38+1 with dc2. Completely torn between wanting this baby out RIGHT NOW and wanting to wait at least until 1 September. Uncomfortable, hot, tired, can't sleep properly, baby's movements now all uncomfortable at best and physically painful at worst.

And my in laws arrive for that weekend later today. They have been asked not to arrive before 5pm so that I have the day to use as I please without waiting in for them; I would put money on them ringing the bell hours earlier while I'm trying to nap Angry

designed it was indeed tongue in cheek. In future I will remember I must caveat with
FFS. . . .
jenjen what miracle position did you manage to find where you didn't need to get up to wee?! That's witchcraft!

I'm struggling with agonising pain in the bottom of my back today. Feeling tired, grumpy and fucked off.

Ohidolike - sorry major sense of humour failure.

40+10 here, and only getting 3 hours sleep a night and had a very grumpy midwife give me a sweep yesterday and then terrify me with everything that can go wrong one way or another. That was fun.

Baby is predicted as being big, should be booked in for induction on Wednesday (+12) but my family are pestering me to wait till Thursday so it will be September. It's doing my head in Angry

Also had enough here! 38+4, due 8/9. Another teacher who wants to get to Thurs 1st but then I'm officially done. Suffering from what I can only call fanny daggers and it's a struggle to walk far with all this additional weight. Plus it's too hot and I can't get comfortable for love nor money. The second time around is not as "fun" as I thought it would be Confused

Pepecat "fanny daggers" GrinI feel your pain! It's a perfect description of what I have been experiencing.

Hot and uncomfortable here today, although thankfully not as bad as yesterday. Walked about 2 miles around IKEA this morning, but have spend the afternoon on the sofa. Had quite a lot of braxton hicks today but they've been less uncomfortable than previously. Hoping for a decent night's sleep tonight!

Felt seriously hungover all day today (for the record, I'm not Grin). Dh has been a star with our 2yo, and they are at work/nursery tomorrow. On my own with DS on Weds Shock

Urgh mrs fan I feel your pain.
Totally get the booze free hangover feeling!
Hope you feel better now.

We went to a local garden today, was gorgeous but definitely walked too far. The SPD is really starting to kick in properly now. Just wish it would go away!

I have got huge sausage toes this evening, coupled with cankles so big they feel like they might take on a life of their own. And my feet are so hot. And I've got lower back pain from all the walking.

I am eating Jaffa cakes to compensate though Smile

How's everyone doing today?
I'm on my last week (4days) of work and I feel like I'm clawing my way there by my fingernails!
Over the past 2 days I've lost all energy and feel like I could literally sleep for a million years.
It seems more than just "tired from carrying the extra weight" though.
Anyone else feeling like this? I don't think it's a problem, but wouldn't mind some reassurance!

Only 9 weeks in and I'm hating every second of it. I vomited first thing this morning and last thing last night. It's like my last pregnancy, except this time I am suffering from extreme fatigue and I have an energetic toddler to entertain. Poor DH is doing his best but at the end of his tether as well, as I really can't do anything to help him but lie on the sofa and grumble between chunder sessions. As usual everything tastes like shit, everything smells disgusting and I am forced to constantly eat meals I don't want so that I don't feel even more nauseous. Can't wait for the second trimester, where I'll be getting bacne, kidney pain, swollen sausage legs and endless thrush, if my last pregnancy is anything to go by. Not forgetting of course the joy of getting kicked in the fanny from the inside out in the middle of the night. Why do we do it to ourselves eh?

Ah jen it's sooooo hard! You're 3.5 weeks ahead of me too so I really do feel for you!

Think it's the caring for DC1 which is proving so difficult as well. I am lucky that dh is the stay at home one of the two of us, so he's massively hands on which definitely is a bonus.

It's so difficult though because I feel so bad for not "spending quality time" with DS before the baby comes. The problem is that his favourite kind of games are very physical rough and tumble types or else chasing around the park/field and I'm just not able for that that the moment.
I have been taking him swimming every weekend which is brilliant, but I can't do that every day.

Midwife came to see me this morning and my blood pressure was high and had trace of protein in my urine so she's sent me up to the day assessment unit at the hospital saying they may want to start me off today... Panic packed the last few bits and typically my blood pressure was normal when I got here and baby is fine. Sat waiting for Dr but doubtful today will be the day Sad

Anyone else feel like they want to scream any time someone chirpily says 'not long to go now!' ? I can't figure out why it annoys me so much but it's giving me the rage.

Womenareliketeabags · 30/08/2016 13:57

Oh I had someone say to me today. 'Have you not had that baby yet?'

Oh fuck me no I haven't! You'd obviously never know without asking me.

I'm absolutely exhausted today. Just had a nap whilst DS watched Frozen, yes terrible parenting but I honestly had no choice I couldn't keep my eyes open.

This post is well timed
38+6 , tearful, mega nauseous, got the scoots, hot flushes, thirst like I've had 20 bags of salt, tits throbbing and leaking, sick in my mouth when I lie down, both hands stinging from carpal tunnel, pissing every 20 mins (although only passing half a contact lens) and fanny and rectum daggers
Fuck that felt good trying that X

Iv just had a sweep. Not hopeful that it will start me off as she said cervix is still tilted a bit backwards but its soft and about 1/2inch in length. Praying it kicks things off. Currently sat on my gym ball whilst DD watches cbeebies.

Ooh, good luck Far! Hope all goes well and you can meet your little bundle soon!

My feet/ankles are twice the size they were yesterday. Also have carpal tunnel in both hands. Have felt very unsettled today and also had a bit of an upset stomach with cramps. Have been having Braxton Hicks about every 10 mins or so all day but they've not been painful. Also really, really tired. And grumpy!
