Oops time for a new thread. Hope you all find it okay Grin

@lydiangel83 I'm nearly 26 weeks, it was probably 20ish weeks when it improved because I remember I first felt baby move at 18 weeks and I was sleeping in the spare room because I was so fidgety and frustrated that night so it was after 18 weeks!

I've felt flutters loads but these were proper kicks, can't wait till they become regular xx

ew1990 · 11/06/2017 18:12

Can your oh feel them yet?

TheLionQueen1 · 11/06/2017 18:59

Yes he first felt it at 19+5, now he feels him all the time. He wriggles a lot first thing in the morning so we lay in bed weekend mornings and he can see/feel him now!

ew1990 · 11/06/2017 19:25

Aww I can't wait, I think it's different for men because they can't feel all the pills and pinches etc that we feel, and even though my other half has started buying little united vests (he's a proper red) I don't think it feels 100% real for him yet so can't wait till he can feel first kick xx

TheLionQueen1 · 11/06/2017 19:41

Aw that's cute! My DH realised it was real when we starting forking out a fortune for buggy and nursery stuff 😂

lydiangel83 · 11/06/2017 20:59

Awww cute! I'm 19+4 not sure if I have felt kicks, but consultant had her hand on my belly last wk and said she could feel it! I think I felt something on election night (must've been the excitement lol), but not much since. So excited for 20 wk scan on Tues to know that all is ok xx

Missonhartbaby · 11/06/2017 21:57

I love that everyone's feeling their little ones kick away :) I've been feeling mine for the last few weeks, I'm now 21+5, and it really is the most amazing feeling! Also I had no idea that breast milk could start leaking at anytime!!! Thanks for the warning!! Grin

lydiangel83 · 12/06/2017 06:24

Agree thanks for the warning re breast milk I am a little horrified at the thought but I guess will have to get used to it!

Squigglefish · 12/06/2017 10:41

Morning all, my bump keep getting really hard every now and again, especially on the left side. I wondered if it could be braxton hicks or just the little one moving around. It's so bizzare.
Awww @ew1990 isn't it lovely!
@lydiangel83 good luck tomorrow, mine is on Wednesday. I'm a bit nervous but very excited.

lydiangel83 · 12/06/2017 10:44

Thanks @Squigglefish I feel the same!

Work are pushing me to let them know how long I'll be off on mat leave. Need to talk finances with DH but i thought a year was kinda standard? They seemed surprised when I said that tho!

ew1990 · 12/06/2017 10:48

@lydiangel83 i thought standard was a year, I can take a year but with finances I think I'm going to take 9 months, but I've spoke to my boss I'm gunna cut my hours down to 30 instead of 37, I would do 2 12 hour shifts and a 6 hour shift, I know the 12 hours are long but my mum and other halfs mum have said they will have baby so we don't have to fork out for childcare too xx

mrsjkerry · 12/06/2017 11:05

I wanted a year but can only afford 6 months. SMP just isn't enough to live off...we have nobody who will take baby also, so not sure what to do about that!! 😬

TheLionQueen1 · 12/06/2017 12:51

I'm taking 6 months, may go back earlier if they need me. I'm lucky as I get paid full time but plan my diary so tend to work part time so that'll be a great help when going back to work, and we have family members that can take him a day or so a week!

Squiggle I get that every day on my right side, feels like it's bruising and he's going to pop out! Think it's just them moving, baby must be comfortable there! I end up trying to prod him back over so I'm more comfortable!!

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 12/06/2017 13:12

8w0d bloat

Makes me happy when I can see something like this and it's not all in my head!

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 12/06/2017 15:22

Is it bad that I'm scared to have sex? 🙈

mrsjkerry · 12/06/2017 16:55

M@Victoriaaaaaaaa I don't have sex at all. It leaves me with painful stomach cramps and I hate it going deep in because I panic. My husband has pretty much accepted it's not happening for another 5 months. Poor guy

lydiangel83 · 12/06/2017 17:27

My DH is scared he will hurt the baby even though his baby boom says no man in the world is big enough for that to be possible :)

lydiangel83 · 12/06/2017 17:41

*baby book even lol!

ew1990 · 12/06/2017 18:06

I was scared when I had a little bleeding afterwards at the beginning but not anymore, I was too tired to do it up until about a month ago, xx

THirdEeye · 12/06/2017 20:40

We've only done it once and I'm 19wks now.

I think think I feel flutters but no kicks/movements...wish I did though.

Jessiecat27 · 13/06/2017 08:33

I keep feeling little movements but I only notice it I'm paying attention! Just over 17 weeks so I can't wait to properly feel movement!

Jessiecat27 · 13/06/2017 13:30

Those who are working, when are you planning to start maternity leave? I have no idea when is sort of the average

lydiangel83 · 13/06/2017 13:37

@Jessiecat27 I don't know what is average either but had planned to finish two wks before due date and work from home two wks before that. However consultant I saw about my back (long term condition that causes pain) said I will probably be struggling to work that late so now thinking will properly finish 3 wks before

ew1990 · 13/06/2017 14:30

I'm hoping to finish at 35 weeks, only coz it's a job where I am on my feet for 12 hours and I'm struggling now never mind later on xx

TheLionQueen1 · 13/06/2017 14:45

I'm going to be working from home from 36 weeks ( early sept) right up until baby comes. Would keep on working normally but my job is based on the road and I drive around 200 miles a day so don't want to be doing that and being miles away from home if anything happens! Luckily my company agree!

3 months and counting left...is it bad I'm almost as excited about the time off work as I am about meeting my baby?! 😂
