Thanks so much @TheLegendOfBeans for sharing this thread with me.

I really need some support as I been feeling pretty anxious. I had a mc on the 24th of April at 8 weeks, was my first pregnancy and as you can imagined oh and I were over the moon when we first found out we were expecting... Unfortunately things didn't go well. I started spotting at around 5 weeks, went for a scan at 6 to confirm all was good and they booked me another one at 8 weeks but a day before I had my mc.

This past Saturday I found out we were pregnant again. I am assuming for 3 weeks but I cannot be happy. I am so scared because for the past 2 weeks I been spotting a bit and that just makes me believe another mc will happen. Anyone can share their experiences with me please? I feel that I am going insane and I don't want to share the news with anyone just yet...

theotherendofthesockportal · 29/05/2017 17:25

@user1495957382 (I think I got the right user) sorry to hear that you had a mc. You will be amongst good company on this board.

I found out after my mmc at 13 weeks (baby stopped growing around 8/9weeks) that 1 in 3 first pregnancies end in miscarriage. I drove myself mad googling "why has this happened." I now 15 weeks, and still anxious.

I told my midwife at my booking in appointment about my anxiety and she has bent over backwards to support me. I am stating to see a mental health midwife and will be doing a 10 week cbt course. I am probably an extreme case of anxiety but the support is there if you ask for it.

I wish I could say that I am enjoying pregnancy but I'm not. I will only be happy once my baby is here. I have found this group on MN a huge support.

I am wishing you well with your pregnancy 💐

JCleRoux · 29/05/2017 19:13

Hi @user. I am so sorry about your loss. Flowers

After a number of losses I can understand how being pregnant can be such a stressful time.

Can you maybe book an early scan for reassurance? I had two scans before I booked a midwife appointment and that helped somewhat. I am still very anxious though and think will stay that way until there is a baby in my arms.

conkerchops · 29/05/2017 19:24

Very tentatively joining - got our bfp yesterday after two mmc - one at 8 weeks in October and one at 12 weeks at the end of march - have had one period since that one so feel both incredibly fortunate it has happened so quickly for us again - and terrified that the same will happen again!!!
I found the ttc after
Miscarriage thread so encouraging and supportive so have hopped on here for some
Serious hand holding through these early weeks!
I don't feel ready to say anything to anyone in real life yet - not sure at what point I will ? So v lovely to have a mumsnet place to come and share!

emwithme · 29/05/2017 21:15

Hi guys! Got a BFP this morning, 4+0 (DH wouldn't let me test earlier, he hid the sticks, but I've been wanting to POAS since Friday!), following MC at 7/8 weeks in March (started bleeding at 7+2, had scan, measured 5+4 but apparently all OK, bleeding continued, confirmed MC at what would've been 8+3, passed empty sac three days later).

Trying so hard not to worry about the next however long but failing miserably!

yellowfrontdoor · 29/05/2017 21:22

Conker and em so many bfps from thread 10! Smile congratulations xx

Going to call my gp tomorrow, not sure if I can self-refer to my midwife or if they have to see me again... I have no idea of my dates because my cycles are soooo long anyway (around 40day mark).

Anyone else get pregnant after mc with no period in between?

NoParticularPattern · 29/05/2017 21:51

Just realised I never replied @peachgreen!! I'm 4+5 today and no more signs of anything sinister.

I'm also ringing docs tomorrow in the hope of speaking to the lovely doctor I saw when I was last in there for screwy cycles. Hoping she will either refer me for an 8-10 weeks ish scan or will get me booked with the midwife early so they can do it. Fingers crossed everyone is nice to me haha!!

Sweetyboo · 29/05/2017 22:47

Wellcome @user1495957382. It must be very hard & horrible having it as a 1st pg my 1st pg was PERFECT. Had a perfect birth & a perfect boy he is 5 & i had 3 mc in bw pg again 9 weeks today. Scared but keeping hopes up

Sweetyboo · 29/05/2017 22:50

Ladies just be4 i find out i was pg i suddenly got acne spots on my jawline, (near & under both ears) still same its been more then 2 months what sud i be doing?? should i talk to the doc? But my docs are so crap i alwas come home not happy coz they dont help much. Worried. Google says related to hormones or stress. Sud i be going to doc to have hormones level check???

