Thanks firststar

May I join in -- even if only for a little while? Had a very faint positive yesterday 10dpo after m/c five months ago. Am pretty sure
it's a positive, but it's so early that the chances of losing it again are still very, very high. Won't tell anybody this time except MN and DP (in that order). Have been posting under another name but figured new pg should go along with new optimism and name...

GlimmerOfHope · 02/03/2007 16:37

Any advice about how to get through the first weeks and when to book the first scan
(I would like to have an early one), bloodtests, etc? Jules 99, sorry to read about your worries. Did I understand correctly that you can see something at week five? Any opinions on waiting until week eight, so that one can see a heartbeat? That seems terribly far away...

Jules hon, I've posted for you on the other thread. I bleed really heavily last night/today and thought it was all over, I really did. Called the EPU and they called me in for an emergency scan and the sac is still there, they don't know where all this blood is coming from but the baby seems safe for now. I really urge you to call yours and go and get a scan. Also, they were concerned about me and the effect the bleeding might be having on me so it might be an idea to call them for your sake too. Huge hugs hon xx

Prof Regan had a similar experience which she talks about in the Pregnancy Week by Week book - blood everywhere, had to leave a meeting with blood all over her clothes, thought it was all over, scan next day showed all ok.

hoping so much that this proves the same for you, do get another scan.

MrsMcJnr · 02/03/2007 21:28

I hope you get some sleep tonight hon, you must be exhausted, really thinking of you. Please call the hospital when you feel up to it. xx

MrsMcJnr · 02/03/2007 21:29

time4tea - I remembered that too this afternoon when I was in floods of tears over my bleeding.. it was bugging me though that I couldn't remember what had actually caused her bleed.

MrsMcJnr · 03/03/2007 09:44

How are you feeling this morning Jules? I hope you are ok.

Daisybump · 03/03/2007 09:47

Jules (((((((((hugs))))))))) Please call the hospital and get booked in for a scan. I know of quite a few people who have had very heavy bleeds, including my SIL who is currently expecting twins. She bled so much that she thought she'd lost them both, but all was well at the scan...there's always hope sweetie. thinking of you and wishing you strength to get through this. We're all here for you if you need to talk some more. lots of love Daisyxxx

Jules....keeping my fingers crossed for you on monday that its positive news.....surely if m/c you would still be bleeding lots, I know i did for over a week with my second m/c (5+6 wks). Try to keep your spirits up, and stay away from more wine, it'll only make you maudlin. Thinking of you ((((((hugs))))))xx

MrsFish · 03/03/2007 22:10

So sorry to hear this jules99 {{hugs}}

gemmamc · 04/03/2007 09:41

jules99 I am so sorry to hear about this. Let's hope Monday's scan shows things aren't as bad as they may feel. Stay away from the wine...especially given that you still don't know for sure what has happened.

I haven't written on this thread yet, but I was hanging around for a while, as it's very relevant for me too (m/c in Sept, now due in Oct - first scan next Tuesday).

MrsFish · 04/03/2007 13:57

I'm due 1st October and have my first scan a week tuesday too

Taichimum · 04/03/2007 16:30

Jules- so sorry. Hope the scan has good news for you. As Daisybump says if bleeding has stopped already it may not be a mc. We all know people who have had heavy bleeding and babies hang in there so you have a chance. A friend of mine bled from week five to twelve and she is now 20 weeks.
It is really annoying when they won't scan you in A & E as they usually can lay their hands on the scanner if they need to. When I went in with bleeding to A & E they told me my cervix was closed and could not scan me without an appt, sent me home feeling a bit silly for going in. I then went away for the weekend and had a mc there. If they had scanned me I would have at least been at home for it.
Fingers crossed for you. It would be so cruel if you have another so soon after your last.
Welcome gemmamc- I know you from Oct thread.
Mrs Fish are you on Oct thread? Don't recal seeing you there. Not long until your scan.

MrsMcJnr · 04/03/2007 17:19

Jules ? so glad to hear the bleeding had died down a bit by Sat morning, I really hope it?s stayed away and that you are feeling much, much better now I?m sure that the booze did much more for the pains than a few paracetamol would have and I?m sure the oblivion helped too though I agree with the others ? no more just in case . I?ve had headaches as if I?ve been drinking since this latest saga began How sweet of your sis to bring you flowers, it?s times like this that I wish all my family weren?t far away. I really need my Mum today , I feel rotten and have never seen so much blood in my life. Your visit to A&E sounds less than great, how can it not be an emergency? Like you, all I want at the mo is to know why I?m bleeding and when it will stop. I was told earlier when I called; that there was one Dr covering the whole labour unit so even if I did go in (I?m scared I might be haemorrhaging) I probably wouldn?t be seen by him tonight as he might be needed at a birth which is fair enough but it seems awfully understaffed. Really hope it goes well at the EPU tomorrow hon. Fingers crossed.

GlimmerOfHope · 04/03/2007 17:36

Oh I am so sorry Jules 99 and MrsMcJnr. It seems as soon as I arrive here things turn out worrying .... Here, the same. I have started bleeding and the lines on the test do not get more intense. I think it's too much to be implantation bleed, so I think I have a very early m/c combined with AF (first two weeks). Will wait and see what the next two days bring.
That uncartainty is always horrible, isn't it?
I am really appalled about your A&E experiences. So sorry.
