Oops time for a new thread. Hope you all find it okay Grin

@lydiangel83 I'm nearly 26 weeks, it was probably 20ish weeks when it improved because I remember I first felt baby move at 18 weeks and I was sleeping in the spare room because I was so fidgety and frustrated that night so it was after 18 weeks!

October!! Oh my goodness I was thinking I didn't want to get stuff too early but scary to think baby could be here by mid October that would only be 4 weeks early! @amd724 do you mind me asking if the voucher was a discount code or something? Can't believe the price of everything we have to buy

Teachervoice · 05/07/2017 16:39

@Amd724 @Bubbasmama2017

Yep, October for the Egg! I'm also due beginning of November so was a bit of an 'eeeek' moment but they've assured me it will definitely arrive before my due date - let's just hope baby doesn't also arrive before then!

Ordered ours two weeks ago after the 20 week scan. Also ordered all nursery furniture at the same time as the stuff we like has also got a long lead time. Don't get me wrong: I'm sure you could get hold of stuff if you found yourself in a tight spot but if you've got your heart set on something, order sooner rather than later!

Amd724 · 05/07/2017 16:40

Mothercare gave me a booklet of discount codes and the magazine they have, Gurgle I think, had more discount codes in there. I've been using them to buy everything cheaper. The codes have been working for items on sale as well.

TheLionQueen1 · 05/07/2017 19:38

Snap MrsB we have the bought the Oyster 2 as well! We've gone for the red colour pack!

lydiangel83 · 05/07/2017 21:21

Does anyone know if you can use a different brand car seat e.g. Maxicosi with a silver cross pioneer pram? I was keen on purple silver cross but they have stopped making it now!

Brens13 · 05/07/2017 21:23

I've got a mamas and papa's pram and maxi cosi seat. They showed me they fit together as they had both in store. I'm sure they'd help you check as well. Most do tho with adapters.

mrsjkerry · 05/07/2017 23:12

Feeling very confused. What is maxicosi and why is everyone obsessed with it? Can't you just buy the matching car seat for the pram you're actually getting!?

NicoleC1990 · 06/07/2017 08:25

Lydia you can usually buy adaptors to fit a Maxi-Cosi, I'm almost certain Silver Cross would do them. We have ordered an iCandy and it comes with the adaptors but they aren't expensive to buy separately, maybe £30 max.

@mrsjkerry I chose a Maxi-Cosi because they have been extensively crash-tested in loads of different cars and are considered one of the safest brands. Also because they are so popular they tend to work with most travel systems which is handy.

stepmum88 · 06/07/2017 10:17

@lydiangel83 I've ordered a silver cross pioneer SE and you can get adaptors (£30) for the maxi cosi car seats (pebble and cabriofix). We looked at using the silver cross ones but it makes much better sense to get a maxi cosi as you can use the base up to 4yrs & saves faff when you can immediately transfer them from car to pram. Hope that helps xx

TheLionQueen1 · 06/07/2017 13:34

MrsJ mine didn't have a car seat matching, only a few travel systems actually do. We bought the car seat then a Cybex Aton Car seat and Cybex Base, it's ridiculously confusing!!

NicoleC1990 · 06/07/2017 16:53

They're generally very helpful in places like Mothercare, they'll look up your car to see if the car seat you're interested in has been crash-tested in it, and they'll also let you try it out to make sure your vehicle has the current fixtures for the base etc. It is very confusing there's lots of different options! We have the Pebble with the 2-Way Fix base which lasts longer than the FamilyFix base (or so I'm led to believe anyway!).

Bubbasmama2017 · 07/07/2017 18:01

I was never really into macdonalds and I'm vegetarian but I'm craving maccy d's fries and burger buns! Feel like I'm just eating rubbish non stop but I'm so hungry and comfort eating all the time. Anyone else like this?

ew1990 · 07/07/2017 18:02

@Bubbasmama2017 McDonald's fries and roast beef monster munch are my cravings, I just feel like I'm eating crap all the time, I try to eat fruit a lot though to make up for it x

Bubbasmama2017 · 07/07/2017 18:12

I'm so scared this baby girl is going to be huge!
I think I've got into the habit of eating constantly during morning sickness months and now being tired makes me want to eat sugary stuff. I know dieting is bad while pregnant but considering slimming world or something like that.

lydiangel83 · 07/07/2017 22:28

I thought I'd only put a minimal amount of weight on outside of bump but my DM today told me otherwise :-/ feel quite upset but have to remember she is thoughtless not malicious. I am still eating all the carbs, am just hungry all the time!

mrsjkerry · 08/07/2017 12:12

@lydiangel83 I've had "here comes fattie"; "are you carrying a sumo wrestler"; "are there twins in there"; "wow you're getting big". I can't believe how insensitive people are!!!

lydiangel83 · 08/07/2017 16:21

@mrsjkerry I know! Whilst I love my bump and don't mind putting weight on I don't need to be called a fatty continuously especially when mostly trying to be semi-sensible (except on holiday for 2 wks when eating my body weight in cheese and icecream!)

ValentineFizz · 08/07/2017 17:07

@mrsjkerry yes I've had all of those too, I just laugh it off and say I'd be worried if it wasn't getting big by now. 😊

I've also had lots of unsolicited bump rubbing/touching - I don't mind it from close friends & family but some folks I'm just like eh no thanks, hands off!! 😨

ew1990 · 08/07/2017 18:16

I don't get called my name at work anymore - it's now tubs. I don't mind it's lighthearted, I haven't really put weight on apart from the bump. People still commenting about how small bump is, I just brush it off now, I got told she's a good size at my 20 week scan so it doesn't worry me now xx

stepmum88 · 08/07/2017 18:52

I always react to stuff like that by commenting on their "bump"
Too if I think they're being rude 🙊🙊

mrsjkerry · 08/07/2017 19:21

I always want to tell them my due date is earlier as people are surprised at the size of my bump for nearly 23 weeks...

I'm going to start saying "October" instead of November....

TheLionQueen1 · 08/07/2017 20:00

MrsJ I'm due October and I still get embarrassed and want to say earlier 😂 I'm just rocking it now and don't care, the ladies that work for me are calling me tubs as well but I'm not bothered, I like being tubs and having bump!

Ps I totally just got stuck in a shower, I'm in a caravan for the weekend and bought a short dress today as it was so hot so decided to try and sit down and shave my legs ready for tomorrow and I couldn't get back up 😂 my DH had to come in and pull me up, very dignified 😂😂

mrsjkerry · 08/07/2017 20:17

Ah you've made me feel better @TheLionQueen1!! I've found I can't get out of the car in a normal car parking spot because I can't open the door wide enough. I'm not sure what to do! I keep parking ages away in end spaces so I can get out 😄 there are no spaces for pregnant ladies!! Anyone else!?

lydiangel83 · 08/07/2017 20:57

@mrsjkerry I was wondering if you could park in a parent and child space lol!

ew1990 · 08/07/2017 21:36

Here's mine from when I was 21+4, 3 days ago - I'm 22 week today
