Anyone who is similar please come and join, I want to complain and not be told he'll come when he's ready Sad I know that that is the case but I can't have it repeated to me any more than what I've already heard it, mainly by the annoying fuckers who text me and ask if the baby is here yet!

I went to the midwife for a sweep at bang on 40 weeks but she couldn't do it because he wasn't engaged enough so I can't try again until Thursday which is pushing it too close to Christmas Day Angry And I had £50 worth of acupuncture yesterday and he's still as high as he was 6 weeks ago.

I'm sorry for the moan but I'm so fucked off, I just don't want him to have a birthday any closer to Christmas than what he has to Sad

If anyone was barely engaged with not even a hint of a show but suddenly dropped and went in to labour, now is the time to share your stories!

Whatthefreak - sorry to hear that. Last thing you need Sad

I'm only 39 weeks but getting sick of 'is the baby here yet?' messages. No signs whatsoever that's ready to come and bump hasn't dropped. Got a sweep next week - please come baby!

mistletoe1 · 21/12/2016 23:18

We've had our baby boy. Labour started naturally at midnight but got going extremely fast - my MW arrived at my home at 1am and sent us straight to hospital. Contractions one on top of the other. Baby born at 10.30 am after epidural as I was involuntarily pushing at 6cm, then ventouse and forceps. Phew! We're both in a bit of a state but he's adorable and so worth it.

So, I've been having contracations every 8 mins or so for a bit now, lasting around 40 seconds but they aren't very painful?!

Is this tightenings? Confused

lilydaisyrose · 22/12/2016 04:18

Congratulations mistletoe!

Here's our news - baby girl born at 41+5 at home in the pool on Weds 21st Dec weighing 7lbs 2oz.

Come on babies!

Wonderful news lily, congratulations!

Whatthefreakinwhatnow · 22/12/2016 06:40

Still coming every 7/8 mins and getting marginally uncomfortable! Praying that this is early labour and they will keep coming and get worse asap!

Elland · 22/12/2016 07:54

Congratulations Mistletoe and Lily!!! Lovely news to wake up to! GrinFlowers

I think I'm starting with something too, woke up in the night with rock solid bump and low down pain and it's carried on this morning, think I might have had a bit of a show too (could just be after effects of the sweep though).

Keep us updated Freak, I really hope this is it for you!

Amazing news on the births of your babies ladies!!!

For those in early labour, all the best and I hope this is your big moment.

Xxx

QuilliamCakespeare · 22/12/2016 08:28

Congrats guys!

Baby Quill is also here (40+4). Labour was 1hr 20mins from first contraction to delivery so we only just made it to the hospital in time. Everyone is well though and he's gorgeous Smile

Elland · 22/12/2016 08:43

Anyone else feeling anything and in the stages of labour??

Elland · 22/12/2016 10:08

How are you doing due? Any signs?

Stubble did you end up seeing your friend yesterday?

Elland · 22/12/2016 10:23

What do contractions actually feel like? I know that's a weird question but I'm getting pain at the bottom of my belly, it's like really bad period pains which last for about twenty seconds with my bump tightening up at the same time?! Does that sound about right? Makes me feel like I need to stay completely still until it's over.

OP posts:
QuilliamCakespeare · 22/12/2016 10:31

Yeah, that sounds like a contraction Elland. Mine were all in my tummy until Transition where they spread to my lower back too.

StubbleTurnips · 22/12/2016 10:42

Congrats!!Flowers

Gah, am I the last one pregnant??? Envy

I did Ell - I've also got friends coming for birthday cake today at mine. I had 2hrs of false labour last night Hmm

Dueindecember2016 · 22/12/2016 10:46

elland nothing today but had about 40 minutes of twinges last night but that was as probably because of the curry and the amount I ate. We're going for a nice walk today to see if that helps as I'm loosing all faith in 'tricks to help'.

My due date is tomorrow, if I go into labour today it'll be brilliant.

How you feeling?x

cnchapmanxx · 22/12/2016 12:28

My due date tomorrow too and I'm like losing all will that she will be on time.
I've had no twinges, no signs only shitty period cramps that last about 3/4 hours then just go.
Lost a bit of my plug in November but nothing since. Fear I'm in it for the long haul until January in which I will cry like a baby if that's the case haha! 😔

Princesspinkgirl · 22/12/2016 12:42

Congratulations all to those who've had there baby
