Oops time for a new thread. Hope you all find it okay Grin

@lydiangel83 I'm nearly 26 weeks, it was probably 20ish weeks when it improved because I remember I first felt baby move at 18 weeks and I was sleeping in the spare room because I was so fidgety and frustrated that night so it was after 18 weeks!

I'm lucky I have 24 days holiday left still to take so I'm gonna be going about 6weeks before my due date but only using 2 weeks actual mat leave. I'm so thankful I was stingy with my holiday days now haha!! I think it's quite unreleased for anyone to stay untill a week or so before... I'm knackered now! Oh and I've also entered the waddling stage!

Missonhartbaby · 07/06/2017 21:27

Unrealistic *

QuestionARhino · 07/06/2017 21:31

I'm staying til 38 weeks Smile earlier if I have annual leave to use up but otherwise I will only leave earlier if I give birth before my last day or get signed off ¯\()

I drive around 200 miles a day in my job so I need to stop that part probably 4 weeks before baby due but my lovely boss has said I can work from home then until due as I don't want to waste mat leave! Bring on beginning of September!!

MistyBxx · 07/06/2017 23:58

Hey girlies!!
Just a lil message for anyone who may remember me from the very start of this thread.... mrsjkerry I've had my bfp 🌈💜
Here we go again!! 🤞🏼
Hope you're all good and are having lovely pregnancies xx

Pixiedust2017 · 08/06/2017 00:19

Hey everyone,
First time post in this thread waves.
I am currently just over 10 weeks. I am lucky in a way in that I am working part time and "studying" the rest of the time for what I had hoped would be a career change. I am struggling at the moment on my school days to actually do anything other than lie on the couch and nap. Anyone else had this? At work I am struggling to stand for the whole 8.5 hours and it seems like my body is trying to make up for it on the days I don't have to go into work. I can't tell if I am being lazy and should push through it or just accept it and take it easy... Feeling a lot like a failure at the moment as I am seriously struggling to keep up with my studies and my work keeps asking me to do extra shifts :( Any ideas on how to make it easier? Thanks in advance!

mrsjkerry · 08/06/2017 07:03

@MistyBxx yaaaaay!!!! So happy to see you back here. Congratulations on your BFP...! I'm sure this time it'll stick and everything will work perfectly 👌🏻🤞🏻 so exciting xx

MistyBxx · 08/06/2017 07:18

Oh thank you mrsj I'm feeling loads more positive this time!! But I'm gonna stay away from all the pregnancy boards til I'm over 12 weeks coz I was obsessing last time and it was awful! But I'm glad I found you to let you know!!
How far along is everyone on here now?xx

lydiangel83 · 08/06/2017 07:34

Bubbasmama2017 · 08/06/2017 08:51

Congratulations @mistybxx Flowers and welcome @pixiedust2017 I found I was knackered from about 6 weeks until 12 weeks. It's getting better now (16+4) but got other issues I feel like I'm moaning or being lazy sometimes but I think pregnancy is different for everyone and some people have it harder than others.

mrsjkerry · 08/06/2017 11:28

18 weeks now @MistyBxx and apparently it's a little girl!! 💕 good luck. Don't stress! Don't take all those pregnancy tests and don't google everything! Your bean will be perfect xxxx

Just catching up on the thread-did it disappear?
Missonhartbaby great news!

I have a question-when do you get your maternity card? I am 11w 6 and finally have an NHS scan on Monday (had a private one) But Ive already been paying our for medication so wondered when you get it?

QuestionARhino · 08/06/2017 12:41

@Monkeypuzzle32 mine arrived a couple of weeks after I submitted my form, how long ago did you send yours off?

TheLionQueen1 · 08/06/2017 13:52

MistyB, so happy for you, welcome back!!

Monkeypuzzle, I was given my application at my first MW app when I was about 9 weeks, I sent it off immediately and got it back within 3 weeks. It's wonderful! Used it at the dentist last week.

Also as an FYI my dentist said that pregnant women should be seen at dentist every 3 months instead of 6 apparently, may as well when it's free Wink

lydiangel83 · 08/06/2017 13:56

I've only just had mine back as was told to post it off after 12 wk scan! I guess everywhere is different! Need to book a dentist appt as was told the same :)

Monkeypuzzle32 · 08/06/2017 13:58

what form? GP's havent seen me, the only reason Ive had a private scan is because I had treatment via a clinic, so the MW should give me one on Monday then?

I am not impressed so far with the NHS, I know how it is but Im an older Mother so I thought theyd give me a bit more help than this-I know nothing! Hmm

TheLionQueen1 · 08/06/2017 14:51

How many weeks are you Monkey? You won't have any communication really until your first MW app for some people that's as late as 12 weeks it just depends on the area. My understanding is the doctors can't do much at all; it's down to the MW so until you've seen them then you won't know/get anything like that. They won't know to give you additional support as an older mum until you've seen them, then you will get more scans and appointments then a younger mum may (does depend on how old a mum you are though!)

Monkeypuzzle32 · 08/06/2017 15:25

Lionqueen I self referred to the hospital so they do know the basics, and I am quite a bit older than most on here I think (geriatric!) I am 11w 6 and will be 12w 3 on Monday- think its pretty late myself. I just expected a bit more than this!

ew1990 · 08/06/2017 15:41

When you see your mw @Monkeypuzzle32 ask for the form you fill it in and send it off for your exemption card xx

Monkeypuzzle32 · 08/06/2017 15:46

I will do ew1990 I'll let you all know how it goes!

ew1990 · 08/06/2017 17:34

I've got just one more shift on Saturday and then I'm off for 11 days, I can't wait 😊 xx

MistyBxx · 08/06/2017 17:41

Thank you all so much girlies! I will defo be hovering around this thread although you're all so far ahead of me now lol. Can't believe back in March time was dragging so much, every day was so slow, and now you're all 16-17-18 weeks! Amazing 😍 hope it goes quickly for me this time too!!
Oh a lovely GIRL mrsj how lush 🌸
I will pop on to keep you updated and just going to try and relax and enjoy this journey xxx

KeepingItReal2017 · 08/06/2017 20:25

Hey ladies!
Looks like everyone is OK. I was after some much needed thoughts...

Problem 1 - I probably can't have the Nuchal scan on NHS as I am out of the country between wks 11 and 15. Did you all have it? I know that I can have the anomaly scan around 20 weeks. But did anyone opt out of Nuchal scan and why?

Problem 2 - looks like I might not get an early NHS scan so I will book private at 10 weeks + 5. At this stage, all being well, would you tell friends and family? Or would you wait until the following week and tell everyone at 12 weeks?

Thanks xoxo

ew1990 · 08/06/2017 20:30

I had one around ten weeks and started telling close people, then told everyone at my 12 week one, I didn't have the tests done at the 12 week scan x
