38+1 with dc2. Completely torn between wanting this baby out RIGHT NOW and wanting to wait at least until 1 September. Uncomfortable, hot, tired, can't sleep properly, baby's movements now all uncomfortable at best and physically painful at worst.

And my in laws arrive for that weekend later today. They have been asked not to arrive before 5pm so that I have the day to use as I please without waiting in for them; I would put money on them ringing the bell hours earlier while I'm trying to nap Angry

Congrats! Thinking of you todaycrepe!

Dilligufdarling · 25/09/2016 16:38

How is everyone today?
Am feeling vaguely crampy and I think I lost part of my plug earlier.
I did have quite a long walk earlier though so it could just be that.

DH is like a cat on a hot tin room though GrinGrin

lostindevon · 25/09/2016 16:56

Glad to hear things are progressing for some!
My waters broke 6 pm thursday eve after a busy nesting day.
39+5
Little man was born at 5am ish!

Copied from another thread so apologies if you've seen this but Our gorgeous baby dd arrived this afternoon! After a slow painful start to get into established labour, got to hospital (for a second time after being sent home in the night) weepy and exhausted, started on the gas and air and cheered right up and had a wonderful delivery in birthing pool with dh in with me.
Unfortunately part of the placenta got stuck inside so I had to have treatment in theatre under a spinal block so i can't move now! She's so very lovely.

Dilligufdarling · 25/09/2016 23:05

Oh crepe that's wonderful!! Huge congratulations on your brand new daughter!!!

Hope the treatment goes smoothly and you can all be settling in at home ever so soon :)

MillieMoodle · 26/09/2016 13:25

Congratulations crepe! Hope you are up and about soon.

SockQueen · 26/09/2016 18:11

Yay, congratulations crepe! Glad you got your lovely water birth in the end. Hope you're getting on ok and your legs are back to normal now. Flowers

Dilligufdarling · 26/09/2016 20:47

Is anyone else still waiting on this thread?
Am 40+3 tomorrow.

To be honest I'm quite chilled about the whole thing and happy to wait it out, but the rest of my family - mum, dad, DH and all of my friends are on tenterhooks! Is quite funny :)

Dilligufdarling · 27/09/2016 22:51

Oh dear, guess maybe I'm the only one left?
ConfusedConfused

SockQueen · 28/09/2016 11:27

Hope you don't have to wait much longer Dilli!

Goldenvalley · 28/09/2016 12:08

I'm still here! 39+3 and want this baby out now. Though terrified too.

Stumbleine · 28/09/2016 12:47

Can I join you?

I'm 39 + 3 with my fourth baby. Feeling pretty rough at the moment with a cold and (I think) a tummy bug. I swing between being impatient and hoping for labour and thinking I could maybe do with a little more time!

0hCrepe · 28/09/2016 13:37

Still lurking and looking forward to hearing your news Dilli and everyone!

Dilligufdarling · 28/09/2016 16:54

Thanks guys!
Hi stumble!
I know exactly how you feel! Am swinging more towards could do with a bit more time right now... DH and I got bored with waiting so have started revamping the living room... Including stripping the carpet out and sanding the floorboards! We're going to paint tomorrow so if the baby could wait until at least Saturday that would be ideal!

Saw the mw today, and she had a feel, apparently my cervix is so posterior she couldn't even reach it to see if dilation had started. So am not holding my breath at the moment!
She did suggest I should be booked in for induction, but I've said my preference would be for additional monitoring instead. We'll see... But I did feel very empowered!

crepe how are you getting on? All well?

golden what are you most scared of?

0hCrepe · 29/09/2016 10:14

Everything's going really well thanks Dilli, dd is currently asleep not in my arms which is a first and a bit strange! She's so lovely!!
Well done for knowing what you want. I'm so glad I had a spontaneous birth in the end even though I was getting impatient waiting for induction, it was worth the wait. Sod's law yours will come in the middle of decorating!

Stumbleine · 29/09/2016 14:51

Dilli - hope things are moving in the right direction for you? Or are you still mid decoration?

I had a truly miserable evening last night. Sorry for TMI but...after almost a week of diarrhoea the piles have come out in full force now. Had to send Dh out for emergency cream supplies! Blush

Have woken up in a much better mood today though and have purchased another 200 paint testers for my utility (decorator is coming tomorrow!)

Dilligufdarling · 29/09/2016 17:31

crepe am so glad things are going well for you! It must be so lovely to have your new DD all lovely and snuggly!

stumble sorry to hear of your piles Confused I'm lucky that I've not had that particular "joy" of pregnancy but I know so many who have! With any luck they'll be one of the symptoms that disappears with birth!

No sign of baby Dilli here today as yet so diy is carrying on :) I sanded down the fire place earlier!

That said I have been getting some back ache this evening which is new. I'm not normally a back ache kind of person so maybe that could be the start of something.... We'll see!

Have fun with the decorator tomorrow stumble!

NovemberInDailyFailLand · 30/09/2016 05:09

Still waiting at 38 weeks now.

So miserable with rash all over stomach and unable to sleep or do anything much. Poor DH getting told off for slightest thing. Want this to be over!

Dilligufdarling · 30/09/2016 10:00

Oh no novemebr that sounds horrible Confused
I reckon you're entitled to what ever gets you through the next few weeks!

Afreshstartplease · 30/09/2016 11:26

Can I join!?

37+2 with DC4

All DC born before due dates so obviously have in my mind that I won't go over ....

I have spd, and a three year old in tow 24/7

Stumbleine · 01/10/2016 07:38

November - I know what you mean! My entire family are getting snapped at left right and centre at the moment! Dh left some foil in the wrong drawer the other day and got a bollocking Blush

Afreshstart - spd must be awful when you have a three year old to deal with. My youngest is three but thankfully reasonably mobile (just impatient!)

Well, I was awake for a few hours last night having mild contractions, felt very similar to how things kicked off with dc3. I'm going to rouse everyone and set them to work on my list of household tasks shortly, just in case Wink

Afreshstartplease · 01/10/2016 07:53

I keep having twinges when I'm sitting down of an evening, but as soon as I get up they go away

Disappointing

However, my house isn't ready for baby and I still haven't packed my bag so I should probably be grateful

I'm just so uncomfortable Sad

NovemberInDailyFailLand · 01/10/2016 07:56

The wrong drawer, you say? Mine actually left the ironing IN THE WRONG PLACE. Why does he want to ruin my life??
