Hazandduck · 17/05/2017 14:07

Also congratulations Donna and mama on the healthy scans - wowsers, twins!! How exciting. X

GruffaloSoldier · 17/05/2017 16:20

Oops, just realised I wasn't on the right thread when I posted earlier Blush I am sorry about that! It's definitely pregnancy brain at its finest. I'm super embarrassed! So sorry to impose BlushFlowers

WLMcI · 17/05/2017 19:07

Thank you for remembering, all! Today's scan went brilliantly Smile It was the first time I've ever had a good scan, and it was so amazing to see the little heart beating away! Baby measures about 5 or 6 days behind my dates, but my dates were screwy anyway because it was my first period after MC, so it was several days longer than normal; plus there's a margin of error this early. So I'm 7+6 today until proven otherwise at the 12 week scan, and happily pregnant! Smile I've been telling work colleagues and the rest of my family (Mom already knew), so it's a good day! X

Sweetyboo · 17/05/2017 20:49

Thats great news @WLMcI im 7w & 3 days today got another scan on the 31st fingers crossed. Alwas tired & hungry. Boobs are so sore too

mammabear4 · 17/05/2017 22:44

Ah that's brilliant @WLMcl so so pleased for you! 😊💓 xx

Corrinax · 18/05/2017 07:27

Hi everyone please help 😣

Im 19 weeks and dont feel pregnant at all i dred every scan incase i get told theres no heartbeat again!

I dont have a bump i cant feel any flutters or anything i have a scan on sunday and i am shitting myself basically

Just would like to know if anyone else is feeling the same or has had the same at 19 weeks? I wake up feeling extreamly not pregnant like i would never know if it wasnt for not having periods!!

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 18/05/2017 14:04

Hi there

Have just joined mumsnet.

Am 36 and am currently 11+5. No other children of my own (yet!). Will be having my next scan on Monday at 12+2. Super nervous as I had an MMC in December which we devastatingly found out about at that 12 week scan. That we conceived again so quickly was amazing, but it doesn't do much for the fear factor, especially when there are days that we are still raw about last year. Do send us happy thoughts and luck for Monday!

@Corrinax - I'm still suffering from 1st tri symptoms but I do know what you mean. On days when I feel better, I suddenly worry if that means something's happened to Bump! I think that the mantra here is absolutely right though - unless proven otherwise, we have to keep believing that today, we are pregnant Smile It's hard, especially for those of us who know all too well how wrong things can go, but we have to keep positive, right?

Are you due for your 20 week scan soon?

mammabear4 · 19/05/2017 06:37

Hi new people 😊👋 this thread is great I've found all the ladies super supportive.

@corrinax I'm afraid I'm not much help re symptoms/movements at 19 weeks, I can't remember with DD what was going on at that time! I'm sure if you were to contact your midwives with any concerns they would be understanding and accommodating considering your previous history of MC. Is your 20 week scan soon?

@dirtygrubbybikerchick the wait is the absolute worst isn't it. "A special kind of stress" is another very apt phrase coined on this thread!! Will the 12 week scan be your first or have you had any early scans?

mammabear4 · 19/05/2017 06:40

I've been trying to send the above message since yesterday - phone has been playing up!

So I'm back on major anxiety alert here. Last night I couldn't get comfortable to go to sleep, felt like I had really bad trapped wind and went to the toilet, there was lots of bright red blood 😩 I put a pad in, took some paracetamol and managed to sleep but have woken up exactly the same - red bleeding and now passing gas but feels slightly painful. Now I have two little beans to worry about as well!!

Corrinax · 19/05/2017 07:21

@mamma @dirty
Me too my messages wouldnt send either!
Anyway i hav my 20 weeks scan in 2 weeks but iv booked a private scan for sunday to find out the gender!

So i suppose i will find out for sure whats going on then but im just so scared of bad news again, i heard heartbeat at midwife app 2 weeks ago but that means nothing until i see my baby is ok i just feel totally normal like i wasnt even pregnant and just wish he would reassure me his ok in there

WLMcI · 19/05/2017 07:40

mammabear I hope everything's OK; I think I would ring whoever it is you're meant to (MW or GP or EPU, it seems to be a different process everywhere). Surely with twins you're automatically considered a special case and they're likely to be extra understanding, right? X

pickledsausage · 19/05/2017 08:11

Yay I've found the thread again, I lost you and couldn't find you anywhere!!

@mamma amazing news about twins but I hope you are ok, definitely go and get checked out.

I had my first scan on Monday and everything was as it should be @ 7 weeks, heartbeat, right measurement etc. A fuzzy blob but our fuzzy blob :) feeling quite positive at the moment but am sure as I get closer to the next scan date I will get serious panic again.

For anyone under private miscarriage treatment, when you register your pregnancy with the NHS how do they tend to react when you tell them what drugs you're taking? I'm on steroids, cyclogest & having 2 lots of intralipids. I feel like they're going to tell me off!!

mammabear4 · 19/05/2017 08:15

Thanks ladies. Had to come to work today as I work on a supply basis and need the money! I'll ring the EPU at lunchtime they usually book in for Tuesdays so hopefully I'll get booked in for then. The weekend will be agonising!

