TheLegendOfBeans · 12/05/2017 21:02

Fucking hell sock just go.

I was there yesterday befure getting triaged to Gynae. It was ok in the end. That's a good news story.

Just head out. A+E on a Friday night will be shit but just do it x

Miami81 · 12/05/2017 21:05

Sock
You will not rest properly until you have been seen to. You know it will be hanging over you. It will be shit, but you will feel better for having gone. Keep us posted.

theotherendofthesockportal · 12/05/2017 21:26

I have an phone a doctor anytime service through a work scheme. I have spoken to a gp, who had reassured me. I didn't think it was an emergency enough to take up a&es time.

The gp also told me that tiredness is still very common at 13 weeks and it's 15 weeks when most people get past 1st trimester tiredness. She took into consideration my medical history and said I definitely don't need a&e for a sore tongue. She had recommended that I up my doses of b12 and I am planning to talk to my midwife about this on Tuesday.

Thank you to all of you who replied to me, I do really appreciate it.

grainmum · 13/05/2017 09:54

That sounds like a good service sock glad you got some reassurance. FX none of us need the NHS this weekend suspect computer issues will be causing chaos.

Disturbing night for me last night, woken by DS @ 4.30 then seemed to be getting regular uncomfortable tightening. Eventually took some paracetamol and sat up and read my book for a while seemed to settle and back to normal this morning. Just hoping it's not a sign of anything...... was really preparing myself for the worst which probably didn't help the situation!

SayItIsntSo1 · 13/05/2017 17:08

Argh! You know how I said I'd choose DH over Chris Hemsworth- well not today!

He worked a night shift through the week and I've packed him off to bed today to catch up on sleep. After he's had two naps today and I entertained dd through a play date, he decided at 3pm he was going to start some DIY... I normally swim at 4pm on a Saturday or Sunday so asked him at 3.30 if I'd be ok to go... que him getting all shirty and saying all the jobs we want doing take time and didn't I realise etc. So I said, fair enough you've being resting all day, why start something now? Oh never mind I'll do something different and you carry on.

He came inside 10 minutes later, says he didn't hear me say I'd leave it, occupies dd for all of 10 minutes while I'm starting a workout then strops off upstairs.

FFS, I've married a man child.

I know this isn't the AIBU forum, but I would jolly love to sack the pair of them off and go eat McDonalds for dinner in peace!

I must say he's not normally this bloody useless, but I could do without it today.

I hope everyone else is having a lovely Saturday.

Are you feeling any better today Grain? And Sock?

DoctorDonnaNoble · 13/05/2017 17:33

Starting to build in anxiety as I get closer to early scan. Having had a MMC before the lack of any miscarriage signs isn't particularly reassuring. It's on Tuesday. We have no one to look after DS so he and DH will be outside feeding the ducks while I go in on my own. I'm trying to just not think about it.

WLMcI · 13/05/2017 17:54

DoctorDonna I have my early scan on Wednesday (at 7+6) and I know what you mean--I have no signs anything is going wrong, but I didn't last time for 2 weeks, either, so it isn't reassuring me! Nothing will change anyway as a result of my worrying about it, which is what I keep telling myself...not that that's really working lol! Fx for both of us that it really is absolutely fine, and some solidarity hand holding for you! Flowers

grainmum · 13/05/2017 18:38

Oh dear say sounds like you've had a trying day.

All back to "normal" here today, I just feel like rubbish due to lack of sleep, and having started to allow myself some positivity back to negative thinking.

doctordonna that's really tough to go on your own after your previous experience. Is there really no one at all you could ask? Or could you take DD in and just plug her into tablet and headphones? (Not ideal parenting but sometimes needs must)

DoctorDonnaNoble · 13/05/2017 19:32

He's only 19 months and not used to head phones yet. I'll be fine.

mammabear4 · 14/05/2017 09:49

Hi ladies hope everyone is doing ok. Been swamped in anxiety all week since Tues. Still getting very mild cramps and on thurs passed a massive clot when I went for a wee, just the one and then no more bleeding just the odd gritty bit of browny stuff. I've got my next scan on Tuesday and will only be about 6 weeks so I'm really unsure of what to even expect. Should I see a heartbeat?? I don't think I'm going to be at all reassured until 12 week scan. And don't think I'll be fully calm until I have a healthy baby in my arms. A special kind of stress indeed!

theotherendofthesockportal · 14/05/2017 11:06

@SayItIsntSo1 sorry to hear you have had a stressful day yesterday. I'm feeling better today the sore tongue seems to be on the mend. I'm sure I'm anaemic which explain the tiredness, I'm seeing the midwife on Tuesday so will mention it then.

Woke up this morning with stabbing pains in the boobs, never thought I would be happy to celebrate pain but I'm seeing it as a positive that everything is progressing nicely.

Wishing you all a happy Sunday

Pixie106 · 14/05/2017 12:01

Place marking and hope to be back on here again one day 🦋

SayItIsntSo1 · 15/05/2017 14:38

Thanks Sock and Grain. Sunday was better than Saturday but I've said to DH he needs to get some counselling sorted. He's only started having these really low days since his dad died but that was nearly 2years ago now. I'm not sure it's about his dad per se, he just can't seem to deal with stress in a less catastrophic way.

