38+1 with dc2. Completely torn between wanting this baby out RIGHT NOW and wanting to wait at least until 1 September. Uncomfortable, hot, tired, can't sleep properly, baby's movements now all uncomfortable at best and physically painful at worst.

And my in laws arrive for that weekend later today. They have been asked not to arrive before 5pm so that I have the day to use as I please without waiting in for them; I would put money on them ringing the bell hours earlier while I'm trying to nap Angry

Your dh is definitely right!

Biscuits are a necessity when breastfeeding , I'd stock up now but I'd just eat them all before I even have the baby!

Oh yeah, I lived on massive slabs of chocolate for months after my first. Still managed to lose weight somehow (breastfeeding) but I suspect I won't be as lucky this time round.

At the time I really resented all the sitting around watching TV and eating biscuits. You get sold this vision of going out to baby groups and drinking coffee in cafes, I felt like I wasn't getting the 'experience'. Now I wonder what the hell I was complaining about and am stocking up on the biscuits and planning the box sets!

So that didn't go as planned. They tried to break my waters, but hit the placenta (which had been low but they thought it had moved). I bled a lot, and was rushed to theatre. EMCS under GA and I lost 4 litres of blood. Baby is doing great, I'm alright just not allowed to move until midday tomorrow.

He's gorgeous Grin

Wow!!! Huge congratulations on your new son designed!!!! GrinGrinGrin
I think you may be our first graduate!

Sounds like you're both doing well, even if things were a little (lot) unexpected!
4 litres is a huge amount though (which you're probably aware of!) ...Shock
Take care of yourself a lot over the next few weeks, I lost half that amount once (when DS was born) and it takes a while to get yourself back to full strength.

Congratulations again!!!

Congratulations Designed, sorry it didn't go according to plan. Enjoy the cuddles!

Congratulations Designed! Glad baby is here safely Smile Hope you are feeling ok, despite things not going quite to plan. Take it easy as best you can!

Nothing to report here, had an upset stomach last night but seem to be ok this morning. Had hoped it was the start of things but I think it was just a dodgy Chinese takeaway!

Huge congratulations designed 😊, sorry it all ended up a bit traumatic. Was he your first? Take it easy x

Congratulations Designed so pleased everything is ok even if it didnt go as planned. Enjoy your newborn cuddles.

I woke at 2am with fanny daggers hoping it was the start but nothing. Feel like babys never going to arrive

Congratulations designed and take care of yourself.

Dh is off work again today as he now has a dodgy tummy as well. Really want him to get better now so he can help me! Selfish I know.

My best friend had a baby yesterday so I'm just wondering when is an acceptable time to text her! I need to go and get a card and present too.

Hope everyone is okay today

Congratulations Designed. Glad baby is doing well and make sure you take care of yourself!

Day 3 in hospital here and still no baby. Induction doesn't seem to be doing anything, think they are going to try and break my waters at some point today but if they can't, will need another pessary and more sitting around waiting Sad

3 ladies have been and gone and had their babies since I got here. And the 4th who only came in last night has started having contractions this morning.

Oh and I found out that the "moo'ers" baby was 11lb8 - no wonder she sounded like she was being murdered!

Congratulations designed, I bet he's just adorably squishy! Get plenty of rest! Sorry to hear you aren't progressing far, hope something happens today.

Those of us left, we've missed August, I wasn't too fussed about Aug/ September issue but the amount of people who said stuff to me yesterday! Pros and cons to whichever side of the school year divide they fall imo.

MW appointment yesterday, my baby's head was right down (at that point, I know they can bounce up and out a few times), but was back to back in a position I've never felt it move to before. So lots of exercise ball bouncing and scrubbing floors for me.

Far 11lbs 8??!!!! Shock I think I'd have been mooing too! Tis making me clench at the thought!

Hoping this little one is about the same size as DS was. He was 7lbs 5 which was plenty big enough thanks!

Loobylou873 · 01/09/2016 09:56

Wowsers, 11lb8oz!! That makes me feel a bit sick.... My first was 9lb5oz and second babies are always bigger right?! Every time I stuff more chocolate in my mouth I think 'you're only making it bigger'. Right, going to take dog for a walk....

I know... She was only a tiny woman as well bless her!!

Hahaha I keep thinking that as well every time I eat. My growth scan about 2 weeks ago was about 6lbs so hoping baby is only about 7 now. Midwives prediction was 8lb by her measurements. Don't think I could cope any bigger Shock

Congratulations Designed! Sounds pretty scary, hope you and the baby are feeling ok today.

Far I hope you start making progress soon.

Nothing exciting going on here, my sleep pattern is totally messed up and I'm really just pottering around the place not achieving much.

All this talk of big babies Shock I'm getting nervous! My dd was 6lb14 and she managed to get stuck so I don't want too much bigger please...

Dd better behaved today but I did find myself buying stuff at the shops today for the sole purpose of preventing a tantrum Blush she now has a pair of sparkly trainers and a massive blue teddy to give to my friends new baby. It's pretty hideous so I'll be apologising to my friend !

I'm just too tired to say no anymore...that's bad and she senses it I think. Come on babies!

So glad you had a better day foxes. I'd not sweat the spoiling btw. You've got to do what needs doing to get through the day at the moment!

I've just pulled a 12 hour day in the office... Am knackered but so much more relaxed about finishing tomorrow now. Definitely feel like I've got most stuff done with and can go away without too much stress.

Hope you're doing well designed and farSmile

foxessocks · 01/09/2016 20:39

Oh good grief 12 hours...time to put your feet up definitely!

Dh still poorly...really need him to get better and then we can have this baby! It's my due date today so where is the little guy?!

Report
MillieMoodle · 01/09/2016 20:49

I've been having to bribe DS as well. He's definitely ready to go back to school on Monday. I feel bad that we've not been able to do much over the summer holidays as I can't walk very far, but he seems to have been happy enough just chilling at home. We've seen a few friends as well. Have been getting a lot of attitude from him this week though, which I don't really have the energy to deal with.

Bump is feeling very low and uncomfortable today. Lots of braxton hicks, some have been quite painful, but I don't think they are regular or consistent enough to be contractions. Due date is Saturday and I'm really hoping this little one is on time! Midwife appointment in the morning so wondering if she will do a sweep!

Report
Loobylou873 · 01/09/2016 21:53

Fingers crossed for your sweep tomorrow Millie.

How are getting on Far?

Completely thought we had action stations this eve, strong cramps/contractions for 2 hours then all fizzled away, sooooooooo fed up and tetchy!