AmyB1986 · 19/05/2017 09:18

Just caught up on a bit of the thread.

Congrats to all with positive scans!

@mammabear4 congrats on the twins. As for the bleeding, I really hope it stops but I can say not all bleeding has a bad ending. My dd1 is proof of that, I had a full on heavy bright red bleed with her. It was so scary I was almost positive she was gone, she wasn't.

@Corrinax I don't feel pregnant either half the time. Feeling a few bumps and flutters but not enough to reassure me and keep thinking maybe it's more gas than the baby. I'm a week behind you.

We are going for our private gender and 3D scan today. I'm excited but really really nervous! I've used my Doppler this morning to check baby and heart is beating fast and can hear that it's moving loads in there even though I can't feel much of it.
I've got my money on another girl but dh is convinced it's a boy as I've been so much better with symptoms this pregnancy. We were both awake at 5.30 with nervous tummies, must be in sync.
It's our wedding anniversary also on Sunday so this is our present to each other 😊

Hope everyone has a good Friday

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 19/05/2017 18:52

@mammabear4 Really hope you manage to get into the EPU and they can reassure you. Is it heavy enough (soaking whole pads) for you to consider going to A&E?

I've had 2 scans so far - 7+3 (to rule our ectopic) and 8+5 (brown blood and weird pinky brown clot scare) - and both were absolutely fine. But of course I know (unfortunately) that good previous scans don't rule out future complications so still very very nervous about Monday. The fact that my nausea has almost nearly but not quite disappeared over the last 2 days and my boobs are now starting to hurt significantly less is also worrying - I know it's about the right time and I should be happy about it but I just keep wondering about the worst! Still, trying hard to keep those happy, positive thoughts.

@pickledsausage Yay! Amazing news re fuzzy blob

@Corrinax & @AmyB1986 Good luck with your scans! And happy anniversary, Amy!

Went to the Baby Show at the NEC today. Too early but it's basically the biggest in the country and the next one (Olympia) is not till end Oct, which will be VERY late. Got a helluva lot of free samples and info about buggies! Confused Mind boggling haha

SayItIsntSo1 · 19/05/2017 19:06

Hello! Just checking in.

Great news on all the positive scans this week and hello to all the new joiners!

We've had a good day. Me, DH and DD went to the beach and had a lovely time at the aquarium, scoffing fish and chips and ice cream, and dipping our toes. DD has probably only been on a beach a couple of times and too small to really remember, she had a blast!

I am feeling much more regular movements but it's still tough on days like today where I'm busy and miss most of them. Hoping I get a few reassuring kicks tonight while I'm still.

21+4 today. Next scan at 24+2 so a while to wait but I'm hanging on in there.

AmyB1986 · 19/05/2017 19:52

It's a girl!! 💗

lightgreenglass · 19/05/2017 20:06

Congratulations Amy.

Corrinax I didn't feel pregnant with my first till about 24 weeks as I had an anterior placenta so I didn't feel movements as well as others. Take some comfort that if you feel normal then that is normal as you're supposed to feel great in the second trimester.

I've been a bag of nerves for the last couple of days as it had been over two weeks from my harmony test. I rang them today and they had the results but hadn't sent them across to me and all trisomys come back as low risk. So that's a big relief. I forgot to ask what the sex is but not too concerned as I will probably find out on Tuesday when I go for a cardiac and anomaly scan or I can wait for the letter.

15+1 today, not far off when I miscarried last time but today has given me a boost. I had a good sob earlier so am feeling better.

Corrinax · 19/05/2017 20:14

Congrats @amy i hope i get to find out the sex on sunday eeeeek

SayItIsntSo1 · 19/05/2017 21:59

Congratulations Amy. Lovely news Smile

mammabear4 · 19/05/2017 22:07

Congrats Amy girls are the best!! 😊💖

bikerchick no def not soaking through pads. Just quite a bit of red blood last night and today it's just been browny stuff. No clots etc. Scan booked in for 8.20 on Tues, nice and early so DH isn't missing too much of work. Massive FX both little ones are ok. Same as you trying to stay positive - even seeing the little hb only reassures for a few days then it's back to anxiety over every little twinge or loss of symptoms - I totally relate!! Trying to remember - today I am pregnant! I'm massively bloated as well, almost got a little bump forming but I suppose that's expected for twins??

Say sounds like a lovely day. And great you're feeling little one moving so regularly!!

glass great news on your test results. Will your next scan be 20 weeks?

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 19/05/2017 23:28

@mammabear4 All crossable parts crossed for you and your little ones!

@AmyB1986 Congratulations!!!

@lightgreenglass Phew! Good luck with the next scan

DoctorDonnaNoble · 20/05/2017 07:42

Hey, I'm struggling after they put me back 8 days at the early scan (6.6 rather than 8). I heard the heart beat and everything is present and correct. They made an appointment to see me again at the EPU and it's on my notes that this is for reassurance due to my anxiety and the sonographer seemed really happy to have a nice start to her day. But, I can't shake the feeling that there is something wrong
