Oops time for a new thread. Hope you all find it okay Grin

@lydiangel83 I'm nearly 26 weeks, it was probably 20ish weeks when it improved because I remember I first felt baby move at 18 weeks and I was sleeping in the spare room because I was so fidgety and frustrated that night so it was after 18 weeks!

@Bubbasmama2017 ^^

I realised earlier i have no holiday left to take! So will have to take my mat leave earlier if I feel I can't work up until due date which is really depressingShock I'm so achy already can't imagine how I'll feel in a few months time! I have a desk job mostly but when I don't sleep I'm a grumpy lady Grin

lydiangel83 · 13/06/2017 16:23

@TheLionQueen1 I regularly recalculate the number of working days left (78 as at today!) and definitely excited / bewildered by the idea of having such a long time off work. What am I going to do with myself lol?!

TheLionQueen1 · 13/06/2017 16:28

Haha Lydia!! Why have I not worked out the days left yet?! I'm totally doing that and getting some kind of count down app/diary!!

I'm sure we'll find plenty of things to do, or this post will suddenly become wildly busy because we're all sat at home just waiting 😂

lydiangel83 · 13/06/2017 16:45

@TheLionQueen1 yes true lol! Just google working days calculator uk 2017 and you will find one :)

ew1990 · 13/06/2017 21:00

Girls has anyone got "the glow" yet or are you still all spot ridden like me? Xx

TheLionQueen1 · 13/06/2017 21:35

So spot ridden Ew, my chin is just ridiculous!!

Teachervoice · 13/06/2017 21:39

So spotty...nothing above my mouth but loads on chin and neck: it's grim and disgusting.

ew1990 · 13/06/2017 21:42

Mines all on my chin, big angry red ones xx

THirdEeye · 13/06/2017 21:54

Not got the glow...nor the thick hair!

mrsjkerry · 13/06/2017 22:30

Mine's all on the chin too!! Horrible boil type under the skin ones that are painful. I had very clear and good skin before 😩

Teachervoice · 13/06/2017 22:36

It's got to be hormones. Do you think it will go? I hope it does.

ew1990 · 13/06/2017 22:38

I hope so, I have the glow for about half an hour after doing my make up 😊😊

Bubbasmama2017 · 13/06/2017 22:54

Has anyone ever taken paracetamol for the aches? A pharmacist told me the other day it was ok need to have a good night's sleep! Zzzz

ew1990 · 13/06/2017 23:16

I don't see why not, doc told me I can take them x2 three times a day xx

lydiangel83 · 14/06/2017 05:50

No spots currently but now wondering when they will come?!

TheLionQueen1 · 14/06/2017 06:48

You'll probably be lucky Lydia if you haven't already got them! I've had them for months now!

Bubbas, I've taken paracetamol regularly, MW and dr said perfectly safe as long as you only take the recommended amount!

NicoleC1990 · 14/06/2017 09:50

I've taken paracetamol fairly regularly throughout this pregnancy for headaches (not everyday but as needed). It is perfectly safe as long as you use sparingly and don't exceed the recommend dose.

With regards to mat leave, I'm an HR Analyst and most women at my work will start their leave on the due date or just before and then use holidays to take 2 or 3 weeks off in the lead up, I imagine it gets quite uncomfortable towards the end!

mrsjkerry · 14/06/2017 10:44

I don't get any holiday being a teacher! I don't want part of my maternity leave to be the October half term! Pointless! I'm hoping to start maternity leave on the first day back after half term so that the natural week I'm off anyway doesn't count! But that does mean working that one day a week before my due date 😬

Bubbasmama2017 · 14/06/2017 10:48

when you start working out maternity leave and dates it all becomes very real!!!
might ask if I can do some home working towards the end so if I'm too achy to get out of bed at least I can work :-)
@mrsjkerry do you have to go back full time? I have a teacher friend who is not allowed to return to work part time

Gothbaby · 14/06/2017 10:54

I've cut back my hair dying to once every couple of months. As long as everything's ventilated I say try not to do it too often! X

Teachervoice · 14/06/2017 16:33

@mrsjkerry you're 9th Nov too, aren't you?

My head did suggest I do the same as you but having been an early baby myself, I am convinced mine will be too so I'm finishing on the 13th! A bit gutting though to miss out on that half term week!

mrsjkerry · 14/06/2017 17:04

@Teachervoice yeh I am just going to go for it and hope she comes on time! If she comes early well then what can you do. Deal with that if it happens!

@Bubbasmama2017 I will go back full time because I'd be worried about career progression for certain roles if I wasn't there all the time!

Squigglefish · 14/06/2017 17:29

It's a GIRL! Grin
20 week scan was this morning, I was sick and brought up all the water i had had. Had to stop drinking anymore on the way to the scan because I felt so bad. Pretty sure it was down to nerves! I knew she was a girl after all this sickness and the symptoms! They also really struggled to measure her cos she was breached and wiggling. Very exciting x

TheLionQueen1 · 14/06/2017 19:18

Yay congrats squiggle!

Bubbasmama2017 · 14/06/2017 22:32

Congratulations @squiggle great news!