WLMcI · 30/05/2017 10:18

Sweetyboo it's perfectly normal; I had that in my first pregnancy--not lots of teenage acne, just a few spots that refused to heal for months. What happens is this: after you finish puberty, your skin gets used to the very specific balance of hormones in your body and it calms down. Now you're pregnant, your body is once again a battleground for 3 hormones, testosterone, oestrogen, and progesterone. It's the progesterone that your body isn't used to, and that's what gives you morning sickness and digestive problems; and the imbalance between the 3 can cause skin problems. Eventually the oestrogen will win and give you the enviable pregnancy hair and skin and nails, but for now you'll just have to be spotty pregnant! Grin

DoctorDonnaNoble · 30/05/2017 10:35

Had scan. Now only measuring three days smaller than LMP suggested. Feeling a little more relaxed now.

Donna
That is fantastic news. Delighted for you.

peachgreen · 30/05/2017 11:14

@Donna That's wonderful, congratulations! What a relief. So pleased for you.

@Sweety My skin is normally so well-behaved but since I got pregnant it's been a complete state!

emwithme · 30/05/2017 11:27

sweety it's normal. I am spottier right now than I ever was as a teenager. The only time I was spottier than this was during my MC. And they're the really deep, sore, red spots. Last week it felt like someone had repeatedly flicked my chin.

Made my booking appt with the midwife this morning. It will be at the point where we had the MC last time.

GingerHanna · 30/05/2017 11:50

Welcome to all the new joiners, you're in good hands here! Great news Donna... you must be so relieved.

Just a quick check in to say all is well here. Bump has suddenly appeared and had my midwife intake and 16w check up today. All is well, heartbeat strong and baby feels big and strong to them! May have shed a tear or twenty when I heard the heartbeat!

20w scan booked in for 5 July (I will be 20+5 but on holiday the week before) and looking to get a gender scan privately in the next week or two so we can tell family when we visit the UK at the end of the month.

JCleRoux · 30/05/2017 13:31

Congrats @donna. The scan looks good! Very pleased for you.

@Sweety I've been suffering with spots as well just below my ears on my jawline. So annoying but glad to hear it's all normal.

poppylou27 · 30/05/2017 13:54

May I join?

I had a MMC end of March (9 weeks but only growth until 7).. it was my first pregnancy) and found out a couple of days ago I am pregnant.. The anxiety hasn't set in yet but I guarantee it'll hit me soon enough, just need some hand-holding through the next few difficult weeks!
Xxx

SayItIsntSo1 · 30/05/2017 13:56

Great news Doctor! How far along does that make you now? Just noticed your info is on the scan pic, in case you want to remove/edit.

And lovely to hear you're 16wks already Ginger! That seems to have flown by but I bet it hasn't felt like that for you. Hopefully not too long and you'll be getting some reassuring kicks Smile

DoctorDonnaNoble · 30/05/2017 14:16

Not hugely bothered no. If someone cared enough they could probably work out who I was anyway on here!
This scan made me 9+4.

Hazandduck · 30/05/2017 14:27

Hi everyone, and hello and congratulations to all the newcomers!

Had my 16 week appointment today too, was very nervous, despite feeling the baby flitting around as I was waiting, and the midwife said I definitely had a bump! I thought I was hiding it quite well but the last few days a definite bump has popped out...

Have tentatively started to tell a few close friends and family now. Say it is crazy how fast the weeks are going. The early weeks are definitely the longest!

Midwife asked us if we thought it sounded like a galloping horse or a train, I said horse, OH said train, both at the same time, without knowing which was which. Apparently boys sound like trains and girls like horses? Who knew ha.

Hazandduck · 30/05/2017 14:28

Donna really pleased for you that your baby has caught up. Those early scans are sometimes more stressful than just waiting. x

GingerHanna · 30/05/2017 14:48

Dammit Hazard mine sounded like a horse today and that would mean that DH is right! We'll find out next Thursday hopefully as have a private scan booked (I'm happy either way but think it's a boy).

Glad your appointment went well... we're keeping aligned on all our dates so far!

Sweetyboo · 30/05/2017 15:18

Thanks @WLMcI yes this pg is very diff & hard. I hate milk in this pg never be4.

Sweetyboo · 30/05/2017 15:20

My 9 w scan tom. Need all the good vibes ladies. Scared

Hazandduck · 30/05/2017 16:05

Yes we are! Glad yours did, too Ginger! It's so exciting having others experience the same stages :)

Well I think it's a boy and so does OH, but hearing the heartbeat made me doubt it now. We still aren't 100% decided if we will find out or not, I kind of want to wait but a bit of me is just bursting to know as well. Have you had any dreams where you've known what you're having? I dreamt it was a boy the other night!

Have you got your 20 week scan booked? You're not in the UK are you, not sure if it all works the same, but they reminded me to get a whooping cough vaccination whilst I was there in case you've not booked yours yet!
