Hi all!
Hope you're all ok, sorry to those with issues really hope they're proven to be nothing but normal.

I had a bit of a panicky few hours earlier. I'm 20+4 today and was at work. Felt a sudden gush of fluid, went to the loo and my knickers were soaked with liquid, not wee as didn't smell or anything. Told my colleagues and called DH who rushed to my work and called mau from there, they told me to go straight in so jumped on my car.
Had to wait for a an or so, they did a test to see if it was amniotic fluid or not, luckily it was negative! They said I've got lots of discharge but so is closed tight so they took swabs to see what this discharge is as it's too much to be normal and that's what's gushing out. Even more so now they've been in there! They checked me and LO all is fine but I've never felt so panicked in my whole life.
One of my colleagues said the colour drained from me and they knew something was wrong but glad everything is ok.
Emotional wreck this evening cuddling my bump tight 😓

@AmyB1986 are you seeing them for follow up again soon? Hopefully this discharge settles but if there's no change in the next few days I would contact your midwife or the hospital again, it sounds distressing and rather sudden.

@Sweety I've had terrible pains, sometimes sharp, in my back and tummy, they make me so anxious, had them on and off this whole pregnancy and sometimes I did take paracetamol. Mine are I think just related to trapped gas and constipation (lovely!) You'd be surprised how painful it can be. The hormones slow your digestive system right down. Does the pain tend to ease a bit after you've gone to the loo? It could be something as simple as that. X

12+3 today and it's scan day. I feel so sick with nerves on top of my normal sickness. Just what I need. Please keep fingers and toes crossed for me! Xx

I'm so sorry for what you're going through, peach - I know there's nothing anyone can say, but I so hope that today passes quickly for you and tomorrow brings good news.

@grainmum they said they would call me with the results either way to make a plan from there. It was so scary and really sudden. Hadn't had any discharge since 6 weeks until yesterday. I'm thinking maybe it's thrush although I don't itch now, I did but the only thing they found was strep b which I've now been treated for.
I'll keep an eye on it and if it happens again I'll be straight back to mau.
This happened when I had my twins but I ignored it and we all know how that ended, don't want that to happen again

Huge hand holding and hugs @peach and @mamabear - keeping everything crossed that things settle down and today passes quickly and smoothly and that you both get good positive answers tomorrow ! @mamabear have you called the EPU about a follow up scan?

Got app with lady doc at 10. Had mild pain all night im sure its related to the wee infection but its worrying me i hope baby is safe

@Hazandduck i think you are right hun & i so hope too. After 3 mc everything & anything scares you. Got app with doc at 10 fingers crossed

@JCleRoux I just feel drained this morning. No more discharge or anything yet. Hoping it stays away

noroom welcome to the thread! I remember you from the TTC after MC thread; we had mc about the same time. I'm 10+4 today and every day past the point of my last mc (10 weeks exactly) gives me a bit more faith, although there have been some anxiety wobbles for sure; I hope it's the same for you!

TootsyBella good luck for your scan today! I know it's scary but I hope it'll be amazing and you see a healthy bean

AmyB that's so unfair, you'd think by 20 weeks you could just be enjoying the second trimester! I hope it's nothing wrong and you get an answer quickly.

I'm sorry for everyone having a tough time of it. I hope scans and tests are positive for you all.

I'm ticking along, gone over a week without a major panic which feels like a big deal. 24+1 today and have another scan and consultant appointment tomorrow. I need to start to make some decisions about what further checks I want and get my head around birth plan at some point. I said after dd I'd be requesting a section but it doesn't feel as clear cut as that anymore and I'm sure I'd have a fight on my hands to get it agreed.

Really hoping lots of you have good news this week to keep you going. The first 12 weeks are brutal even when it's all going smoothly.

I don't know how to feel this morning. Woke up and my sore boobs have gone almost entirely after being really agonising for the past few days. Also I lost 3lbs overnight. So that's bad. No more bleeding overnight but last time I usually got it during the day. On the other hand, I've just been sick for the first time, so I guess that's good?

I rang the EPU earlier and the nurse I spoke to was really shitty and patronising with me. I'm so pissed off. She said you've already had three scans and everything was fine, you can't just expect a scan every 2 weeks, what you're looking for is a reassurance scan and we don't do those, and if it is the start of a miscarriage a scan isn't going to help you. I held off ringing because I didn't want to waste their time but the anxiety has definitely got on top of me. She made me feel ridiculous. And I've only had 3 scans so far because I had to keep coming back with there being so much uncertainty especially around the second sac it's not like I've been ringing up and booking myself in when I just fancy seeing the babies ffs! So no answers 😞

So sorry about the horrible nurse, mammabear: it sounds like she lacked both empathy and professionalism. If you feel like the anxiety's getting unbearable, do you think it might be worth paying for a private scan?

Am pretty much counting down the minutes to this scan on Thursday, even though I keep telling myself that I already know it won't be good news... I am at least very certain of my dates, so know there can't be any wiggle room for hope there.

Thanks @peachgreen @mammabear4 yes ive been to the dic she said sounds like infection but she checked my wee & she said only few white cells so gonna send it to the lab now. Thats all nothing else she said

I just got the call back from my doc to say my HCG went from 722 to 2170 in 71 hours so looks good from here. Just need to make it to booking in and I will be officially further than I have been ever before!
