Donna
What a nightmare for you. But really hope you can focus on the fact that at that stage the epu have written on my notes +|- 5 days for both of the scans, one at 6+3 and the other at 7+1. So you dates being out could easily be a combination of a bad measure due to either bean position or your own uterus (I have read that some people with slight tilts in uterus are very hard to date early on), combine that with an ovulation date that was even a couple of days out and there you go. And remember that the difference in measure between those dates is a couple of mm. Which are really hard to measure.
I know none of that will ease your worry, please have a hand hold as well. When is your next scan??
Try and distract yourself as best you can today.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 20/05/2017 09:22

Next scan is the 30th May. And I'll have to go on my own again. If it hadn't been for having a missed miscarriage it would be fine. Keep trying to tell myself that that was an earlier loss than this and that hearing the heartbeat is a REALLY good sign but it's not particularly helping. Particularly as I had to go and change my 12 week scan immediately after aw she thought with the size she measured it would be too early for the NT measurements. But I thought they could do that from 10 weeks so I think she was wrong but there we go.

Sweetyboo · 20/05/2017 09:45

I wokeup & cook breakfast & i wasnt feeling sick at all😲😵surprise & worried. By 7 w does sickness goes???

Miami81 · 20/05/2017 10:05

Sweety
I think symptoms can come and go a lot for some people. Especially so early on. Your body is working so hard at the moment some days will just be better then others.

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 20/05/2017 10:08

@DoctorDonnaNoble I know what you mean. Please try not to worry. 30 May will give a meaningful amount of time for a change in measurement so it makes sense, but if you don't want to wait that long can you attend a walk in some time in between?

Miami81 · 20/05/2017 10:10

Donna
Not sure about NT measures, they definitely only scan from 12 weeks here.
I know you can get harmony from around 10 though so yeah that probably makes sense.
I'm a bit annoyed on your behalf that she has stressed you out that much and made you change appointments etc, it probably could have waited until after your scan on the 30th. Sometimes I think they forget that this is our entire worlds at the moment and small things that health professionals say cause all kinds of anxiety and lots of googling. I am planning to distract myself with a bit of baking later on. Try and make a plan for today. And then tomorrow you can make another plan. It's hard but each day just needs to be got through at the moment.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 20/05/2017 10:14

Now I'm on their books as it were I can just call them but I know I should wait really. It hasn't even been a week. I know that EPU people are honest. They're not in the business of giving out false hope and she seemed perfectly happy. It was just more clear cut with DS1 but then they mad the appointment for him at the booking in appointment so it was probably a bit later (nearer 10 weeks I suppose)

Sweetyboo · 20/05/2017 10:30

But @Miami81 i had nausea from 5 weeks & last 3 days i was being sick & suddly today no nausea or sickness so i got worried

Miami81 · 20/05/2017 10:34

Oh sweety I understand the worry, I'm just saying that the symptoms can be very changeable from day to day.

beckieperk · 20/05/2017 10:47

Hi all. Can I join?? 1 healthy pregnancy 6 years ago.....so ds nearly 6. Struggled to conceive for nearly 2 years....misscarried in Dec 2013. Had to go back on pill for a year due to work etc. Then struggled to conceive again so due to age was put on chlomid. Conceived in Nov last year. Miscarried in jan this year. 3rd round of chlomid i conceived again in march. Now 9 weeks pregnant but struggling to relax. Having some tummy pains......but midwife suspects water infection. Awaiting results. Symptoms of water infection very similar to mc so I am freaking out. Any words of advice?? Reading all stories and I have very mixed emotions. X

TootsyBella84 · 20/05/2017 11:49

Hello all!

So I'm 10 weeks today. Double figures! (10+2 according to early scans but I'm sticking with my own dates for now)
In my previous 2 pregnancies at 10 weeks I was having surgical management of mc and the one before that my body was already half way through miscarrying so I feel like I've hit a kind of Milestone today! So nervous for 12 week scan🤢 June 6th can't come quick enough x

grainmum · 20/05/2017 13:52

Hello to the new joiners, Drdonna I sometimes think they should give a date range not an exact figure, when you see the grainy images a mm here or there may make quite a big difference.

Milestone for me today - 24 weeks. Theoretically should be happy, but ongoing amniotic fluid loss, fairly regular braxton hicks at times squeezing a bit more fluid out.... and although last scan on weds was basically same as previous, consultant was a bit more guarded in his outlook compared to previously when he has been upbeat and saying "we hope to get you much further on". Plenty movements, just hypervigilance with every other sensation and expecting to go into labour at any moment.

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 20/05/2017 17:05

@beckieperk & @TootsyBella84 - fingers crossed for you both

@grainmum - and you as well. Must be so stressful. Are you on bedrest?

Stealthtoast · 21/05/2017 11:39

7 weeks today, and while I've been reassured by morning sickness starting the day before yesterday and still going on today, I've also stated bleeding a bit- tiny bit yesterday then small amounts of brown and then red blood now. And mild period type pains. I had bleeding in my first (successful) pregnancy but I don't remember any pains. It's so weird just thinking there's nothing I can do and just need to wait - the epu isn't open on a Sunday so can't even go and have a scan...

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 21/05/2017 16:37

Oh @Stealthtoast - hope everything is ok. Will you go tomorrow morning?

Stealthtoast · 21/05/2017 19:42

I think so - I may have an important meeting at work so just need to find out! I've got worse cramps now too so am not very hopeful, even though there are people in that zombie thread above saying they had bleeding and cramps and were ok. I've been trying not to think of this pregnancy as even real, but that hasn't worked at all at stopping me being upset! i think i might need to move to the mc board as i don't want to bring you all this thread down with worrying

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 21/05/2017 19:49

I'm pretty new to this thread but I'm pretty sure none of the amazing ladies in here is going to agree with your reasoning there for moving! Do you have a walk in near you you can get to working around that meeting? Better to check and know, than to suffer in silence, no? Confused

grainmum · 21/05/2017 21:58

stealth absolutely not a reason for moving - have another hand to hold! How are you feeling now? Hope you get some rest tonight, it's so worrying but sending you lots of positive vibes and hopefully you will get some answers soon xx

Stealthtoast · 21/05/2017 23:09

I'm going in first thing in the morning - luckily the meeting isn't till later. I can't believe that cramps like this can be ok so am pretty much expecting bad news. thank you for the support!

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 21/05/2017 23:40

Good luck @Stealthtoast. Will be crossing fingers for you

DoctorDonnaNoble · 22/05/2017 05:13

Oh @Stealthtoast! Hope you're alright this morning.

Miami81 · 22/05/2017 08:21

Thinking of you this morning @Stealthtoast. Fingers crossed for just some random bleeding.
I have had lots of random bleeding and had scans to check. All was ok. I have since had another episode of bleeding and am in the epu this afternoon for another scan at 8+6. Trying to stay positive but seeing blood is just very very difficult, especially after experiencing a mc.

SayItIsntSo1 · 22/05/2017 09:34

Good luck today Stealth and Miami. I hope you both get positive news.

I have had to turn around and come home from work this morning as I have an upset stomach. Again. Starting to get a bit fed up and worried as to what it could be, but not sure if it's just the joys of pregnancy. It's feeling a bit much managing my normal workload and everything else at home.

22wks today.

Stealthtoast · 22/05/2017 10:18

Bad news I'm afraid : I've had a miscarriage. They couldn't see much on the scan so the pregnancy must have failed at an early stage. Thanks for all your best wishes, and hope to be back on the thread soon.
