the way. We'd need that cot, and would just buy her a toddler bed.

We've found Pampers wipes on sale, and have stocked up. I saw onesies and sleepers on sale, so bought quite a few of those. I have a goal, which is to buy everything for our baby either on sale, or with a voucher (like 10% off). We found bottles, a pump, and steriliser on sale (£10 instead of £80 for the lot). Her bouncer was bought with a 20% off coupon. I start maternity leave in a few weeks and will devote a lot of time to hunting down deals for what we want.

We won't have any hand me downs, as my husbands brother had their last child 4 years ago, and have already given away that stuff. My brother currently has a 18 month old boy, but they're saving it for another child. Ana will be the first girl born on either side so she gets all new stuff! Its become an obsession to get her stuff on sale!

Amd724 · 05/07/2017 08:04

Grr, should be @Bubbasmama2017

Teachervoice · 05/07/2017 14:42

@Amd724 we've also ordered the car seat which Egg produces. Husband's parents are 5 hours away so a lie flat car seat was a must.

Cost over £1400 though, altogether, which made my eyes water a bit!

@Bubbasmama2017 earliest stock is available for our pram is October so don't leave it too long!

Amd724 · 05/07/2017 15:08

@Teachervoice please don't tell me that you're waiting until October for the Egg to be delivered! I'm due in early November, so waiting that long for the carrycot will probably make me anxious...they have the Jurassic Park colour of the Egg, so hoping that perhaps if we need to, we can use the JP carrycot. Its in stock at House of Fraser.

We got the Egg using a voucher, for 20% off. I'm hoping to get the car seat once we buy a car. Grin