I have been feeling far more positive since bubs movements have been easier to feel the last few days. I have however had an achy feeling in my uterus since last night that is worrying me. It's not like period cramps but more of a heavy ache type feeling. I've still felt movements so hoping it's just stretching or something?

How's everyone else getting on?

Mama and WL I hope your scans are positive this week.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 15/05/2017 14:44

Scan tomorrow at 9. I'll be 8 weeks exactly. Feeling anxious sick now.

mammabear4 · 15/05/2017 16:11

Thanks say I'm glad you've felt more positive with feeling movements. Every little twinge or ache is bound to set off alarm bells in all of us whether 5 weeks, 15 weeks or towards end of pregnancy I think!!
doctordonna I'm with you on scan tomorrow, also feeling extremely anxious. I'll be 6 weeks bang on by LMP but 6+4 by date of conception.
Sweety did you have your scan yesterday?

MonkeyPoozzled76 · 15/05/2017 16:36

How have you got on today Haz?

Glad you a feeling better Sock, hope the midwife can give you some super strength iron to pep you up.

I've been too terrified to post about it but I had my Harmony test today together with a quick scan. Very pleased to report all looks good on the scan, just got to wait till Tuesday now for results and full 12 week scan. It was all done at the same clinic where I found out about my MMC last year so going back in there today was the most terrifying thing I've ever had to do, but I'm happy to report I am now more pregnant than I've ever been before. Still measuring 5 or 6 days ahead of my dates so I appear to be growing a giant.

(DISCLAIMER: I'm sure once the scan confidence wears off in a couple of days I'll be back to a big pile of anxiety and stress)

Good luck for tomorrow Donna

grainmum · 15/05/2017 17:18

say I reckon lots of stretching going on. It's really hard but I'm just trying not to attribute "meaning" to every little sensation, just acknowledge it's there and accept it - can you tell I just read a mindfulness book lol?!? I manage sometimes....

doctordonna everything crossed for you tomorrow, it's a hard wait. Hoping you can distract yourself this evening and get a reasonable night's sleep. At least you don't have a long hang around tomorrow.

TheLegendOfBeans · 15/05/2017 17:35

My back is so utterly fucking mangled I can barely walk and I'm only 17 weeks.

Bloody relaxin and it's wrecking ball effect on me again. Last time it fucked all my tendons up in my ankle which would've been ok if I had a baby to show for it but no; it was 9 weeks after I'd miscarried.

Today I'm grumpy.

Hotpinkangel19 · 15/05/2017 17:52

Hi, can I join you please??? I'm 7w 4days by LMP. 6w 2 days by ovulation as I ovulated on day 25, so late.
Last week I went for an early scan for suspected ectopic- I thought I was 6w 6 days, but I was measuring just under 5 weeks ☹️ (from ovulation worked out to be 5w 4 days) sonographer could see a 5.33mm sac with yolk inside. Pain was caused by cyst on my right ovary. I'm being re scanned in 2 days (Wed 17th) so a week later. I'm terrified that it's bad news. I'm scared of the cyst on my ovary, and I'm heartbroken because my mum only has weeks left to live. Plus when I found out I was pregnant I stopped my health anxiety medication. I'm in such a mess ☹️

Sweetyboo · 15/05/2017 20:34

Ladies is it normal?
I keep getting weird period kinda pain in low belly when go to loo. Taking antibiotics coz might be wee infection. But im super excused All the time. Like really tired & lazy. Belly all the time either hungry or bloated. Feel weird

theotherendofthesockportal · 15/05/2017 20:49

@Sweetyboo I feel the same as you. I'm going to see my midwife tomorrow and I'm going to ask if they can check me for anaemia.

I keep feeling twinges is my lower belly, I believe it's the muscles stretching. And I have a bit of bloat as I'm very constipated (sorry tmi)

Hazandduck · 15/05/2017 21:57

Hotpink I'm so sorry you are going through such a tough time, I'm so sorry about your mum. Will be thinking of you for your next scan, these early scans can be way off with dates so don't give up hope xxx

Monkey thank you for thinking of me, had my scan and I am 14 weeks exactly, due 13th of November, baby was being so badly behaved it took about an hour of me being tipped up, rocked side to side, jumping up and down and coughing before they got everything they needed, but we were happy with that because it meant longer watching bubs on the screen kicking its legs and waving hands at us! How are you feeling today? Xx

Staying posifrickentive- Thread 16 for ladies pg after mc
WLMcI · 16/05/2017 07:47

Sweety and sock yes, I've felt mild cramping just before and after going to the loo (the frequency of which has decreased because my digestion seems to have sloooooooowwwed right down!) I've put it down to the fact that you feel like that when you're constipated, which is my most prevalent symptom this time (I'm eating the damned prunes and everything!) But mine isn't painful and doesn't last long, so if you're worried about it then certainly see your GP or MW.

Haz what a beaut! How lovely to have that confirmation that all is as it should be Smile

Hotpink waving at you, also from the Jan club! I'm so sorry about this awful time for you; I can't imagine it. I hope the scan on Wed is reassuring. Hugs X

DoctorDonna best of luck this morning!!! X

DoctorDonnaNoble · 16/05/2017 07:58

@WLMcI thanks for remembering! In a little over an hour I'll know. I now have nervous bladder and need a wee. Not ideal.
