Fantastic news about scans ladies!
What is your EDD JC? You must be due around the same time as me x

JCleRoux · 07/06/2017 14:06

TootsyBella84 · 07/06/2017 14:14

conkerchops · 07/06/2017 15:58

Yay congratulations on the good scans @peach And @JC - so lovely to log in a read good news!

grainmum · 07/06/2017 16:09

Yay good news @peachgreen and @JCleRoux.

I'm just back from scan/consultant appointment and fluid levels reduced but stable, baby small but growing steadily so not much change here. Also met a nice neonatal Dr who chatted to us about what they might need to do to help/support baby after delivery. On the whole her message was a positive one, I was expecting there might be more doom and gloom, so I am quite relieved. She took us to see NICU too so I now can picture where baby might be after birth which is comforting. Everything crossed we won't be there for a good few weeks yet (26+4 today).

Have you had yours yet @SayItIsntSo1?

SayItIsntSo1 · 07/06/2017 16:39

Hi Grain, yes scan done this morning. Met the new consultant and he seemed ok, just told me to be vigilant above movements and to come in without hesitation if I think they're reduced. Glad your scan went ok. Do you think they'll induce you early or let you go to term if all stays stable?

Good news on your scans Peach and JCle.

GingerHanna · 07/06/2017 16:56

Good news Grain. Fingers crossed it gets better each time!

So pleased for all the good news on the thread! Congrats JC & Grain x

grainmum · 07/06/2017 18:34

@say I think they will plan delivery somewhere between 34 and 37 weeks, at the moment baby seems to vary between transverse and breech so looks most likely c section.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 07/06/2017 19:23

And even more good news! Fantastic, JC and grain.

Have my scan tomorrow morning - feeling pretty awful about it. Keep trying to tell myself that even if it's as bad as I fear at least that'll be an answer - I think I'd rather have bad news than stay in limbo.

JCleRoux · 07/06/2017 20:55

Thanks everyone. It's becoming a little bit more real. Appreciate all the support so far.

@ToostyBella84 our EDDs are really close! Smile

@grainmum and @SayItIsntSo1 I am glad your scans and appointments also went well.

@grainmum how often will you need to go for check ups. Sending you some positive vibes Flowers

@LisaSimpsonsbff hope everything goes well with your scan tomorrow and that you get some good news Flowers. Here for some hand hold.

Thattwatoverthere · 07/06/2017 20:56

I got my first positive test today putting me at 4+5 Grin.

I had a MMC last October at 6+4 (I think) so very nervous but excited. It was totally unplanned and a very big shock but I'm really happy.

I'm sure the doctor at my D&C said I could have an early scan due to the MC. Not sure how long to leave it before I call the doctor to be honest, any tips on when to do it?

Good luck lisa , I hope you get good news Flowers

mammabear4 · 07/06/2017 20:57

Fantastic scan news everyone, congrats!! 😄
Good luck for tomorrow lisa will be thinking of you. Definitely agree it's just being able to put your mind at rest, the waiting is horrendous.

3 weeks today for me for my 12 week scan. Sick of these AF like cramps and aches, and this bloody continuous bleeding/ browny discharge. After the awful encounter I had on the phone with the EPU really feel like I can't ring them again but this anxiety of not knowing what's going on is killing me 😞

peachgreen · 07/06/2017 20:59

@Thattwatoverthere Congratulations! Lovely news! I had a MMC in October and am pregnant for the second time. I went to the doctor at 5+5 and originally arranged a reassurance scan for 8 weeks (privately) as I didn't want to go until I could be sure of seeing a heartbeat, but had to go today (6+4) as I'd had some bleeding. If you can wait until 8 weeks I'd recommend it as I think having a scan where you can't see a heartbeat can be very worrying. (Luckily we were able to today.) But really you have to just do whatever feels right!

peachgreen · 07/06/2017 21:00

@mammabear4 Are you able to arrange a private scan? I don't know where you're based but they're quite reasonable here and worth every penny I would imagine. If not I'd go to your GP and get a referral so the EPU can't say no!

peachgreen · 07/06/2017 21:01

@LisaSimpsonsbff Will be thinking of you tomorrow. You're right - any answer is better than limbo. Flowers

yellowfrontdoor · 07/06/2017 21:04

Lisa good luck for tomorrow Smile

grainmum · 07/06/2017 21:43

@JC I'm going back in 3 weeks

grainmum · 07/06/2017 21:43

Thanks ladies. Think going through my GP might be the way forward utter

So annoying when last time I was at the EPU they said to me you're on open access now so can just ring up here if you have any more bleeding and don't have to go through your GP!!

Good luck for today lisa! Xx
