TALLULAHBELLE · 13/04/2007 12:24

Hi WeeOnion - yes, it was lovely to meet you. You fair cheered me up. Am about to strap myself into the support belt and go out for lunch with DP. Feeling brave enough to attempt walk to Byres Road.

midnightexpress · 13/04/2007 12:27

So I've heard WO, though haven't given it a try yet. The day can't be far off though. Am presently scooping the bags up off the floor - so not a good look. Will have to start showing off my (for once) ample bf bosom to draw attention away from the haggard face.

Enjoy the sunshine y'all. I'm off to pal's garden this afternoon to drink tea and eat buns.

liath · 13/04/2007 12:30

at all you West Coast folk. The haar has come it in Edinburgh and it's ruddy freezing.

lazyemma · 13/04/2007 13:36

still no news. Last night I thought something was definitely happening - woke up at 2am with horrendous lower back pain and menstrual-ish cramps. I couldn't find any paracetomol so rang the hospital to ask if it was OK for me to take some of my husband's co-codamol. They said yes, fine, so I did, went back to sleep an hour later and slept right through till this morning, when I woke up in no pain whatsoever, after the best night's sleep in ages! What's that all about?

Also met a silly woman today who informed me that I look like I've still got ages to go, as I'm still carrying high. I refrained from karate-chopping her in the face, just, and instead informed her that my midwife said the head is as engaged as it's going to be before labour starts. Everyone's an expert when you're pregnant, eh.

Hope everyone else is having a better day than me.

midnightexpress · 13/04/2007 20:15

oh, not far off now Lazyemma, I'm sure. With DS1 I had contractions for about 18 hours and finally fell asleep and woke up to find they'd stopped completely. Started again late afternoon and ds1 was born at 1am. Definitely sounds as if things are getting going.

weeonion · 13/04/2007 20:38

lazy - not that i nothing anything but it does sound as if things are heding teh labour way. plan to do soemthing over the weekend and no doubt - that is when the bubba will arrive!!

i knwo what you mean about everyoen is an expert. if anyone starts - i either cut them off midflow or i say "that is very intersting but i am more interested as to why you wnated to say that to / tell that to me??"
your karate chop idea is a possible alternative tho!

Loulee · 16/04/2007 18:45

it was great to be child free - was really looking forward to sleeping through the night but kept waking - we were in the haunted room apparently - don't know if that had anything to do with it...or if I'm just so used to wakening now...or if i was worried about missing my breakfast! -but fab room with 4 poster bed and jacuzzi, overlooking the gardens. and yes, "us' time was great.

Loulee · 16/04/2007 18:46

oh, and the wedding was good too

weeonion · 16/04/2007 23:26
