DoctorDonna good luck!!! My scan is at 1.15 this afternoon but DH is off today so I don't have to go alone this time which is so much better. Going to have sicky nerves all morning though!

I feel movement! Started to feel little bumps and bubbles yesterday then today full on tiny punches and kicks. I actually stood in the kitchen crying and talking to my belly! No one a part from family and two close friends know I'm pregnant yet, if anyone was watching me they'd think I'm mental talking to my flabby stomach and crying 😂

I did it. On my own too. Scan done. Only needed external no TV so that was good. Heard heartbeat which was lovely. BUT. Maths makes me 8 weeks spot on and bean was 8 days smaller than that. So, I have an appointment for a further reassurance scan in two weeks and had to go and ask the 'normal' ultrasound department to change my 12 week scan as would be borderline too early for NF measurement on the size it currently is. Trying not to get anxious as Dsil had this with every scan she had and DN was just shy of 7lbs.
Today I am definitely pregnant. I heard it.

doctordonna great news :). I had 2 early scans and then at my 12 week nhs one I was moved forward 8 days, the measurements are so small at this stage that's it's easy to have discrepancies as mm makes a massive difference to dates. And a heartbeat is fantastic news so well done, I'm sure all will be well x

DH and I are just driving back from hospital now in utter shock.

Is anyone here seeing a specialist midwife for mental health. I've been given one because of my history of anxiety. I met her for the first time today and cried and cried. She was lovely though.

6+4 here and put on my big girl pants and called to make my booking in appointment. Today I am pregnant

@Miami81 and @Hotpinkangel19 i have one because I have a history of anxiety and depression. The midwife who did my booking appointment as me if I would like to be referred and I said yes. I'm glad I did because my anxiety has gone through the roof since my mmc.

I want to enjoy this pregnancy but all that seems to happen is that I feel happy after I have scans then about 2 days later I become a wreck again.

I know there is no shame is asking for help and support, if I had a broken leg I would get a caste and crutches.

They mentioned it at my booking in, but at the moment I'm just on a watch extra carefully list.

Crikey mammabear TWINS! And congrats to the other scannees, I'm always relieved and happy to see good news.

"Twenty" week scan next Weds (at 19w). Impatient already. Just want it done.

In other news I've eaten a large curry and look like I'm carrying quads.

Hi, am 15+3 and feeling absolutely terrible. Have been fine for weeks but the last few days feel like I've been hit by a bus, haven't even got a bump yet but just can't get comfortable, is this normal?? Am normally very happy but am feeling pretty low

@Hotpinkangel19 my dad is an identical twin but that's not genetic apparently, just random! These little beans are fraternal twins! I suppose a big sign was the fact that I got a positive OPK for 4 days on the trot last month which I've NEVER had before - always just the one day - so looking back I must have released more than one egg?? I also wonder if my cramps this time are just major stretching of uterus occurring to accommodate for two? Aside from that I'm just EXHAUSTED. Much more than I was with DD. And constantly hungry!

Oh wow, congratulations DoctorDonna and mammabear! Wonderful to hear good news, and my goodness mammabear you got a surprise there! My first (8 week) scan is tomorrow at 11:30, don't know if I'll sleep much but feeling positive so far DH is going with me so it'll be amazing if we get to meet a baby with a heartbeat! Fx.
